I had read the reviews for La Fiesta that were mostly good. Most of the 1 or 2 stars seemed to focus on slow service. I did not find this to be the case. Although a tad slow for drinks it was nothing to warrant a drop in rating especially with the quality of the food. Even the rice, which seems to have sat for the better part of the day at most Mexican restaurants was fresh. With mole not at many restaurants I quickly ordered the enchilada mole with chicken. Very good. The enchilada wasn't smothered in mole which is most always the case. My wife really liked her burrito as well. Very nice patio area where we enjoyed the warm eGood salsa. The food here is great, I have been a couple of times. Service killed it for me this time. We were seated and brought chips and salsa, we ordered drinks and queso. This took a really long time to come out. Then we placed our order and this took awhile for food to come, but it was good as usual. After this we saw the server twice and at the end she past our table a number of times while other people around us without checking on us. The food always impresses, the service almost always disappoints. We have given this place way more chances than it deserves, and that's solely based on how great their food is. Let's start with the positive - the food is amazing. The Burrito al Pastor might be the best burrito I've ever had. I usually order that item, and so does my wife. The staff is always friendly, but... The service is hit or miss, and we've had several visits that were major misses. We had a large group that was ignored for almost 20 minutes before we got our drinks, we've had inattentive servers, but our last visit was the worst service yet. We were quickly seated, and brought water and chips... and then ignored for almost 20 minutes. Apparently "I'll be back in a minute to take your order" means "the health inspector just showed up so I'm going to bail on ALL my customers." (On a side note: this keeps happening to us, and I have a very pregnant wife... if you're going to prioritize customers, take care of the pregnant lady!!!) Everyone stopped working. There were unbussed tables that had been sitting for almost an hour. The manager finally came over after I got up and asked the bartender to order, and told us "our meals would be out soon." Well, no they're not, because we haven't even ordered yet. I think a few other customers walked out, or left cash on the table and left. We ended up finally getting our meals, but had to get them to go since we spent our lunch break waiting on them. I would love to give this place 4-5 stars, but I can't do it because of the service . I ordered the Burrito supreme & all I'll say is that my ex boyfriend has more substance to him than that thing. As far as our server goes, I know horses with blinders that would still pay me more attention than she did. I've come here twice since the new management. The first time I came with my boy friend and I ordered the chicken quesadilla. Something pretty basic you would think. My boyfriend ordered a platter that had steak, shrimp and chicken with rice(I can't remember the name). My meal was not that great. I'm not a fan of shredded chicken there was water/liquid coming out of my quesadilla. However, my boy friends meal was delicious! Everything season to perfection, hot and it was a nice sized portion. The second time I came, I came only to socialize and drink. I ordered chicken wings(I know it's frowned upon, lol) and to drink I offered a margarita. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place.. low sanitation grades and too many mistakes. The wait staff is adequately friendly, but their lack of attention to detail is their downfall. Last 3 inspection grades: 83.5, 80, 90.5. This is rather terrible and indicative of sloppy management and poor health practices. The state reports (available publicly online) document bad sanitation and unsafe food handling. I recommend you go read the reports. Regardless of that, I've come 4 times recently to get a good feel for the place. 1st trip: I went by around 5p on a weekday to place a to go order. I ordered nachos with just cheese and chicken, no vegetables or sides. I was given plain chips with cheese, no chicken. Did not discover until I got home. 2nd trip: Went great, no complaints. Good service and no memorable errors. 3rd trip: Ordered cheese dip as an appetizer but the waitress forgot to process that request. When she brought out the lunch entrees, she remembered that she forgot about the cheese dip and offered to go and get it, but we declined since we were ready to each lunch and leave to get back to work. 4th trip (today): It took about 6-8 minutes for someone to come to our table once we arrived. There was no hostess to seat us. Ordered cheese dip as an appetizer but the waitress forgot to process that request. Upon our lunch orders being brought to the table, there was no mention of the cheese dip, nor was it on the receipt, so it appears to have been thoroughly forgotten. While the outside patio and indoor decor look good, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant due to the many blunders they make. 3/4 visits with major mistakes is very bad. The only fast service provided by our waitress was at the end to collect the check. Our waitress didn't take out drink order when seated once out food was brought to the table she didn't come check on us. We asked for refills multiple times and still had to wait until she remembered. The waiting time for them to bring the food was over 30 mins. read more

