Excellent food and very nice atmosphere. The service is great and we have always had a wonderful time eating there.

So I made reservations for LUNCH on mothers day today. I chose this place based on their menu prices. I was bringing my mother in law and grandmother out. When I got there, with no notice and nothing on the menu- they surprised us with dinner menus. Apparently they just weren't doing lunch menus at noon on mothers day. Wasnt an option - we had to order from the dinner menu. There wasnt any notification about this on their website or when I made reservations So that stuck me in a real bind. I didnt want to tell everybody I couldnt afford for them to eat when I invited them to lunch. So I just put 241 dollars on my credit card for a 3 person lunch. Dinner prices are like double lunch prices. I'm quite furious. And some items like chicken parm arent available on dinner menus. I will say the staff great. Atmosphere was 5 stars. And the food itself? I guess I'm mixed about it. It was good but not absolutely amazing which is what I would expect for the prices. I will say that any dish that comes with a sauce...the sauces are on point. We had sampled eachother plates so I got to try a few dishes. read more

I tried this place with a friend on a Friday night at the end of summer. It was pretty crowded so I'm glad we made reservations ahead of time! The inside part of the restaurant is really fancy, with the outside area called the "P Lounge" being more casual and laid back. We chose the outside because it was a little louder and we wanted to be able to catch up without worrying about the noise level. There was a bar outside decorated with string lights and a fire by the tables. The menu had pizzas and different pastas than just the inside menu. If you're looking for more cost-efficient options, definitely ask to sit outside in the lounge! There were even some sofas at some tables, so it set the mood to be a lot more casual. We got the Kobe beef meatball for an appetizer, which was hearty and filling. It was a huge portion for just two people so bring your appetite! We also got bread with some olive oil and we each ordered a seasonal beer. They didn't have too many choices on tap, but we chose some fresh fruit options. My friend ended up getting whole wheat pasta with broccoli and enjoyed it. I chose a pork bolognese dish, which was exquisite and really hit the spot. I would come back just for that! We stayed at the bar after dinner and had another beer. I enjoyed the feel of the outside area but it was lacking some sort of organization. I didn't mind it because I was seeking a casual evening, but the wait staff jumped around to different tables a lot. When we wanted to sit at the bar there were no spots available so we sat at one of the high tops surrounding the bar. No one came over to see if we got drinks or needed another, so it is up to the patrons to go to the bar themselves. This is definitely different from any restaurant I've been to before, but I would go back again and maybe try the pizzas! read more

I haven't been here in years but remembered they had a beautiful patio so I wanted to come during outdoor only dining for sure. Weather was perfect and there was plenty of space between tables. My party started with the fried mozz and calamari which were both delicious. I got the gnocchi for my main course. It was small but I really liked the sauce they were in. Me and my girlfriend went here for our 2 year anniversary the food, seating, service, and drinks were all excellent. We got mozzarella carrozza for an appetizer and for our entree 8oz steak with spinach and mash potatoes. My girlfriend got rigatoni vodka which was amazing as well. I have been here twice in the last year & while the food is very good it's the service that I love the most. Whether you call with a question or sit down to eat the level of professionalism & courtesy is superb. The atmosphere is also very laidback which for someone who struggles in noisy public places is also a plus. I hope Macaronis is here to stay because finding a local restaurant with standards this high is pretty rare. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

I came to this location with a person that comes here in a regular basis. The experience was extremely terrible, if I could give it negative 20 stars I totally would. Tonight, we had Bridget as our server and bartender and she excelled at everything! It was a special occasion for us and she made the entire experience such a pleasure between her culinary/drink suggestions to her vivid personality. I searched up for great restaurant near by for the business meeting. The place had great rating and lots of reviews, so selected this place. I was surprise to see very few people when I went their in the busy lunch hours.... well they were not so busy. However the place had good ambience and very good service. The food was good. Overall, good experience, good food, service and ambience. The price they charges was too much compare to their service and food. Attended a baby shower here. A fun, open, bright space. It was a square high top bar. Unfortunately, some of the older guests weren't able to sit with the rest of us but they had some shorter tables set up for those guests that were not able to sit up at the bar. It was open bar for the party guests. The drinks were good and nicely garnished. The appetizer, which was a cheese, meat, and olive plate was good but there was not enough for everyone at the bar. They only had about 5 plates out. The food itself was okay. The best thing was the penne vodka. That was very flavorful and not dry. Definitely a fun space to throw a party! read more

Overall the service on my visits has been good but then again the person I usually go with is a regular. The food is top quality and very consistent. I have eaten here more than a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I would say it is the best restaurant in NE Philly. We had 5 people for a business lunch. It was perfect. The food was fantastic and the ambiance just right. I wish I lived closer.

