Service was good overall--our waiter, Alejandro, was attentive and provided great service. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the chaufa, kam lu wantan, and sopa wantan, and none of them met expectations. The fried wontons in the kam lu had no meat inside; when I asked, Alejandro explained that they only fry the dough and serve it that way. The dishes lacked flavor across the board, and I would not order chifa from here again. My fiancée ordered choros a la chalaca, ceviche, caldo de gallina, and causa. While these were better than the chifa dishes, they still fell short in terms of authentic flavor. The choros were just okay, the caldo de gallina tasted more like a basic chicken soup, and the causa was missing the traditional bright, lemony flavor that defines the dish. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian flavors, I would recommend skipping Machu Picchu. read more

We are glad to see that the ownership has clearly changed and service is better. Thankfully they still have the delicious Burrito Al Pastor, our favorite! I ordered extra sour cream and they charge me $1.50 a little tiny side. It took forever to get our food and there's no one in the restaurant. AVOID Machu Picchu - Truly Disappointing Experience We visited Machu Picchu this past Saturday and it was horrible. To start, the service was incredibly slow; we spent a long time waiting for our food, and the waitress and hostess was nowhere to be found. Our drink order was even forgotten. The issues didn't end there. Half of the menu was unavailable, and to top it all off, we were charged a 20% service fee and when we asked why, it was because our was bill over $100. To make matters worse, they tried to serve us hot sauce with picarones (which is a Peruvian donut). The ambience had little kids running around with balloons. Please do not waste your time and calories on this place. Ordered enchiladas. Food was room temp to warm...unheard of for a Mexican meal. Basically a terrible recipe. Our server was more interested in a female customer than providing attentive service. I actually had to leave my seat to interrupt his playtime to ask for service. We gave our server a complete review "complaint" of our experience. I'm sure none of our comments will ever reach the ears of management. They comped half our bill. I still couldn't leave a tip. We randomly saw this place two weeks ago and decided to stop in for a margarita. I saw the reviews and were hesitant but I like to base my Mexican restaurant experience on the margarita. The margarita was fantastic. We got topshelf margs with rocks and salt. The owner made it for us. It was actual juices and they were on special! We decided to come back tonight for taco Tuesday. $2 tacos and $3 Mexican beers. The food was so freaking good. I got the carnitas tacos and my boyfriend got a chicken, a carnitas and a steak. Quality vs price - my food arrived 30 minutes after my party - over priced for sure -I love Peruvian food but I was very disappointed.

Went on a Saturday night. There were only 6 people in there, including my wife and I. Waited at the hostess station for 5 minutes and finally just sat at the bar. Another 5 minutes later we placed our drink orders, or tried to. They were out of many ingredients to make a margarita! Settled on mojitos, served in the wrong glass with the mint leaves just tossed in and not muddled. Half the menu was still La Fiesta, so we ordered the Fiesta Dip as an appetizer. It's supposed to have shrimp, but there was none. Bartender brought it out with no chips, so we had to ask for those. Ordered our food and got it fairly quickly and again had to ask for silverware. I was asked what I wanted to drink and got a variety of different flavors for a margarita. . I chose the mango/pineapple margarita & it was perfect! most places have that artificial tasting heavy syrup whereas this margarita syrup tasted more like pure puree! We also had fun with our young sons practicing Espanol with staff, and teaching them some Japanese at the same time! So La Fiesta Grande is still not what I am looking for but it is alright. The service is super slow but the outside patio area is a great spot to have a margarita. The restaurant is cute. My chicken burrito was nothing to write home about. The chicken was that stewed mess inside. I keep accidentally ordering that! The service was Horrible. I have been to this restaurant several time before. The service has always been great. But this time we had the WORST waitress in the history of sliced bread. I'm guessing she was having a very bad day. She never introduced herself. It took over 20 minutes to get napkins. We never received any refills for our drinks. She passed by us numerous times to wait on the table that was on the patio. She continued to return to a table near the bar to sit down and eat her food. If we were disturbing her dinner then we would have been extremely happy get another waitress/waiter. I'm not sure what is going on at this restaurant but it is nothing like it was in the past. Usually when you get a authentic taco you get lime and red or green sauce which they didn't provide us with. I guess my patronage has run its course here. 4 months later, I attempted to give La Fiesta Grande another shot after my last unsatisfactory encounter. I placed an order to dine in at the bar, but it was packaged to-go. I informed the staff of the error, but it I felt it was too much of a hassle to transfer my food from the to-go plates to dine in. I provided my card to pay so that I could rush home to enjoy a warm meal. After waiting for at least 3 minutes, I noticed that my credit card and receipt were sitting at the register and the staff left the area. I waited an additional 4-5 minutes before I was cashed out to leave. Of course my food, that I intended on eating at the restaurant, was cold once I got home. I'm very disappointed in the service that I've received at this establishment during my last 3-4 visits. read more

I ordered a burrito deluxe, all it was a flour tortilla with some flavorless meat. Everything tasted old. I didn't even eat it. My girlfriend ordered a carnitas burrito and it was just meat wrapped in a flor tortilla in the middle of rice and beans. Do not recommend. read more

