Let me start out by saying that nothing about our experience was bad, but it wasn't amazing or outstanding either--Everyone in the Northeast LOVES Macaroni's but it just fell short for me, as someone who is a regular foodie. Food was okay, drinks were okay, service was great. Again, this is in no way a bad review, but if you're willing to leave the NE there are just so many better restaurants for the price point. I had the chicken parm, which was huge and certainly enough for leftovers (which I always appreciate) but flavor was nothing to write home about. Clams casino were good, and the Caesar salad was nice as well. Like I said, everything was just okay. I was pleasantly surprised here. I had heard mixed reviews so I didn't have high expectations. I went with a group of 6 friends. We were seated in a nice corner booth with plenty of room The room had a large party also so it was a bit loud. My friends all enjoyed their cocktails. Lol none for me as I was driving. The food was very good. The presentation was beautiful! My salad had nice fresh lettuce with several slices of citrus, nuts and burrata. I also enjoyed the lobster bisque. It was flavorful and had bits of lobster. Two of us had chicken parm and pasta which was hugh. Both took 1/2 home. They both enjoyed it The Brussels sprouts and apples was also tasty. One of my friends had the pasta carbonara which was more like caci Di peppi. It didn't have a lot of pancetta. The gelato was yummy. It came with three big scoops-chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel. We had 2 servers-a man and a woman. The woman was very nice. The man rushed us for the minute we sat down. He didn't give any time to look at the menu before asking if we were ready to order. While we were eating dessert, he told us people were waiting for the table. It's not the place to go if you want to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal with friends. Street parking is available but it was pretty full. People park in the shopping center next door but two of the hostesses said they do ticket and tow cars. One told me it was in to park in funeral home or school across the street. read more

We took the parents to Macaroni's and it did not disappoint. We flew in from Arizona and found this fine establishment due to a suggestion from my brother. First and foremost the service is top-notch! Michael and David took great care of us. For appetizer we had the watermelon salad which was absolutely delicious. It had a citrus dressing with a nice piece of burrata, pineapple, and greens. We shared the salad but it was so good that if you have the chance to try this, order one for yourself and don't share! I won't be sharing the next time! For the main course we ordered the halibut special with clams in a nice light broth. The hubby had a 8 oz steak which came with spinach and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked medium rare and was absolute perfection. The father-in-law ordered chicken parm which came with spaghetti. His feedback was that it was a bit salty so this is why we had to take one star away for the food, unfortunately. For dessert we shared a delicious strawberry crunch cake. So yummy! Macaroni's has that warm, classic Philly Italian vibe that makes you settle in right away. I ordered the lobster ravioli, and it was really good, rich and flavorful. I just wished it had a bit more lobster to really elevate it. Even an option to add extra lobster or a tail would take it from great to exceptional. 8/10. My friend had the pasta bolognese with mafaldine noodles, hearty, well-seasoned, and comforting. Another 8/10 dish. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was such a kind, attentive gentleman and really added to the experience. Overall, Macaroni's delivers quality Italian food, a cozy atmosphere, and genuinely great service. After having Macaroni's on my list for such a long time, I'm so glad I finally made it there. I was so excited to have found such a gem in the northeast area of Philly! Macaroni's definitely gives a center city high end vibe but in such an accessible location for this area of the city. The ambiance inside is impeccable, it feels very moody and private. But the star of the show was definitely the Lobster Ravioli that I tried - it was probably one of the best ones I've had. The sauce on the plate particularly was so good! A small-looking place on the outside opens up to a large and versatile space on the inside. There are seating options from the dining room (more formal), restaurant, indoor bar, outdoor bar, and outdoor tables. We only encountered the nicest, most helpful, and knowledgeable staff while we were here. We came for lunch and sat at the outdoor bar, (which because of the season was more indoor, but has floor to ceiling windows which made us stil feel like we were outside. Sean took care of us and he was amazing. We would love to come back and have him again! He recommended some great food and drink options, which we had to try them all! Our food was amazing, and going at lunch time gave us the highest quality food for lunchtime prices. We had so many amazing things, the only thing we didn't have was dessert but we took their famous Crème Brûlée Cake to go so we will be trying that and reporting back! We visited on a Friday evening with reservations and were sat immediately. I had made reservations for the high top tables which were by the bar. No complaints about the seating but the table felt a little small in my opinion. I think next time I'll reserve a seat in the dining room instead. Our waiter and his assistant were attentive and friendly. The cocktails were decent (8/10). The complimentary bread with peppers was a nice start. We ordered a couple apps that were pretty good too. For our meals we ordered the vodka rigatoni with chicken and the filet special. The rigatoni was very good and chicken cooked perfectly. The steak was a little disappointing. We ordered it medium, which it was, but the top looked charred and unfortunately the burnt flavor was tasted with each bite. I thought if we cut the burnt portion off then it wouldn't be an issue but strangely enough I could still taste it. For dessert we tried the strawberry cake which was very good. Found this restaurant online. We went there for my wife's birthday. A wonderful experience all the way around. We sat in the inside dining area. We loved the atmosphere of the whole area there. The dim lights. The small light at the table. The table setting. All added to this experience. Tony was an excellent server. Thank you. We started out with the eggplant stack. What an appetizer. Absolutely delicious!! For dinner, I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and my wife ordered the Chicken Parm. WOW! It just kept getting better. If I could rate 100 stars I would. The food here is genuinely the best food I've ever had in my life. It's so hard to find such good food with even better incredible staff. Everyone there makes you feel so welcome. The outdoor dining takes you to an oasis feeling. So clean, so vibrant and the vibes are just incredible. I've already recommended multiple families to come and I'll have to try to not come every weekend because I crave the eggplant stack and vodka sauce. They all seemed to work very well together, making things run smoothly. We shared a Brussels Sprouts appetizer and it was delicious. I really liked the added apples and pancetta. My steak was cooked just right and my fries were very tasty. I believe they were truffle fries. My sister enjoyed her lobster ravioli, and after having a taste, so did I. We shared a crème brûlée cake with coffee and they went very well together. The cake had the right amount of sweetness and the coffee seemed fresh, too. I submitted a reservation online for 4 people for a birthday dinner last night (5/4/2025) in your dining room. Upon arrival, we were seated at a high top table in the bar area. I told your hostess that my reservation was for the dining room and she told me it was full and would not even attempt to accommodate us. The bar area was extremely loud with rude patrons, even banging into us and our table. I submitted a contact us form on your website last night to relay the horrible experience we had. The only response I received today was an automated email thanking me for dining in your dining room, which never happened!!! And to top it off, my birthday was not even recognized. read more
