Nestled in a suburban strip mall is a treasure, a true, locally owned, small business gem called Lynn's Tea Shop and Cafe. The baked goods are fresh and dare I say-made with love and care. I had a scone loaded with blueberries that came with Devonshire cream. Scrumptious! The breakfast quesadilla was delicious and substantial, filled with black beans, cheese, and turkey sausage all wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Though Lynn's is a tea shop, their coffee is awesome too. Aside from the great food and beverages, there is something else really special going on at Lynn's. Early Saturday morning while waiting for my order, a dad came in with his young daughter. A few minutes later, another dad came in with his young son. I think new traditions are starting at Lynn's. Was really disappointed. Even though the mushroom soup was to die for, I hardly got a 1/3 cup portion. The soup was served in a china desert bowl. The chicken salad was basically, chicken, mayo and onion and was a very small serving. Nothing special. My sister's reuban was good but was also on the small size. It was served with a side of cucumber and tomato salad that was in a plastic portion cup. Maybe one bite full! We shared one pot of tea. Each of our bills were $20! Such a rip off. Sadly, tried this place again for tea due to a birthday. It's just not what you should expect in afternoon tea. Stick with the basics of you go, soups, pastries, the scones are so horribly dry. The macaroons are great. The rest is just finger food that is tasteless and/or so dry it's not edible. I think they need to rethink they're tea service and stick to basic items they make in bulk rather than charge for a tea service that's lacking in taste and flavor. I've asked everyone that we do not go to this establishment for tea service any more. They're just not fit for it. read more

This is a great little place. I'm sure I've written a review but I'm back to write again. I come here every week or two. Sometimes I stop by for a breakfast burrito. Other times I meet a friend for lunch. I usually order the chicken croissant sandwich and soup. Other times I come here with my 4-year old granddaughter. We have our favorite place to sit. She's a picky eater but she eats everything that comes with her kids meal: Giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich that tastes like it's made on homemade bread, chips (crunchy Cheetos), chocolate milk, and a special cookie. It just occurred to me today about what it is that makes this place stand out. It's not fancy. The food is good. The atmosphere is somewhat cold (cement floors and picket fencing) so those aren't the things. It's the SERVICE that makes this place great. They always remember customer names. They don't just sell you a sandwich and then leave you alone. They sell you a meal, then they come and check on you multiple times. Do you need more tea? More water? Can they bring you anything else? They are continually refilling my cup. That's the kind of attentiveness you would receive at a high end restaurant, not a sandwich/tea shop. The breakfast menu is ample. They have a limited lunch menu: simple sandwiches and salads. The baked goods are over the top. Everything from cakes to cinnamon rolls to pie. I recommend ordering their pies for the holidays. Everything is made on the premises. It's also very clean. I've never done an official tea here, but I hope to do that soon. I feel blessed to have such a nice place near my neighborhood. read more

Wow! We tried this place for lunch today for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. It started out with a super warm welcome by the staff, then they walked us through their tea menu. I had the ham cheese and apple sandwich, and my girlfriend had the Reuben. Both we're prepared to perfection. Fantastic service and really tasty food for afternoon tea. My friend suggested that we try this tea shop out. It's quite a drive for me but I like to try new places and I'm so glad that we did. I was really really happy with the great customer service. It was easy to request a reservation online and make a note about the number of people we'd have. They confirmed, and also sent email reminders a few days before our reservation. They had everything prepared and were on the ball. They kept checking on us to make sure we still had hot water. They explained things well and offered us our leftover tea to take home in disposable paper cups, instead of wasting it. Everything about our server was genuine and courteous. I believe her name was Carolyn. It was a really relaxing and nice experience. I really appreciate the generosity and honesty of Lynn's tea shop. Carolyn clearly communicated that our gratuity was already included in the price since we'd had afternoon tea service. I live rather close to another tea shop, but I like Lynn's so much more that I'd rather drive much farther to return there the next time my friend and I plan to meet. read more

My family goes to High Tea twice a year but our usual venue is closed due to Covid so we gave Lynn's a shot. Big mistake!! We had Marie as our server. She was lazy and inept. Food was barely edible. She told us halfway they our service that time was limited to 90 minutes yet it took us almost that long to get our second pot of tea. Some sandwiches are made on one slice of bread. Cookies were barely tolerable. We will not go back and will let everyone know what terrible food and dining we had. Do not waste your money or gas on this tea spot!!!!!!! read more

I took my 4 year old here for the teddy bear tea and we had a lovely time! She loved her food (big deal for a picky child!) and felt like such a big girl drinking tea. Great tea shop! They have WHITE Earl Grey tea! The sandwich was wonderful and quinoa salad was fresh. The tea was great, and the ​Blackberry scone was really tasty and satisfying! The service was helpful and I was impressed by the cheerful answers to all the​ questions I had about teas and food menu before I ordered. They make everything on site and you can tell the difference. The only thing I would like is creamer on the table for the the tea (it is in a central place for everyone) and more clotted cream for our scones. My friend had to get up and ask for the second pot of tea. Food could have been fresher. The beautiful china on display and pictured on website was not used to serve food. Even after reading the good reviews I was still skeptical about a tea shop in a strip mall in South Jeffco, but they proved me wrong! I've been to most of the afternoon teas in the Denver metro area and the food here was on par if not better than the others! The onion galette was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I rarely leave leftovers but ended up bringing some home because I was so full. They have a full vegan option (which we didn't try but I'm happy to have a place to bring one of my food friends!) and options for kids. We'll definitely be back. read more

This place is a gem! Came for the Harry Potter event (finally got my Hogwarts letter in the mail, thanks to Lynn) and was amazed by the delicious food and drink. Their butterbeer tea latte was to die for, and luckily they sold it in loose leaf so I could take some home! They served pumpkin juice which was a perfect mix of sweet and savory.
