First he did a full assessment of my new and old Mac's to see what I had and see if my new equipment would meet my current needs. Through the process it was determined that what I had purchased was not the optimum choice for me. I found MacMan via a Google search and I chose to give them a call purely because of the straightforward information that I found on the MacMan company website. Leading up to that point I had experienced many bumps in the road, technologically speaking, due to the poor work of another contractor. Needless to say, I was a little leery of hiring another contractor. Upon the first phone conversation I had with Jeremy, I felt confident that he would be able to help with my small business tech needs. Furthermore, he was available to come to my place of business with less than 24 hours notice. To my delight, Jeremy was able to squelch any further "contractor doubt" I had within the first 15 minutes of meeting him. Jeremy's been helping me with my mac for probably a decade now. He is super fast and professional, easy to get hold of. All recent appointments have been phone consultations. I swear the guy's mind is like a computer, six screens open, stuff popping and flashing (back when he made house calls in the Bay Area). He can also communicate in human language and walk me through the process, even through the process of buying a mac (at the Apple Store). My one caveat is that it helps for the client to be clear as to what his or her needs are (precise questions etc.), to be alert and in good health, and to have a thick skin at times. Jeremy is delightfully direct, with no unnecessary words, and the downside of this is a bluntness that can bludgeon. I've had nicer people, including those at the Apple Store, help me with computer problems, but none of them come close to Jeremy's expertise and professionalism. Bottom line: Highly recommended, especially if the client avoids taking things personally. Will give five stars when he mellows out. read more

MacMan is a magician of the Mac and makes everything run like clockwork. Jeremy did the transfer for me when I switched from PC to Mac and since then has kept everything rolling along smoothly. I recently switched internet services and while the install went flawlessly, the next day my wireless decided to kick up and cause problems right as I needed to complete and send a highly important work document - at 10pm in the evening. Jeremy responded immediately to my cries for help (which I made after calling my new internet company who said it wasn't their equipment) and at 10:30 in the evening talked me through rebooting the wireless so I could get my work done. Above and beyond the call of duty - and he's always like that - will jump on remotely and troubleshoot for you if there are problems. In this world of needing to be connected 24 hours a day, MacMan is an absolutely necessary tool to have in your arsenal - and on your iChat - to stay ahead of the constant demands of daily life! read more

There's a reason this guys gets 6 stars consistently. He's stellar. And funny. And trustworthy! And did I mention funny? A crapped out hard drive is never fun. I thought I lost the last five years. Amid the humor, he recovered my data, offered sound advice and recommendations and had my computer back up and running in a day faster and better than ever. He cleaned up years of crap and got me current. A few day's later, he followed up with a sensible back up solution and held my hand through the set up. Mercury retrograde is real and it is just a matter of time before some SNAFU happens. Lesson learned, backing up is crucial. I can not tell you how safe and good it feels to know that my life now lives in a device that fits in the palm of my hand, outside of my computer. If you got Mac troubles, pick up the phone and call. Let me break this down as simply as possible: -2 yr. old Macbook Pro that suddenly powers on to a blank white screen -Genius Bar says a dead hard drive so I need to replace that plus because I did not back up my data (lesson learned) I will need to pay for data recovery, typically around $1,000 (plus the cost and installation of the new hard drive) -Second opinion at another Mac store repeated the Genius Bar assessment -Jeremy (MacMan) takes a look and in a little over an hour he fixes the issues on the hard drive and deduces it is a bad hard drive cable -Cost of a new cable, $35 -My Macbook Pro not only functions perfectly now, it is as fast as when it was new thanks to the additional tune up MacMan did -If you have a Mac product, and you have a problem, call MacMan. I was having issues with my outdated iBook G4 and needed data recovery/transfer and I looked no further than the 5-star rated specialist [of all the other Mac-Specialists], and I will never look back.. Macman is truly a high level expert in his field and a really nice guy to boot. In relatively little time he reconfigured our whole home wireless, i-phones, i-pads, laptops, music, apple tv and got us backing up to time capsule so there's no more fear about losing everything. He was very patient with my technological ineptitude, and really seems to get satisfaction in knowing that we now have a much better understanding of our technology and how to make it work for us. I'd gotten my computer tied into knots, and he found the perfect solution to get me untangled and back on track, then advised me how to avoid the problem in the future. My computer is about 6 years old, so you would expect it to have a lot of little problems, but it only had one major one. After running it over to the MacMan (wrapped in my wife's Snuggie to protect it from the rain) he was not only able to fix the problem but point out other issues that were slowing my computer down and fix those too!
