It was piping hot and fresh in the box that I couldn't hold one! I had to resist for about 10 minutes until it cooled. M&M is the home of the infamous blueberry donuts. I remember being a kid and having family and friends bring them in the iconic pizza box. Be prepared to come early and wait though. I came on a Friday night at 8:20pm and was the 5th car in line at the drive thru. The shop opened 5 mins early at 8:55pm and I got my to the window and donuts in hand by 9:20pm. The blueberry donuts came out piping hot. I got half a dozen for $18. You can get them glazed or unglazed. I definitely recommend glazed since the unglazed donut is not sweet at all. The outside is sooo crispy and crunchy, and the inside pillowy and not oily one bit. My only complaint is that the blueberry flavor is very light or nonexistent... I remember them tasting better before. We also tried the Oreo donut, which was fun, but the blueberry is 100% the star. Would I wait 1.5 hours again? Probably not--personally, I'd cap it at 45 minutes. They don't have the wholesome flavor you'd get from, say, a batch of muffins you baked with fresh blueberries. An elderly Vietnamese couple runs this business, very sweet. There's no menu or pricing signage. It's extremely inefficient and slow. They have extremely low capacity. To estimate your wait time: they can serve only 5-6 cars per hour. They take credit cards. After I handed her mine, she walked to another room and returned after more than 5 minutes. Once I arrived at the window, it took them 10 minutes to fulfill my order of two donuts. While the donuts may be outstanding, I don't know how they are making any money with such low capacity. They clearly won't have any capital to invest in increasing capacity with expanded equipment or labor. It's like visiting someone's overworked kitchen. Two stars for extremely slow order fulfillment. I'd say it's once and done, unless the wait is less than 15 minutes. I don't think you'd be impressed if you waited more than 30 minutes and are an experienced baker. Reminds me a bit of the hype around Harbor Gallery chocolate chip cookies. Yeah, they're fresh and tasty, but if you bake, you know you've had better, fresher goodies. Well I blame social media, especially Tik Tok for all the good reviews of viral places to go to. We knew we had to get here early so the plan was get there by 8:00pm as they open at 9:00 pm for the blueberry glazed donuts. The food vlogger said you must try it fresh as they pretty much cook it to order. Our wait wasn't too bad. We got there shortly after 8:00 pm and we were third in line. Like I said, getting food from Tacos Los Cholos certainly made the wait seem so much shorter. As they opened and we got to the order window we got a dozen of the blueberry glazed donuts and I must try the glazed raised donuts at every donut shop I go to. Preferably a glazed twist, but they only have the round glazed raised donuts, and having it fresh out of the fryer, barely getting a chance. Cool down, it was light, airy, fluffy and the glazed icing just hot and scrumptiously sweet. We got a dozen blueberry donuts, and I don't know what they do to these donuts, but they are the BEST donuts ever, no exaggeration. I've had donuts at fancy places, viral places, at places "featured on food network" or what have you, and nothing compares to the simple decadence of M & M's blueberry donuts. They are crispy, perfectly sweet, and best enjoyed fresh right there in the parking lot. Eating the fresh hot donut with molten glaze at 9pm on a Saturday night is one experience that truly makes you appreciate life and makes you feel young again. They gave us 7 donuts, so one extra for free. $18 for a half dozen, yes on the more expensive side but absolutely worth every penny for such a unique experience. The donuts are not too big, not too small. They are some of the crunchiest donuts you've ever had, but balanced with this warm gummy soft interior that is to die for. Perfect amount of sweetness and blueberry flavor (not overbearing at all). Again, some of donuts were piping hot, FRESHLY COOKED on the spot when you order. Every bit my wife and I looked at each other like "wow... what the hell are these?!" ... the donuts were that good. People were lined up in cars waiting for the drive-thru line to open at 9 PM (we arrived 10 minutes early). People were coming from the grocery store to other shopping areas in that area, so the traffic felt like you were getting in the way, but it was expected for M&M. Just be aware that there are lines, and the line to the drive-thru can change at times, depending on time and demand. Food/Drinks: We didn't get coffee or the other sandwiches they offered, as we wanted to get what they are known for: the blueberry donuts (also, we got the Oreo and chocolate glazed). My partner gave the blueberry a 5/5, and I gave it a 4/5 (the crispy outer was great). The Oreo was too much for both of us, and the chocolate glazed was at a 4/5. I still prefer Randy's Donuts, but if you want to try something very different, these blueberry donuts are it. Staff: No frills/thrills people that work there. They are quick, and review what you want from reading the reviews here. They don't list all of their donuts, so instead of asking what they have, select your top ones on top of the blueberry ones. I'm sure the staff would appreciate it. Opportunities To Improve: Highlight the donuts menu for people when they drive up or have it on your website. Update the menu and more.
