This is my favorite Brazilian BBQ restaurant in LA. I like their selections of meats and salad bar. Everything tasted fresh and good. Especially their seasonal special - shrimp. Their shrimp is so flavorful and fresh. Our favorite meat is Top Sirloin and Garlic Picanha. It's tender and juicy. We will always ask for the pineapple, it's a must try. The cinnamon sugar compliments the tartness from pineapple, makes it a beautiful sweet balance. We made reservation on New Year's Eve and it was a breeze to get seated. The restaurant was decorated as fine dining with minimal lighting there. It's a bit concerning when you have to get up to grab food from the salad bar. I can barely take any pictures either due to the lighting. I think the quality has slight gone down recently with the price increase. This is definitely a restaurant that we won't visit often but only on special occasion. Regarding the ease of accessing restaurant, the entrance of the parking lot was actually slightly before the restaurant location on Google maps so I can image many first timers missing the entrance to the parking lot. We ate ourselves to a food coma. Becareful, you may fall asleep on your way home! Been craving Brazilian steakhouse and we went for a birthday dinner and it was amazing. Loved the extensive salad bar with various salads to roasted root vegetables. The various parade of meats were amazing; my favorite was the rib-eye and the lamb. The filet mignon was also decent, which I was not expecting. Additionally enjoyed more raw pieces of the Sirloin as well. Everyone of course loved the grilled pineapple sprinkled with cinnamon. They do have a decent wine list of new world and old. Refreshing to be in a California restaurant that was not just all Napa and Pasa Robles wines. If you like Italian red wines, the wine list has a various wines especially from Tuscany and Piedmont. The service was excellent! We had an amazing main server that checked in fluidly and made sure we got a taste of meats that we wanted. We did have an earlier reservation so felt like the meat servers came quite pretty frequently. The bussers were also attentive in clearing used plates and replacing new ones. It really was an harmony of excellent service overall. The ambience is nice. A bit dark but can be considered romantic and goes with the overall vibe. It's a big space and they did a good job trying to make it intimate but not cluttered. Furthermore, we liked the little red/green card they gave us to help take a break and pace our meals. And even with the pacing and not eating consistently for the full 2 hours, we were stuffed! Overall: 4.8 stars for the food, services and atmosphere. I've been to other Brazillian BBQ chains such as Fogo De Chao and I would say this is the better option for the quality of the meat and the sides. It is pricier, but the quality is definitely worth it. It does get very busy during dinner time and service might be a bit slower though. If you are coming here, I recommend getting reservations online. The Service: We had a reservation for 6 p.m., and when we got there, it wasn't too busy yet. We were seated right away. However, as the dinner rush came through, service became a bit spottier. They were still attentive, but if you requested any special meats, they took awhile to come out. The waiters consistently refilled our waters and people did come by consistently with different meats though! I would have to say the buffet was impeccably clean - there was staff watching it and cleaning it as it got messy which I appreciated. The Food: All the different meats were super tender and juicy. My favorite would have to be the picanha! I would have to say my favorite though is not a meat, but the cinnamon grilled pineapple! The sides at the buffet were all delicious - there was so much variety from different salads, veggies such as brussel sprouts, mushrooms, etc, and carbs such as rice and potatoes. I loved the amount of variety there was compared to other BBQ places. Price: It was a bit more expensive than other Brazillian chains but I think the quality and variety makes it more worth it. It is about $80 a person. The Atmosphere: The ambiance is very nice and intimate. It is dark and moody lighting and would be perfect for a date night. The decorations are modern and can be for a formal or casual dining spot. Parking: The restaurant offers valet parking for $6 which makes it a lot easier for parking since street parking is impossible in that area. The area is very busy. Craving brazilian churrasqueria? This could be your place if you're willing to pay a good buck! Don't get me wrong the food is superb and always fresh, but it is pricey. About $70-80 a person. Service is fast, once you are seated, they ask for your drink, then you can get up and help yourself at the food bar. Not only do they have salads but also offer beans, rice, platanitos, cold cuts, seafood options, and some seasonal soups. Then various meat options come to your table and according to your card status (red or green) they will come to your table. Simply if it is on green they will keep coming, but if you turn your card to