The variety of salads is great and you can do custom ones too! The set up is chipotle style and you would think it is for time efficiency but there is obviously some work on that. It seemed that the end stations hold up the line and it's rather slow. Forget a quick lunch if the line is long. The wrap was really good. The chipotle Caesar dressing delicious. The soups of that day were a list of 3. We picked the chicken one and the roasted pepper one, both delicious. The place is very loud. It's also self cleanup. Rather pricey for a self serve style but it's new and trendy, which makes sense why. The staff was very friendly. Don't go for a quiet sit down. I would go again for the food. They also have other locations.

Gotta honor one of our fave Colorado girls and order her namesake salad, The Molly Brown

Our food was good, but unremarkable. The drinks are where Mad Greens really shines. My Almond Joy latte was a perfect blend of coconut and chocolate, and my daughter raved about her Strawbery Cooler juice smoothie. The ordering system is a little weird- if you're familiar with The Mixx or Ingredient restaurants, Mad Greens runs the same way, which is to say it runs not like a well-oiled machine because nobody can figure out where to go to order which menu item. Really wish it was more centralized and streamlined. Really nice staff, and a sparsely decorated but good size outdoor seating area looking onto the Denver Art Museum. It was 80 degrees the day we were there- bliss.

A colleague bought lunch for me. I picked the Mad Caesar which is the house grilled chicken in a bed of romaine lettuce and tomatoes. Parmesan and house made croutons top this salad. The dressing I have is the Caesar of course. I like the dressing light because otherwise it feels like the salad is drowning in dressing and I am unable to finish it. I do not like salad leaves soaked and limp in dressing. A light crunch is preferable. My advice is dressing on the side or light dressing. If you're buying lunch for someone, dressing on the side is the way to go. That way they can eat it when they want. The Mad Caesar is my go to when I'm not interested in looking at the menu or I want something I know will be tasty. Not fancy and different, a solid choice. Can't go wrong.

Do you ever have those weeks where you are so busy you can't even find time to make it to the grocery store? I find myself having those weeks more often than most I imagine and so my solution for eating is very often a trip to the salad bar at Whole Foods. So, imagine my dismay when I went there to grab lunch yesterday and all the refrigeration was shut down for some sort of neighborhood noise ordinance testing/repair. Luckily, I had my trusty Yelp application on my trusty iPhone and found out that there was a Mad Greens down by the DAM. So, away I went. It was pretty dead when I went in, I was actually the only person ordering food. Then again it was 2:30 which is a late lunch hour for most. The two guys working were still super friendly and helpful while I chose to build my own salad. While I wasn't in charge of the tongs, eating at Mad Greens was pretty much just what I wanted in terms of adding a strange mixture to a bed of mixed greens. And boy, do they have a lot of choices, even one of my favorites - chickpeas. :) As far as price goes I found it comparable to buying the salad bar at Whole Foods, which isn't necessarily cheap, but I hear the upkeep on fresh veggies can be expensive so I'm not complaining.

I like everything about this place! Coffee shop area has outdoor tables overlooking the art museum, and is part of but separate from the salad line up, although when busy, diners can access the pleasant seating in the coffee area. The salads are fresh, and they have interesting sodas at their self service drink area of the restaurant and good iced tea. We arrived after 12 so there was a line up to choose your salad. The set up is like a Subway but with a big difference. The fresh, high quality ingredients for every kind of salad you can imagine are lined up before you. I started out with a Da Vinci salad, but added some feta because I love feta. You can mix ingredients, change the dressing and they toss the salad in front of you. Fortunately our friend recommended a small rather than large salad. The small is a full meal for one person, and they do not skimp on the ingredients. Calories are listed on the menu. Very tasty, healthy, and low calorie meal.

So do this my friends: take some extra calcium before coming here if you order the panini - your teeth will need the extra. Strength. That was the hardest bread and chicken I've ever had. At one point I thought I was eating a brick. Not literally but you get the picture. Do this: stay thirsty - they've got one of those secret levers on the fountain machine to get club soda. That alone is worth 1 star and the friendly girl that brought us our bricks for lunch gets the 2nd. Great work.

