The food is here where belongs

The food in the other place is awesome but here I just order Chicharron that was the worst Chicharron I ever tried The service was good I can't complain for that Place was nice but the Chicharron need to taste something I just tried 3 pieces after that I dumped that in the garbage what a waste of money

This is probably one of the best Dominican spots out there. You can't beat the quality, price and how much food you get. The empanadas are $1.50 each, I love the beef but the chicken is usually as good. Not to mention they are huge and delicious. My go to is the mofongo. I get the pernil and chicken ones all the time but have yet to try the shrimp because it seems they never have it. Rice and beans are delicious and the stew chicken is juicy and flavorful. It's a your basic no frills Spanish take out spot so don't expect to be wowed by the looks. Check them out for some seriously good take out.

Yeah M & K Spanish Restaurant got an "A" grade.

On the way to Staten Island on the job and colleague kept going on and on about this place. In fact she raved! No exaggeration she said she thinks about their pulled pork at nights and couldn't wait to get back so this was our first stop as we got into SI. What a build up she gave and as I walked through the doors the smell that greeted me made me silently pray she knew what she was saying. People! I urge you, ignore that smell. Mind you it isn't a foul smell but I guess the mixture of so many different meats and food made me a bit queasy. (She later admitted the same). Pork lovers get the pulled pork with whichever rice tickels your fancy. I had the rice and peas while she opted for the yellow rice. After tasting both she said the (brown) rice and peas won. The pork, no let me pay it the respect it deserves...SIR PORK she did not do you enough justice! We were allowed to tell the server which parts of it we preferred and my personal feeling on pork is if it ain't fat it's beef. Lean pork? Naaaah. Lol. So I chose my skin, not the fatty parts below and a bit of lean. It was soft yet firm, juicy yet dry, spicy but not overpowering, well marinated. Pork haven I tell you! And they packed our containers! I had breakfast AND lunch from this meal the following day! Maybe I'm a bird eater because mama ate all hers. Lol. Please, if you're a pork lover like I am, see beyond the look of this shop. It's a bit too run downy for my taste because after all it's FOOD you serve here but judging from the accents and language I take it it's an authentic Spanish joint. We obviously did takeout. Two stars are ONLY for the pork meal and one for the nice servers. The End

Staten Island is a virtual cornucopia of all different types of wonderful ethnicities all close to one another in fact on top of one another is more like it. Spanish restaurants run rampant and I'm happy to have found this place. A ton of Oxtail over Spanish rice & beans with a bunch of plantains for $8. Rice & beans cooked perfect under the juicy finger licking bone sucking Oxtail in a delectable non spicy auburn sauce. In fact nothing on the menu is over $9. Lots of platters heating & ready to be devoured. All your traditional Spanish/ Dominican fare. Multiple soda & juices available. There are five 4 tops, cafeteria style. And as expected nothing in regards to ambience in a kinda seedy part of town, not that that ever stopped this big white boy before lol. Spanish music playing softly in the back ground. So unfortunately NO not a date night venue. Cheap, ample & about as tasty as it gets perfect for lunch. Oh yeah definitely worthy of a quick pop in for the budget minded that dig authentic Spanish cuisine. Cash only, BYOB bonus.

Stew chicken & arroz con gandules and Pernil with arroz con gandules ! Muy Bueno

Good pernil, rice, beans and beef stew. Good prices. I go here at least once weekly, and it never disappoints.

Serviceable, but far from great. El Pollo's your better bet. Cheap and filling though.

I was…read morelooking for a Cuban restaurant, because I wanted a good Cubano, and instead, I found this place, which is food from across Latin America. They had the Cubano, but they had so many other things, I decided to go for something different. It is a nice space, with Latin music playing loud and proud. They have parking behind the restaurant, but it is shared with the other businesses in the small shopping center that the restaurant is in. Parking may be tricky. The food is on a cafeteria line, you just tell them what you want. It was Sunday, so I wanted to try the goat. Unfortunately, they were sold out. Instead, I decided to go for the chicken stew. For my sides, I decided to go for the rice and pigeon, peas, and the yellow plantains. Dear lord, I couldn't believe the size of the plate that she handed me. The chicken was bone in, but it was so tender and juicy, it was literally falling right off the bone. It was seasoned well and had an amazing flavor. I loved the rice, and the pigeon peas kind of reminded me of Black Eyed Peas. I liked the nutty flavor. The plantains were done very well. I love plantains, they reminded me of a banana, only a little bit less sweet. I had enough food for two full meals, and each of them left me stuffed. For all of this amazing food, and a soda, it was only $16 and a few cents, plus tip. I want to come back and try more things. Thank you very much....

The stewed chicken is always my favorite. Rice and peas always a good choice.b they even have Mac n cheese for those who like pork chops too. Salads, pulpo, seafood salads and more. The empanadas for a quick bite were very tasty too. Seating on the restaurant side and take out offered.

Terry was one of the kindest and most patient waitresses we've had. She took the time to give recommendations especially for the kids, kept checking in throughout our meal, and made sure we always had what we needed. I know some people might say, "Well, that's their job," but you can tell when someone really puts their heart into it and truly wants to make sure you have a great experience. We also had someone joining us later, and she never made us feel rushed or inconvenienced. She stayed patient, continued checking in, and was genuinely kind the entire time. The food was very good. I had pasta with clams and it was delicious. Our drinks and apps were delicious as well but great service can completely change an experience, and Terry really stood out and made our visit enjoyable. I'll be back for sure!!!!

I wish we had been sat in an area showing off more of the restaurant and its decor. The service was ok. It wasn't anything memorable. However, the owner (?) came over to us a few times to ask how everything was. We ordered a couple of cocktails. They were pretty pricey, coming out to ~$20 per drink. The branzino was delicious. It was everything I hoped for in a bite - buttery, soft, with some crunch and nuttiness from the hazelnuts. It all blended together very well. My fiancé ordered the maiale. His order was also very good and he enjoyed it.
