Perfect for a birthday celebration! Food 4/5: the food was pretty good! The menu is pretty simple and they have specials on certain days which is nice. We got truffle fries, Alfredo pasta (forgot the name), and Bianca pizza. They ever brought out a cake for me Service 5/5: the waiter was great, she took care of us and helped give recs on what to get for food and drinks! Ambiance 5/5: we went on a Monday so it not packed at all. It's very cute and great for a calm vibe and celebration. Feels very intimate Parking: there's a parking lot across the street, have to pay.

A cute vibe for girls night but is on the pricier side. Pasta was just okay. Would probably get something else next time. The restaurant was very hot while we were dining in. It was about 7 pm on a Friday night in the summer so a bit understandable but really inconvenienced our experience. The waiter was attentive and fixed our wobbling table. Drinks were a bit on the sweet side even after sending one back. I had higher expectations going in but would say it was okay overall.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and the vibes were quiet and chill. Lots of soft natural lighting inside. We had 3 delicious beverages (they have a mocktail menu!) but the tequila/wine/cola drink was our favorite--such an interesting combo! We shared the the lamb rack plate and margarita pizza. The lamb was beautifully cooked and the veggies it came with were so yummy. We also enjoyed the pizza as it was light and fresh. We had excellent attentive service the whole way through. There's valet in the parking lot across the street and the restaurant offers a discount on valet services.

We came here for a birthday. It's a beautiful restaurant with great service but very pricey. Foods were amazing, so I guess it's one of those you get what you pay for. The cocktails were also very good. My filet was absolutely perfection!

I kept seeing LYLA all over my feed so I finally went, and honestly it does feel like you're not even in Dallas, it's very like Italian beach club vibes. Service was actually really good, everyone was super nice and even the general manager came over to check on us which I didn't expect. We got the burrata first and that was easily one of my favorite things. It's not just a plain burrata, it comes with a bunch of stuff like prosciutto, pistachios, some orange slices, way more going on than I thought. It's also pretty big so you can share it. And it comes with sliced sourdough bread that's grilled with olive oil and that part... so good, I loved it. Then we got the cacio e pepe with shrimp. The pasta tasted fresh, like actually homemade, and we added shrimp, it only came with three but they were huge and cooked perfectly. It also had a little truffle in there which made it even better. We also tried the salmon with quinoa and that one surprised me, the sauce under it was really good and they got the temperature right, I asked for medium and it came out perfect. Cocktails were nice too, they have a lot of options and everything looked really good. Overall I'd go back for sure. It's more about the vibe than just the food. I've heard their brunch is really popular too so I wanna try that next.

Oh boy.... our party of 9 had a reservation scheduled for 9:15pm Saturday night. Our party arrived as early as 8:30p with the last guests (birthday girl & driver) arrived right at 9:15p. We were told our table was not ready -- because they'd given it to a non-reservation group of women (yes, them) -- so we'd have to wait a little longer. A little longer became 45 minutes. We were not sat until 10:15p!!! Once sat, it took about 15 minutes to even get our drink orders so at the same time, we ordered our dinner. A bartender named Stefanie came to our table and brought us a bottle of Prosecco we did NOT ask for and proceeded to tell the waitress she gave us a bottle (for free) yet the manager overheard them and said no, we cannot do that. FINE! Come get the bottle off our table since it hasn't been opened. Do you think she did that? No. She continued to ignore our table. Everything took FOREVER -- while most of the patrons were GONE out of the restaurant. We didn't receive checks until 11:08p (no exaggeration). Food was absolutely MID. A pepperoni pizza shouldn't taste so stale after being freshly made. I felt discriminated against the entire night at this place. Not a fan, won't be back. My sisters, if you know, YOU KNOW. Enjoy these photos of the birthday girl!

Celebrated their Galentine's Dinner special: purchase a drink, receive a meal for free. I purchased the Be Mine drink. Really cute and perfectly mix flavors. Not too strong, not too weak. The food was yummy! Small bite plates but really good food and flavors. Service was quick then slow then quick then slow again that was confusing. Nevertheless our waitress was wonderful when present. Explained the special in detailed, explain the small plates and offered to bring the regular menu out. I'd definitely try the restaurant again to get a true feel for the service and food on a regular non-special night. One sour note was the parking. The parking said $7. Upon requesting the car to pay it stated $39. When given the code for validation it reduce it to $8.81, not $7! Why is there fees attached to parking??? That's crazy and not cool. But anyways...I'd go back

I came here to celebrate my birthday and Abram was so amazing and took such great care of us! Surprised me with a birthday cake and it was amazing, the food was also amazing! The lighting was moody as the night went on and was so fun!!

Honestly, I wasn't super impressed with Lyla's. I've seen so many people rave about it so I was excited to finally try it. Service was great and I did like the ambience of the restaurant, but overall it felt overhyped. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were probably the best part of the meal. For dinner, we ordered the Italian chopped salad, truffle pepperoni pizza, and feta salmon. Everything was decent, just nothing that really stood out or made me want to rush back.

    Espresso martini & truffle fries

The restaurant is gorgeous and definitely has the Instagram aesthetic. We went for brunch and service was quick. They had a separate brunch cocktail and food menu on top of their normal menu. The standout items to me were the salmon, truffle fries, and cocktails. The mimosa flight is a good deal and they were generous with the juice options. We got a steak & egg pizza which I was really excited for but ended up being extremely disappointed because what came out was a pizza with scrambled eggs and some pieces of steak with a mountain of arugula on top. Which would be fine but the menu description calls out "sunny side up eggs".

