As of Sept 19, 2025 - the new Fall menu is out!! Was so excited to see the new creations. The guy at the register was extremely helpful with answering all our questions and giving his suggestions. Carrot cake latte (half sweet) was delicious, 10/10!! Wow - I can see why it was on the Spring menu AND continuing into the Fall menu. Unfortunately the almond croissant latte was a total miss. It's more of a basic "almond latte" than anything special, very underwhelming to be honest. Not sure where the croissant in the name comes into play. The place is very pretty and clean. There is easy sidewalk parking at the front of the cafe. It can easily park about 6 cars. There is also a parking garage available. What's cool is it's located next to a sit in restaurant as well. I believe it's part of it! Drinks take a while but for one staff member working at the time; it was pretty reasonable. Sam is the BEST! Honestly, she's the only reason I come to this café. Anytime I've stopped by when Sam isn't working, I've been disappointed with the coffee it just never tastes the same. Sam brings such good energy and has a natural way of knowing exactly how her customers like their coffee. She always has a positive attitude, and I've never once been disappointed with her service. shoutout to my google maps for populating this place when searching up "coffee in my area" while i was out doing errands. i didn't know what to expect, but wow was i blown away. the coffee? exquisite. though they have just a handful or two of flavors, they know how to make them well. i had ordered a tiramisu latte, and it was delicious! not too sweet but not necessarily bitter either; goldilocks would've been satisfied. i know i was. the shop had plenty of space to sit and the most bizarre part? it seems like it's half a coffee shop and half of an italian place. ever wanted pasta with your coffee? you came to the right place. i loved the modern and simplistic decor that they had, and each staff member was kind and helpful, asking me questions when they noticed me hovering by the menu to see if they could help with anything. parking is a bit confusing. i had circled around a few times before lucking out right in front of the shop. it was only once i entered that i found out there was a garage i could park at and get free validation for. highly recommend!!! read more

This place was super hard to find and access. When I arrived it was a huge spot because it was half restaurant half coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The floors were extremely sticky like if someone had spilled juice and let it dry which was really gross.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It would even make that sticky noise as you walk. Mad coffee shares a space with Rafael's Kitchen, which I will have to come back and try. Mad's menu has traditional offerings and some creative drinks. I decided on the Cairo which is cinnamon, cardamom, and honey latte. Even at half sweet, it was really sweet. The spices complement the coffee well. I think I will try it with no honey next time. There is a small pull up parking area in the front for about 4 cars and there is a 24 minute parking limit. There is also a validated parking structure parking. Causal. Indoor seating. Good service. Was super excited to try the Baklava latte, but I think I was looking at an old menu! Tried out their seasonal flavor: Brown Butter Sage, and it was super indulgent but delicious. I think I may be used to Oatly barista blend oat milk, which has a much thicker, creamier mouthfeel, and I believe they use Minor Figures Barista Blend, which is thinner. Personal preference, but I would have enjoyed another brand of oat milk. However, the brown butter sage syrup was super yummy! Did not get too much sage flavor coming through, but the more of the latte I drank, the more of the rich, nutty brown butter flavor came through. I would definitely come back and enjoy a meal at the adjacent pizzeria while enjoying another specialty latte! The space is fairly large with lots of seating, and I could imagine coming to do some work. read more

Got the Madagascar vanilla latte and it was just okay. It seemed to be lacking in terms of the smoothness and flavor of espresso and it was definitely on the sweeter side. It was also quite pricey for about $7 and the quality of the drink didn't justify the price. The interior is pretty spacious with shared seats for Rafael's restaurant and the cafe. They have a seasonal menu with unique flavors of drinks but most of it sounds to be quite sweet so would recommend requesting less sweetness if you don't like your drinks overly sweet. Mad coffee is located inside an office building. There is street parking out front. GPS will try and take you to the back parking lot. If you park there, you will have to walk around. The kindest friendliest staff works here. I ordered a boring Iced Americano and it was good, but not my favorite thing about this place. The cookies are bomb. Like call everyone you know, write it the sky delicious. I got my Peanut Butter Reese's cookie and practically inhaled it! I asked if they made them in house and one staff member said they make them in house at a sister restaurant in Huntington Beach and send them over fresh! I love the whole vibe of this place too. Disco ball and white string lights on the ceiling, light and bright atmosphere, and did I mention the friendly staff? All in all, can't wait to go back and take a friend. Can't believe it's taken me so long to try this coffee shop considering they have so many items that I love and seasonal items that are so fun! Parking is a bit tricky, they have a few spots in front, otherwise you must park in the lot across the street and get your ticket validated. Out of all the items I've tried, I would say the salted maple cinnamon roll is my favorite. Nothing beats a cream top for me! Ashley is so sweet and I have already been back multiple times to try various items. It's definitely more a grab and go place for me as it's surrounded by business complexes. read more