My sister was afraid of the sauces they offered for the wings, so I got it on the side, which may have taken away from the wings themselves. We were partial to the cauliflower wings though. The corn ribs are a must and only $5 for HH! Unfortunately, the Philly fell short to me. It tasted like refried bean to me and was crazy messy and fell apart. Then the food starts showing up and suddenly the whole table is passing plates around because everyone keeps saying "wait, try this." We ordered a bunch of things and the smoked carrots were probably the biggest surprise for me. I would absolutely go back just to eat those again. The masa birria, diver scallops, and grilled artichokes and asparagus were all great too. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and came with duck fat potatoes, which immediately puts me in a good mood. Dessert also fully delivered. The banana cream pie with black sesame whip was one of those desserts where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. It sits conveniently near the Convention Center, possesses a polished dining room, and harbors ambitions that deserve encouragement. On the Fourth of July, however, time itself wandered off to watch fireworks. Six coworkers and I arrived for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the back. The dining room was only about two-thirds full, which made the evening's upcoming mystery all the more impressive. That prompt seating, as it turned out, was the fastest thing that would happen to us all night. Our server greeted us, took drink orders, and brought out some warm Parker House rolls with Amish butter, alongside a bowl of French onion soup. This part was good. The rolls were soft; the soup was rich and comforting. Spirits were high. We ordered our entrees. Then the clocks stopped. Twenty minutes passed. Then forty. Then an hour. At first, we assumed our meals required extraordinary craftsmanship. Perhaps each potato was receiving a heartfelt, individual farewell before being mashed. Maybe the cows for our burgers were being transported from the farm where they source their meat in Wyoming fresh to order. But then we noticed something unsettling: nearly every table around us was waiting, too. Plates were strangely absent across the entire room. We had all been trapped inside an intermission with no second act. Our server, looking more exhausted with every trip from the kitchen, assured us our meals had "just been fired." I believed that he believed it. Ten more minutes drifted by. Our dinners finally appeared roughly ninety minutes after we had ordered. I felt bad for the man. He stayed friendly and professional while serving as the lightning rod for a kitchen catastrophe he had nothing to do with. Sometimes the person carrying the bad news is the one who deserves the most sympathy. The food, at least, tried its best. One of us couldn't stop talking about how excellent the pork chop was. Another declared the salmon outstanding. Three of us ordered the Brush Creek Wagyu burger. Mine arrived a perfect medium-rare. The other two, ordered medium, arrived practically mooing. But after waiting an hour and a half, nobody had the stomach to send them back into the void. They just ate their rare meat and kept quiet. To the restaurant's credit, our server chopped twenty-five percent off the bill without us having to ask. It was a decent, quiet gesture. It acknowledged that the evening had gone entirely off the rails. Corinne clearly has potential. The location is great, the space is nice, and when the food actually makes it to the table, it's mostly quite good. I suspect we simply wandered in on a spectacularly bad holiday evening. Even so, a ninety-minute wait and some undercooked burgers are hard to ignore. I hope our night was the exception, but I'm not entirely sure I'd gamble my evening to find out.

Service was very friendly and helpful, asking if I wanted to bundle the two empanadas I wanted with a sauce for $10, a deal I had not noticed. I got a mushroom empanada, a BBQ chicken empanada, and a side of chimichurri. I was told it would take about 10 minutes for my order, which I appreciated for two reasons: (1) it set my expectation properly and (2) it meant the empanadas would be freshly baked. My empanadas were ready on time and were excellent. They were crispier than other baked empanadas I've had and had great fillings. The chimichurri was one of the best I've had, packed with herbs and the right amount of acidity. I thought the size of the empanadas was reasonable, with two being enough for the light meal I wanted. There were different staff there the second time I visited, and the empanadas weren't cooked as well. The bottoms were a little soggy. The atmosphere is spare but clean, with seating only at counters at the windows. But they also had a nice outdoor patio and a water dispenser inside, which are nice features.

The sauce/dressing was scanty and barely tasted like anything -- I didn't taste peanuts really and definitely no hint of curry/spice like I expected. There was a section of sliced jalapeno but I didn't want to eat raw jalapeno with my salad, I wanted a zestier dressing. The "crispy" tofu was tofu that was completely fried so it had a texture like a crunchy zwiebach cracker/rusk -- I had been envisioning something with some softness and a chewy exterior. My beverage was a lavender Palmer that was a pint jar of lemonade with some lavender tea on top. For those two items it was $27. I have some oral allergy issues and after eating, I had a "burned" mouth feeling like I get from tahini, walnut or eggplant. I don't think any of these ingredients would have been in the salad, but I do not have an issue with peanuts (eat them all the time). I called to ask if the dressing had tahini in it and was told no, but it still concerned me.
