We like to find hidden gems on Yelp and boy did we find one! This place is located on a busy street. There's street parking out front and a lot in the back. The actual restaurant is pretty small. Pretty much a hole in the wall kind of place. And aren't those the best though?! You walk in and have a seat. The owner will come take your order at your table. The menus are on each table and on a large overhead sign. We ordered the quesadilla and the chile relleno plates. Everything is served on disposable plates, but we don't mind that. Everything in the menu includes rice, pinto beans and a garnish of lettuce with tomatoes. That garnish is usually a staple at Mexican restaurants though. The Chile relleno was good. I generally don't order chile rellenos at restaurants (because that's something I prefer to be homemade) but I saw someone else having it and it looked appealing. It was a treat for the eyes and tummy! The star of the show was really the homemade tortillas de maíz. They were light, fluffy and yet crunchy. I don't like homemade tortillas that are so thick you can "sopiar" with them. Meaning you can't use them to scoop up your food. The owner is a sweet man who is very proud of his restaurant. He explained that he doesn't have hamburgers or chicken nuggets because he wanted it to be an authentic Mexican restaurant. He loves that he has regulars, but also gets tourists since he's so close to Disneyland. It's only about a mile away. He showed his excitement for being a part of food delivery services such as Grubhub. All in all we had a nice experience. The food was delicious, service was good and prices are reasonable. I will be back and hopefully become a regular!

Fat and bone.half my posole was this.not worth the money, food flavor was good, but all the bone and fat is unacceptable.

I ordered 2 posoles, and both were half bone and fat, way too much, flavor good but not worth the money

Came across this spot thanks to yelp and I'm so happy we did! Our expectations for Mexican food are pretty high since we're not too far from the Mission district in SF but this place is MUY DELICIOSO! I ordered carne asada tacos and my son had the carne asada quesadilla combo that came with rice and beans. I don't think my son stopped to take a break as he inhaled his food. The meat was perfectly marinated and the homemade tortillas were amazing. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Disneyland.

I used to work here years ago so I know how much care goes into the food & drinks. The Puesto Perfect Margarita is still my favorite margarita I've ever had. Everything is made fresh & you can absolutely taste the difference. I always order mine with a sugar rim. It's consistently refreshing, balanced & incredibly smooth. We stopped by on a Monday around 4:30 p.m. just before happy hour ended. It was nice & relaxed when we arrived. It only started getting a little busier as we were leaving. We took advantage of happy hour & ordered a few favorites. The potato taquitos have been one of my go-to menu items for years & are just as delicious as I remembered. Crispy on the outside, flavorful inside & served over a generous bed of fresh guacamole that makes every bite even better. We also tried one of the newer happy hour items the short rib mini burrito served with a green sauce. Both my husband & I really enjoyed it. The short rib was tender & the sauce added the perfect amount of brightness. I was happily snacking on the chips with the molcajete salsa. It's one of my favorite restaurant salsas. I also love the chips with Puesto Perfect guacamole. It makes it hard to stop eating. Since it was my birthday I treated myself to a Tropical Candy Shot. If you like bold flavors definitely order one. It reminded me of a Mexican street candy in shot form with a Tajín rim & a pineapple garnish. It was festive, flavorful & the perfect birthday treat. The sweetest surprise of the evening was the complimentary birthday dessert. A slice of pistachio tres leches cake. I love tres leches but I've never had a pistachio version before. It was incredibly moist & rich without being too heavy. The pistachios added the perfect crunch & nutty flavor. It was one of the highlights of the meal. One small detail I always appreciate is that they bring a pitcher of water to the table. This makes it easy to refill your glass throughout the meal without waiting. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel more comfortable. I'm so glad we came back after not visiting for quite a while. I love the consistently amazing margaritas, delicious happy hour menu, & warm hospitality. The thoughtful birthday surprise made it even better. It was a wonderful way to celebrate. I'll definitely be back! If you're visiting for the first time do yourself a favor & order the Puesto Perfect Margarita & potato taquitos. Also save room for the pistachio tres leches if it's available.

Doubling stacking deals was a big brain idea, I'll admit. I originally discovered Puesto through the Crazy, Wild Taco Night event I attended earlier this year, and it's nice to know that their restaurant offerings maintain their quality even outside of the competition setting. We ordered chips and salsa, esquite, non-alcoholic passion fruit margarita mocktails, filet mignon tacos, surf and turf tacos, and a grilled shrimp taco. I think I would skip the grilled shrimp taco next time, but the other two tacos were great and the 50% off price point made them even tastier. Our host and server were both very friendly, and we enjoyed the meal. Free self parking is available for two hours with validation from the restaurant.

We tried the spicy chicken sandwich and 4 piece meal with fried chicken (legs and thigh). The spicy chicken sandwich has a really good sauce on it that has a nice kick to it so we asked for more of this on the side to dip the chicken and fries in. The fried chicken pieces were crispy and juicy! For sides we got the yucca fries and Cole slaw. It all came together for the perfect combo. A friend ordered empanadas and they were also tasty. The woman taking our order was kind and patient with us since it was our first time and were a little indecisive on what to order (we wanted to try it all). They also allowed us to move the tables together to accommodate our group, gave us extra sauce, and cleaned our table afterwards. I definitely want to come back!

Not the best I've had, but good. The roasted chicken had too many seasonings. I am not a big fan of rosemary, and it tasted like rosemary overload. The coleslaw tasted like the big buckets you can get at a grocery store. Such a shame, because I think a great coleslaw can make a meal. The bread was just also a grocery store dinner roll. I wasnt given napkins or utensils, but I guess that was my fault for not checking. Service was ok. I do not plan on returning. I took my order to go, but the restaurant itself is clean inside.