I have eaten there many times before and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. Tonight my boyfriend had food poisoning from his meal. He had a ground beef taco salad, chips, salsa and half/half tea. We had to stop the car and he was sick on the side of the road and as I write this is still sick and may require a trip to the E.R. I had the super pollo which was tasteless. The chicken was dry and had no seasoning. The veggies were microwaved straight from a bag. I couldn't even eat half of it. The food always impresses, the service almost always disappoints. We have given this place way more chances than it deserves, and that's solely based on how great their food is. Let's start with the positive - the food is amazing. The Burrito al Pastor might be the best burrito I've ever had. I usually order that item, and so does my wife. The staff is always friendly, but... The service is hit or miss, and we've had several visits that were major misses. We had a large group that was ignored for almost 20 minutes before we got our drinks, we've had inattentive servers, but our last visit was the worst service yet. We were quickly seated, and brought water and chips... and then ignored for almost 20 minutes. Apparently "I'll be back in a minute to take your order" means "the health inspector just showed up so I'm going to bail on ALL my customers." (On a side note: this keeps happening to us, and I have a very pregnant wife... if you're going to prioritize customers, take care of the pregnant lady!!!) Everyone stopped working. There were unbussed tables that had been sitting for almost an hour. The manager finally came over after I got up and asked the bartender to order, and told us "our meals would be out soon." Well, no they're not, because we haven't even ordered yet. I think a few other customers walked out, or left cash on the table and left. We ended up finally getting our meals, but had to get them to go since we spent our lunch break waiting on them. I would love to give this place 4-5 stars, but I can't do it because of the service . A group of us called ahead to inform we would be coming, at least 10. We arrive and they aren't prepared for us. They assign us one waitress for our party. Our waitress took some time to get our drink order, but she's also the bartender. We were split into two tables, her having to juggle between us. I do not blame her for poor service whatsoever. They called in another waiter to help her. Once he got there, he helped her. Why I am rating the restaurant so poorly is because the male that appeared to be the manager did not give a sh*t that his waitress was busting her tail to get our food out, still had another table with no drinks, and get things people were asking for. The manager would run to her to tell her what she was missing. He never once offered to get our drinks, even though we asked him twice. It was very evident he didn't understand what we were asking for. If you're going to be a manager, be willing to help your people, especially when they are swamped. read more

This place has really good Mexican food. Whether it's nachos, enchiladas, or fajitas, the food is hot, delicious, and comforting. One downside, in my opinion, was the burritos-they are pretty uninspired. The staff is always friendly, and they have a great outdoor patio. The prices are on the higher side, but I don't mind paying a little more if the quality is worth it. They have take-out and delivery through most third party sites. Wow!! Decided to stop here on our way back from a trip just passing through and I'm really glad we did! I read some of the other negative reviews and I'm wondering if they actually came to the same restaurant I did. The service was spectacular. To the point of feeling like I was the only person in the restaurant even though there were several other tables being handled by our server. Our drinks were always full, chips/salsa always full, and the food was absolutely incredible. We both ended up ordering the Texas burrito and agreed it was one of the best Mexican dishes either of us have ever had. I wish we had ordered two different things and split them. Even though this restaurant is about 44 minutes away from my house I plan to make another trip out just to try different dishes. Even the decor and atmosphere is done with stunning colors and detail. I took my wife and my son and his family. Prices were astronomical especially considering the food was only so so and the service was less than so so. Our receipt included an 18% service charge which we assumed was a tip. However, there was another line requesting a tip. Since it appeared the service charge was intended to be a tip, we left nothing in the line for a tip. I gave this restaurant five stars because to me it performs exactly how it should. This is a middle of the road Mexican restaurant so you're not gonna get anything super fancy but the food tastes good and comes out hot and there are big portions. If you're looking for a fancy, upscale, Mexican dining, this definitely isn't it, but I would say in their lane of American Mexican it is very, good! Went there April 13,2023 for a quick bite and a drink. This restaurant is literally walking distance from my house so I figured I'd stop in since I haven't been in a long while. I walked in & noticed no host on duty so I waited for a minute and just walked to sit at the bar. Once I sat it was maybe 4 other patrons at the bar as well, I went maybe 10 minutes before being greeted by anyone and when I was it was the person who brings out chips and salsa. I said thanks and immediately noticed a bowl of maybe 8 chips and it just looked like they are definitely cutting back. Finally the bartender came over to me, i could tell she was taking tables all the way outside on their patio. She then asked me what I wanted to drink, I said I saw your board in front says flavored mojitos are on special so I asked what flavors they had. She named them all and I opted for a raspberry mojito. All in all it was tasty and I ordered two tacos and one single beef enchilada. I was stunned at how high their prices have been raised since my last visit. Of course I know it's inflation but this is a local Mexican spot and is over doing it a bit. Once I retrieved my bill after another long wait I noticed my mojito was $13.99 and I asked the bartender wasn't it supposed to be on special? She said yes it is? I was totally confused lol $13.99 is the regular price on their menu for mojitos so it made no sense to me and I could tell she wasn't gonna budge. Food was decent but I'm not sure I'd be back again.