After seeing the reviews I really didn't want to come but most of them said the food was good so while we charged our car at the gas station. Jacky greeted us right away and she was our waitress. She gave us great recommendations and she was honest about her opinion of the foods and drinks. I had the jalapeño margarita which was one of the best I had. The meat is iffy. Regardless of what you get. The service isn't necessarily slow, but it is strange that most of our servers had no knowledge of specials, ingredients or that mojitos are on special but they have no mint. (Lazy or out of mint are the same thing in the customers eyes). It does satisfy the "need for Mexican food" but don't shoot for flavor. Shoot for experience. The vibe is fun and colorful. We have always loved the food here but last nights service was absolutely the worst I have ever had. After being told to sit ourselves, a person brought out the chips and salsa. He noticed the table was dirty, said he was going to get a rag, never saw him again. We finally got up and got our own chips , which he had placed on another table. We actually only saw our waitress three times during the meal and that was after having to get the manager to step in. Dropped off food,all except mine , and that never came. Finally had to get the manager to get our bill and he did take my meal off He did box it up to go and I will enjoy it later. So this is my second time here and I'm sad to write a poor review, however the reason why I'm writing this instead of dining on delicious Mexican cuisine is that we literally haven't seen our waiter to tell him to bring us the check for this cheese dip in the 30 mins we've been sitting here. My first experience was average but today is crazy. I don't know if they're short staffed or what but there's 1 bartender, 1 bus boy, and 1 waiter. There's an elderly woman who brought us chips and salsa but THE waiter has been zooming all over the restaurant. After waiting so long we basically finished the chips the waiter brought us two waters with no ice and 15 mins later comes zooming over and exclaimed "you know what you want yet?!" Trying not to get annoyed we ordered the Fiesta Dip. 15 mins later he slides it onto the table and leaves before we can say a word! The dip is literally so watery it won't stay on the tortilla! Then he comes back at some point and asks if we're ready to order. As politely as I could I said "it seems you're short staffed and unable to accommodate us so we'll just stay with the appetizer. He walks off without even acknowledging what I had just said. I thought that the cheese just needed to cool but no, it's basically water. So we wait...and wait...and wait...and wait. Finally he comes back and I asked for the check. I showed him the dip and he literally started trying to count the shrimp. I told him that I ate 1, which I did. He then proceeds to charge 1/2 price for it. Now we're not hard up for cash just so we're clear. But the principle is why I'm annoyed. He did not care that he'd given poor service. Please do not ask for a side of cheese, sour cream or guacamole. A small side of gauc was $5.25 as it only comes in small or large and a plastic cup of shredded cheese was a $1. We have been here three times and every time the food and service has gone slightly down. The first time it was excellent. My youngest still says his enchilada kids meal is his favorite of all time, even in this third visit and after going to probably over thirty different Mexican restaurants. The fajitas texicana are really good. The burito my husband got was small and looked like an enchilada. The burito my son got was good also. The service has gone down. The server we had this time seemed bothered that we were there at first. I had to go to the bar to get more salsa and chips. After that the wait staff all pitched in and made great efforts to ensure we had what we needed. And the server did make more effort but then we felt guilty for the extra effort. If you are looking for descent food and service this is a good choice, just don't expect to be wowed. read more

The manager I assume walked around every table to see how customers were doing. I thought yes, this will be great. We had a yelp check in for free cheese dip. After our food was delivered we were never checked on again. I tried flagging down someone several times by waiving my arms in the air......hello, someone please!! Our regular waitress finally came and asked us if we needed anything about the same time the waitress we flagged down was returning with our water. I asked her for the bill. Our waitress was at the bar with her phone our chatting with the manager who was now enjoying his meal (I am assuming he was the manager because he was the one who had came around to the tables after we arrived). This is the third time we have tried this Restarunt and I am pleased to say the food was quite good and very plentiful. We had tea to drink and there was a small problem keeping the glasses full even though our server had plenty of time to chat on her cell phone while on the floor. I'm not sure if this was her first day as she didn't pay attention until I spoke up. Which I did a couple times. The wife never did get a refill of tea so I shared my second glass with her. Also it bothered me a little when she took my glass and straw away to refill it. Then almost dumped it on me when she returned it. Only one more thing to mention and I'm not sure if Yelp or the Restarunt will be affected. Yelp has a coupon for a free small cheese dip on the Restarunt web site. Our server had never seen this before so she took my phone to ask the manager. When she came back she asked me to show it to her again when I got the bill. No idea why she couldn't remember this. Even though I have spent a lot of this review on service I must admit it was the best their food has ever been. I wish them well and might try them Anson as they are very close to our home.