If you haven't been to macaroni's you don't know what you're missing. Authentic Italian food with all the extras. Your bread is served with delicious roasted green peppers seasoned and sautéed just right. The filet was cooked to perfection and the veal saltimbocca is delectable. We tried the menu bonus pumpkin ravioli and they are a savory but sweet addition. The Kobe meatballs are an easy go to. Tiramisu is made in house and is probably my favorite tiramisu of all the Italian restaurants I've been to. Staff is so responsive and attentive without being overbearing. I'm so happy to have found real authentic Italian food with parking and a great atmosphere. They are also following all protocols for Covid in a respectful manner to one another and customers. read more

Disappointed!! Made reservations for Mothers day for outside and they clearly overbooked. We were offered a seat in the back. No covering, no heat lamps. 52 degrees and freezing. Plenty of empty tables with heat lamps. We requested to move and were told no. This is the second time that we walked out. Not a doubt in my mind we were bumped for another party. Happy Mother's day. I have never been treated so poorly as an African American in a restaurant! We visited there on 03/26/2023 for lunch and was rushed to eat, pay and leave my a middle aged gentleman who appeared to be the only waiter in that part of the restaurant. I believe he was one of the owners. We were told we had to hurry up because they wanted to close out the lunch part of their day. His tone was unprofessional and rude! The food was sub par at best. I came here with my dad on a Tuesday night. It was a pretty good meal. we got small plates. We got lamb chops, mussels, seared tuna, and clams casino. This is a pretty expensive place and would say quite over priced. We ate outside. I would say it's a great atmosphere. Would say the food was about 3.5 stars. For 1 alcohol drink, 4 small plates, and cappuccino, and tip, it was a 100 buck meal. Not worth it. I am saying 3 stars because the food was a little better than average. The outside bar is awesome! I highly recommend the outside bar to socialize! But so not worth a $100 buck meal. My dad stated that the clams casino was average. It had everything chopped up and prefers the whole clam. The lamb chops were good but for 16 bucks we got 2 small lamb chops. I loved the mussels! They were big and tasty and had a great sauce. The tuna was average. Nothing special. read more

One of the best restaurants in northeast Philly! It's so classy! The service is amazing, the food is delicious(although some entrees are a bit pricey. But they're worth the money). The bar menu is very good too! Love the complimentary roasted peppers! Yum! the bar outside is a gem of its own as well, we always go to after dinner! It feels like you're going to a different place! If you go here be sure to make a reservation- my boyfriend and I didn't on our first attempt and we weren't able to get a seat when we wanted to eat. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. (Although a bit warm- had the heat on a bit too much for my taste) We had a 630 reservation and got there early but they sat us anyway. The waiter came over right away and was very informative on the menu and answered any questions that we had. For an appetizer we got the Eggplant/Mozz stack. It was delicious, I thought the batter could have had a little more seasoning but over all great. I decided to order the Chicken Marsala for dinner as well as a peach martini (which was also delicious). I've never had chicken marsala before and I'm glad I waited. It was done really well. Chicken was moist and well cooked. Sauce complimented the chicken. We are definitely coming back, there are more things I'd love to try on the menu. read more

Came here tonight on an excellent first date with a wonderful gentleman who made reservations for us to enjoy outdoor dining at 7:00 PM. The date went well, so unlike most of my reviews, I really don't have many pictures. I got the sea diver scallops with sweet pea risotto and he got the veal primo. My scallops were seared to perfection and were excellent with the sweet pea risotto. I tried some of his veal primo and it was really delicious, too. The primo sauce just really brings everything together. I would absolutely come back. My only qualm was that I felt my throat get sore throughout the evening trying to talk to him over the loud atmosphere. But, I guess that's expected when the place is as busy as Macaroni's was tonight. Regardless, the experience was really special. read more

This has been my second time here and it was just as great. Our server was super helpful and explained so many items on the menu in depth. My husband and I shared the calamari and it was honestly the best we have ever had. It had a lot of spice to it and so much flavor. The bread and peppers they give you before your appetizers come out are just so delicious as well. My husband and I also got two glasses of red wine. No complaints! I ordered the chicken parmigiana for my entree. The portion is HUGE and so delicious!