red then that means you're at a pause for food. Some of my favorite meat options are the garlic picanha, filet mignon, Brazilian sausage, garlic chicken, and last but not least the yummy cinnamon grilled pineapple spears! It is a very nice restaurant inside as it has been recently remodeled. No really good LA views since it is only on the 2nd floor. Some things were good but also M Grill has some of the TOUGHEST meats I've ever experienced at a Brazilian steakhouse. The picanha, which is usually the best had so much gristle I couldn't even chew it. Ribeye was dry and tough too. I love rare / medium rare meat but so much was coming out totally raw which also meant there wasn't enough time on the grill to pick up any real flavor. I had a terrible experience here. I went on Thanksgiving evening made a reservation for 6 o'clock for a group of six people all clients of my business all musicians from the UK. I've been to this location once previously had a good experience that was not to be the case today. Obviously made an advance reservation wasn't very busy when we got there, but we still told my table wasn't ready and I'd have to wait wait for about 10 minutes and then ask can we just wait at the bar and they said OK in total waited about 20 minutes 25 minutes to get seated and there were many seats available not sure what the weight was about as soon as I sat down they explained how it worked which I'm very familiar with Brazilian barbecue they told me they were items that would not be brought around with the same frequency, but you could ask for them specifically one of these items was the reason I went to this restaurant previously when I've been there I've had their lamb chops which were really, really great I told my clients that was the highlight of the menu so we told the server that all six of us at the table would like lamb chops we asked for them to be well done. The server pointed out. It would take 15 minutes usually to get lamb chops out we told them that wasn't a problem, but it was a priority that They came to our table with a sufficient amount for six people I'm going to condense the ins and outs of the whole deal here I asked the server four times over the next hour for lamb chops didn't happen. I asked one of the managers who said he'd look into it didn't happen on one occasion one waiter came to the table with literally two pieces of lamb chop two lamb chops on the sixth occasion I actually confronted two managers and told them about the ridiculous weight. The second issue I had when I arrived while I was waiting for my table I asked for a specific drink, which was a raspberry lemon drop. Describe the drink told him I didn't want too much vodkaand I wanted my drink to be pretty sweet as I was driving. I was just gonna have one drink when I eventually got the drink to my table, which took about 15 minutes. I took a sip out of the drink and thought it tasted disgusting couldn't figure out why until I asked one of my colleagues. What the drink was made of and they said you could smell the tequila. I am allergic to tequila. It makes me queasy. I confronted two managers, which was the sixth time I had asked about the meat that we came for they apologized. I told him about the drink they apologized, but they honestly didn't seem too bothered about how unhappy I was. I decided to leave the restaurant One of the managers did deduct a couple of small items from the menu and my mail, which I didn't understand because everybody at the table was disgruntled and the other thing I wanna mention is when I confronted the two managers I told them do not give me a check that has a gratuity on it seen that the whole problem was to do with the service in the restaurant The final check I got had a gratuity which I found offensive. read more

I've been to m grill many times years ago and always thought this was the one place that wasn't as salty as other Brazilian bbq places.. the only one I disliked was fogo because again it was just way to salty. Besides the service being good i had to voice my concerns of how salty everything was and they fixed it by not adding any seasoning to the meats which did help but each time it would take 20 minutes which again I understand. I dont know if I came on a off weekend but it really did turn me off from the meats. I tried using all the sides they provide to help but in the end it was either 0 seasoning which we preferred but took 20+ minutes per type of meat or just really salty meat. This was my favorite brazilian churrascaria long time ago and recently I had texas and galpao and they were pretty good so I could only imagine how great m grill would've been to me but revisited I'm so sad it didn't meet the expectations I had from a few years or compare to the other spots I've tried recently. read more