Mad Coffee in Irvine is definitely worth checking out. The breakfast burrito and the vanilla iced latte were both a solid 10/10--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want to start your day. The only thing that missed the mark was the freshly squeezed orange juice. It didn't taste the best, but it might've just been a bad batch of oranges. My main issue was with the customer service. When I mentioned the juice, the server told me the kitchen had tried it that morning and no one had complained. That response didn't really address the concern. They did switch it out for cranberry juice, so I appreciated that. Overall, great food and drinks, just wish the service handled feedback a bit better. read more

Mad Coffee is such a great spot! It's connected to a pizza shop and in a pretty walkable area of Santa Ana. Parking was a little confusing, so I parked in a free lot and walked over. However, I learned later that parking is available in the adjacent lot and the coffee shop validates it. The staff are friendly, and it's a nice place to people watch and get work done. It's the right balance of white noise coffee shop buzz to get work done or catch up with a friend. The Cairo latte is delicious with its original pistachio milk base, and it's not too sweet! It's a very relaxed atmosphere, and I'll definitely be coming in the future. This is a regular drink and it was a little bit pricier than I expected but it was a good drink. The employees were very kind and the store was very clean and peaceful. The surprising part is that it's 1/3 pizza restaurant, 1/3 coffee shop, and 1/3 brunch spot. When you walk in, folks are helpful in pointing you where to go for what. It was just a bit surprising, if you're just going off the Yelp/Maps, to be asked if you wanted to have a sit down meal. The place was well decorated, but lacked air circulation/was quite warm. The person at the register was very nice and helpful. There are some pastry options in the case. I went with a Guava Cheese Danish which was pretty tasty. I was mostly dissatisfied with my matcha. I only noticed after taking a sip after I had left, but it wasn't fully whisked/blended so there were still chunks of matcha powder. Overall, since it also wasn't sweetened (I knew it wouldn't be), it tasted pretty homemade. read more

Nice thicker consistency especially once you mix the cold foam and it for real tasted like the bread! Would come again to try other fun drinks. Service workers were so sweet! Stopped here on a Saturday to do some work for a few hours and check out the seasonal carrot cake latte which I also paired with a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was just okay. It was heated which was nice but it didn't have that yummy gooey center that I love, it was a little dry. The carrot cake latte was yummy for sure but didn't give me carrot cake vibes at all! It was spiced to be sure but didn't really have any carrot essence. I think they topped it with cream cheese cold foam which was a nice touch. I'm giving 4 stars because it was a great place to hunker down for a few hours. The WiFi was solid and the staff were super friendly. It had a good playlist going too and they validate parking for 24 hours. Even though I didn't love the food items I chose, I would come back to give them another try simply because the ambiance is so nice. read more

TEN OUT OF TEN!! I saw their birthday cake matcha on TikTok and wanted to come here to try it. Unfortunately, it was during their anniversary, so I ended up just getting a matcha latte instead. There were so many other options beyond what I ordered, and after my friends' drinks came out, I almost started to regret sticking to just a simple matcha. Fortunately, I didn't because it was SO SO GOOD. If you prefer a matcha that's less sweet and where the matcha flavor is actually present, this place is definitely for you. I also tried my friends' drinks, and the cream tops were sooo creamy and didn't have that artificial taste that many places do. They also have a seasonal menu with lots of unique options, but I'll come back for those another time.
