When our Uber driver showed up to pick up our order, the restaurant said it had already been picked up...which means they gave our order to some random person without validating the name, order or if they were with Uber eats. I'm not sure if it's authentic, but I always see Asian people eating here, so that's a pretty good sign. I do know there's nothing I've eaten here that I didn't absolutely enjoy. A New Favorite I stumbled across Lychee Kitchen and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did because I found my new favorite sushi spot that is serving up amazing food. I placed an order for Takeout/pickup and it was ready within 20 minutes. I'm always hesitant ordering sushi through takeout because you never know what the quality is going to be but it took a chance, and the food did not disappoint. and the employees were so friendly. The portions are sizable as well so you'll have leftovers . It arrived quickly and was soooo good!! Since then it's been my go to when I'm craving sushi and I always get the Rainbow Roll and the Yellowtail Nigiri, both are super fresh and taste amazing. I highly suggest trying them out! Chicken dumplings are divine. Garlic green beans soooo good. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the orange chicken wasn't the best. It said spicy on the menu so I expected a tangy spicy orange chicken sauce which I love and it was definitely more sticky/honey sweet so I didn't finish that. North Phoenix /Glendale IMO doesn't have great Chinese food. I've tried many of the local restaurants and either the food isn't fresh or they aren't open currently. Have ordered two or three times from lychee as take out ( during pandemic) and am still impressed with how clean, delicious and wholesome their food is. This is a comfort food place now. The sounds are so hearty and delicious. The spicy crispy chicken and fish are our favorite. My kids always go for the orange chicken. I would love it if it was fried like the crispy chicken. The rumors were true. This place is legit. I had the Hong Kong Style Cantonese Fried Noodle (substituted the fried noodle with the flat rice noodle for $1 extra. I'm sorry if this was offensive to the people of Hong Kong, but I had to do it. I gotta cut down on that calories, ya know?). - Fresh ingredients/combo flavor All the meats (beef, chicken, shrimp, (yes, it comes with all) and veggies) tasted all fresh. It was tasty. It was crunchy (with bean sprouts and water chestnuts). It was flavorful. It was amazing. - That shrimp tho. Nice and big. Not huge, but definitely bigger than other restraints (yes, size does matter, but only sometimes) - fast and friendly staff. (Great service). - most of all, the PORTION was very generous. A lot of times you would have to dig in and go on a treasure hunt to find some meats (especially for shrimp), or they would be just small decorations to "cover up" the dish. But not this place. Nope. Check out the picture. I'm not even joking. This is a place where I would be happy to come back and "gladly" spend my money. And there aren't many places like that in this valley, especially when it comes to Chinese food. I know you guys have recently opened up (less than a year ago?), so please please keep it this way, and keep up the good work! Noodle out. We have tried a lot of Chinese food restaurants around Phoenix and they may have 1 or 2 dishes that are good and the rest are milk toast- bland. This place is very FLAVORFUL. That's the best word I can use to describe it. A young man even helped carry our large order out to the car. My only criticism is that the bill had a tip already added on it. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor of their food, but at least it all tasted fresh. Here's the short version of what we thought: All of their sauce bases seemed to have very little garlic for flavor, which is a plus or a minus depending on your taste. It just tasted like savory water with a hint of soy. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends, and unfortunately I don't have any other recommendations yet for Chinese food as I'm still looking for good places in the area. Here's a more specific breakdown of what we got: - Orange Chicken: not crispy at all. It was soft and bland. - Mongolian beef: we loved the crisp vegetables; however, the beef had a peppery flavor similar to beef jerky which we didn't like. - Crab Rangoon: I'm pretty sure these are stuffed with plain cream cheese straight from the container. There were little-to-no seasonings and no green onion, just plain deep fried cream cheese. - Lo mein: this was pretty good after adding soy sauce and garlic chili paste, but the sauce--as noted at the beginning of this review--was pretty lackluster with msg being the predominant flavor. read more

This place is so beyond wonderful. It is a family owned business, and everyone that works here is part of the family. Last time we were here, one of the servers told us how they opened the restaurant right before covid and because of that, it was really challenging for them. Okay now onto the food: literally you will never go to any Chinese based restaurant again. As someone who lived in China for two years, their flavors are spot on but with a casual American flare.