We were excited to try Lyla but overall left disappointed. The service was very slow / no one came to our table for 30 minutes after sitting down. Finally one of us got up to go find someone. Food was cold and not fresh, lacked flavor. Cocktails were syrupy and overly sweet. Ambiance was nice but doesn't make up for other aspects, hopefully they improve in the future

Can we bring balloons for birthday celebration?

I saw a group who did, but it wasn't very many maybe 2 or 3.

What is the difference between the dining room, lounge, and veranda?

The dining room is the main larger area, the lounge is closer to the bar with high tables and chairs but it doesn't really give bar vibes, in a good way. The veranda is outside close to sidewalk/street. The place is super cute.

What hours does brunch get serve?

Considering they open at 5pm everyday, I don't think they have brunch. Best to call and make sure. https://www.lylarestaurant.com/menu

    Is there valet parking?

    Yes, they offer valet parking.

Do they serve gluten free pasta or pizza?

    Yes both!

Are there vegetarian options? (Apart from the salads)

    Yes. Pastas and pizza.

We arrived early so the restaurant was not too busy but it started to fill by the time we left. The ambience remains upscale casual with a gracious greeting as you enter. We were given one of the half moon booths that faced outward to the restaurant. I ordered the hummus as a starter and it was very good. It's a mild hummus without a strong garlic element. It was very enjoyable. The wife started with babaganoush and loved it. The dip was smoky and very flavorful. For entrees, the kid had the Caesar salad and ate everything except the croutons. The wife had the spiced meatballs and loved them. The meat was tender and the sauce was very rich. I had the chicken kabob and I was in heaven. The kabob took quite a while to prepare, but it was worth the wait. The chicken was well marinated and very flavorful. Best of all, it had a smoky flavor from the char, but the chicken remained tender and moist. It was phenomenal. I wish I could have that every night. It came with sautéed vegetables that were prepared perfectly. And it included a white rice that had a rich buttery flavor. We all enjoyed our meal very much and we were happy to return to this restaurant. I need to put it in the rotation more often.

I visited this restaraunt for the first time and genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. Starting off with appetizers, my friend and I ordered the pan shared halloumi cheese. This is paired with tomatoes and fig jam and is a wonderful accompaniment to the complimentary bread and olives served for the table. I'm a big fan of halloumi in general but this one was particularly cooked well and a must order for next time. For main entree I ordered Hunkar Begendi, which is sautéed marinated lamb tenderloin with red and green bell peppers over creamy eggplant puree. The lamb was in fact tender and perfectly seasoned and the eggplant puree went very well with the slight gaminess of the meat. I enjoyed this dish overall and it didn't feel too heavy, which sometimes is the case when I eat lamb. The pieces of meat were cut small enough while not being super tough, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt if you enjoy trying Mediterranean fusion spots!

Fortunately, they had some space on the patio. It was a hot night however they had couple fans to blow away some heat. Food: Started with a salad which was fresh, flavorful and with large chunks of beets, watermelon, and feta cheese. Great appetizer. My wife and I wanted to try a couple of items to share for the main entree, I had branzino. The whole fish, filleted, and grilled. The flavor was rich, without being overly salty nor too oily. The sides 1. Grilled Branzino - Served with quinoa arugula salad 2. Ali Nazik- Chargrilled lamb shish over smoked eggplant puree served with bean salad on the side Both were fantastic. The lamb was cooked just right and turned out moist and tender. The eggplant puree was a great texture; neither too smooth to lose its integrity nor too chunky. The staff was attentive and helpful. The good : flavors were delicious. Our server was attentive and the entire staff seemed happy to have us.The flat bread pide (at another table) looked sumptuous . Chicken shish kebab chunks were cooked well and seasoned nicely and were juicy. The complementary bread is superb. The yogurt dip that went with though was not enough for us to have more than a few bites. Needs improvement: there was no reason why the accompanying (delicious) bean and cucumber salad was 24 to 48 hours old with Limp cucumbers and parsley and flavorless tomatoes. Needs to be fresh daily and use cherry tomatoes or Campari tomatoes for flavor and crispness. Turkish Rice was meh. It was cooked properly but not a whole lot of flavor and perhaps I was expecting more of a Lebanese style pilaf with butter, nuts, spices, onions, etc. to brighten it up. Beyti minced beef had good flavor, but why did they have gristle in it? My dinner companion complains was that this was a cheap cut. The butcher supplier is not paying attention. It also could've used a little bit more sauce on the bread wrap pieces for added juiciness. We ordered the.Tzatziki yogurt dip which helped add juiciness . There was no reason why the Turkish red wine came out warm. I realize that we were in a Dallas summer at 95° at 9 PM and the restaurant was slightly warm but still. Lastly, the owners might think about mitigating the hard surfaces that reflect sound in the restaurant. It's a lively place, but we were subjected to the group of six women who were drinking enough to be loud and screechy across the room - all too common across the city -and I did not need to hear them yukking it up. The place was full on a Saturday night, which bodes well for this restaurant. The staff attitude is good, but I'm afraid this will not be a repeat for me and my companions. .

The star of my plate was of course the chicken; there was a lot of it. Large chunks that were perfectly grilled and they weren't dry. My husband ordered the Kafka Beef Plate with tabouleh and hummus. I hate that I had to remove a star but he said his hummus was "runny and watery". I was having too much fun with my food to investigate, but I'm going to take his word for it. I'm picky with hummus so I don't normally order it from random places. He'll learn someday. He also didn't like a spice that was in the Kafta. It was probably nutmeg or cumin or a combination of both. I also have learned my lesson with Mediterranean cuisine that I'm unfamiliar with. I don't like cinnamon or those pumpkin pie variety of spices in my meat so I never order anything that's beef or lamb. In their defense, I bet the meat was delicious if you like those spices. I wish they had included ketchup for my fries. I'd order from here again.