Passion Fruit Caipirinha $18: I have had caipirinhas before and this was nothing special. We were really excited for the passion fruit, but it tasted nothing like it. Went to M Grill again for dinner and once again, walked out so full and satisfied I'm already craving it as I write this review. The endless salad bar is a favorite! A vegetarians dream come true. Everything is so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I am literally salivating as I'm writing this, but as much as I love the salad bar, the endless meats cooked perfectly is butter in your mouth, as they are so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every time I think, maybe I'll give being a vegetarian a try, I think, but how can I resist the delicious meats??? The staff are so attentive and nice. This place destroys Fogo and H&H by far. It's bar none the best Brazilian churrasco in Los Angeles. The meats are just so much better here than the other places and so too are both the ambiance and the service. This is the most enjoyable Brazilian dining spot in Los Angeles. I've been to M Grill many times, since the very beginning. We would come usually for special occasions and this time was no different. My sister wanted to spend her actual bday here, we reserved a table by the window, said it was for a birthday. 5 minutes before seating us, hostess tells us that our table has been given to "VIPs", "friends of the owner". We made reservations and made the drive from OC. I was disappointed they placed us at such a tiny table but it worked out fine. I liked that they offered chicken hearts and of course my favorite of the meats was the picanha. But we did find most of their meats to be rather bland and not salty enough. I did like their chimichurri and house hot sauce they provided. Besides meats, they did have yummy grilled pineapple going around as well. As for the salad bar, most items were cold items. Most of the items were salads but were too bland in my opinion. Also, I did not like their mushrooms cold. There was only 6 hot items. Those included white rice, mashed potatoes, beef stroganoff, and bean & rice. No soups. The creamed corn was my favorite of the hot items. The bar area was really well kept and clean which I appreciated. We paid $157 (without tip) for two. Service was excellent. The meat guys came around all the time and would ask if there were any meats we were waiting for that they can bring out. Our waitress was also informative. Our drinks were constantly refilled. The restaurant is beautiful. It's great for big groups or small intimate ones. It is located upstairs in a business building and the entrance is through the back. Today was the end of Tax Season. So my boss asked where we should celebrate. I recommended this place. But ended up being an embarrassing choice. One of your servers suddenly said "Bro I don't like you putting the plate near me.The brother of my co-worker said sorry and he did not understand english very well. But your server Still repeated saying " I don't like that, I don't like that, don't do that with hostility and biting his lips. And that was the start of our dinner another server talked to him and asked what happened. Guess what happened next? No servers came to our table and all of our requested meats were sent to a different table. This was a Brazilian Churrasco, I was not informed that you need to flag down the people with the MEAT just to get what you were craving for. All of our table cards were in Green. Is this a new thing for M GRILL? We all turned a blind eye and pretended that that was nothing as we wanted to save the dinner. Instead of impressing my boss and co-workers because of my recommendation it ended up very embarrassing. We were paying an extra charge to dine at M grill which we thought had the best service and quality of meats + there is automatic gratuity that we did not contest as we want our evening to end good. So why did not ask to speak with a manager? Your manager at the time was not doing table touch or asking on how guests are doing. The 2nd manager was Busy bartending. My brother in law is Brazillian, I have tried a lot of Brazilian restaurant with the same type of service so I am not new to this. M grill you should do a better job with managing your people and training and coaching them. You are not cheap. We pay an extra to have a dining experience with you but I guess your management is not focused on the Customer Experience. I will never recommend you again nor comeback to your restaurant. My wife and I had dinner here ~a week ago. M Grill had become one of our go-to Brazilian BBQ place in Los Angeles, and we've been here more than 10 times over the years. This was our most disappointing experience. The Good - The decor is beautiful and the service is always top-notch. Since the last time we were here, they have expanded to take the entire 2nd floor. Generally, the "flavors" of all the foods including the meats was good to very good. So why the disappointment? My wife and I both remarked that a lot of the meats tasted like (and had the texture) of meats that had been cooked via sous vide or boiled before being roasted on the grill. When the first meat tasted like this, we just wrote it off, but it kept happening again and again to the point we even asked our server about it. He said absolutely not, but we've been to this restaurant enough times to know something was off. We also noted that for a Thursday night (prime time) it was very empty.
