Ok is what I can mostly say about this place. A couple of friends of mine had came here a couple of times and expressed different types of service they received. The time I came with them our server looked like she didn't even want to be there and missed some details of our order that ended up being wrong. We had to ask for condiments that were given to us in such a small quantity, cups of water were super tiny, and the prices were too pricey for what I thought it was worth. We were seated right away, orders taken as soon as we were ready, and the items we ordered were served We ordered their Manhattan french toast and The Journey Pancake. While they are aesthetically pleasing, they both tasted mediocre yet super sweet. My sweet tooth was definitely happy but the sweetness level wasn't appropriate for brunch. Friend and I both had chilaquiles and were obsessed!! we came at around 12:45pm on a Tuesday. People were enjoying their meals but it wasn't crowded. our server was very polite and had no problems explaining to us questions from the menu. We got the mimosa flight (not pictured) which had a well-balanced alcohol to juice ratio. We both got chilaquiles, and they were so delicious! I really wanted to love this place but, I must be honest. I waited close to an hour to be seated for 2 people. The atmosphere is cool, they have great music and nice decor. We finally order and waited another 45 minutes for our food. I ordered the Birria Omelet. The eggs were cooked perfectly, I did have a good amount of Birria however, it lacked flavor. It definitely needed salt and the meat was a bit dry. The dish came with a side of pinto beans which were barely warm and some consome. My son ordered the "Journey" which were strawberry pancakes topped with a condensed milk situation and strawberry crunch. It looks cute but, I personally did not like them. They were too sweet for my palate however, my son actually enjoyed them. He also ordered an Horchata which was pretty much milk and cinnamon. I definitely did not get any authentic horchata flavor as in from the rice that is typically used to make it. Lastly, he also ordered a side of hash browns which were not crispy as you would expect, in fact, they were mushy and had NO flavor! Overall, I personally would not come back. Our waitress never circled back for refills or to check if our food was being enjoyed. This place is trendy, cute but, I'd rather have simple flavorful dishes in a regular setting. We hadn't heard about Madres Brunch, but the photos of the food did not deter us from trying this place! It is located on a small historic main street and the parking may be confusing. There is street parking, which I believe is about 1-2 hours of parking, or you can park behind the old movie theater where there is an ample amount. I do recommend you make reservations as this place does get packed and people are waiting a good amount of time for a table. This is not a place to finish your food and linger. A couple of things we tried were the coffee flight, birria benedict, and a few other choices pictured. The coffees were pretty good and, if you like sweet, then definitely get their marzipan flavor. That was great and I finished that too quickly (no refills of course). The food was delicious and all three of us finished our plates. It could've been because we were hungry, but still, we ate it and felt content. I definitely do recommend coming here and trying this place out. So glad I found this lovely brunch spot! Food is delicious and the service is a great pairing. I do recommend making a reservation or checking in through Yelp to reduce wait time! We were a party of eight walking in but they were quick to accommodate us and luckily didn't have to wait much since we arrived a little after opening. While we were seated we noticed how the place soon got busy quickly! We had the Nutella waffles and birria chilaquiles to share as well as a specialty mimosa flightIf you order the birria chilaquiles I would suggest ordering a side of consomé as the meat was a bit dry but still really good. Definitely did not expect full mimosa glasses, most places have smaller glasses for flights. Everyone else in our party really enjoyed their food and drinks. Madres Brunch has been all over my social media lately with it's colorful restaurant interior and over-the-top menu items, a perfect combination for foodie photo ops. So when my friend and I were trying to decide where to meet for brunch, I threw Madres out there as an option, only half-hoping she'd pick it - just half because I already knew the restaurant doesn't take reservations and the waittimes for their weekend brunch can get pretty long. Come day of, my friend and I were seated after a 45 minute wait. As for the service once we made it inside, well let's just say there is room for improvement. As friendly as our waitress was, she seemed incredibly overwhelmed. Even waiting to place our order took significantly longer than expected. And once we did finally order, the wait for our food to be brought out was nearly as long as the waitlist to get in. But slow service aside, the food itself was delish. I ordered the journey pancakes (strawberry shortcake) and a horchata latte. I can't handle sweets first thing in the morning anymore but I knew I wanted to indulge in their famous stack of pancakes, given how incredibly unique and delicious it looked in all the photos. If it's your first time to Madres Brunch, it's easy to overlook the restaurant and drive right past. When you're here, it has a small town feel to it, with a handful of small shops with tree lined streets. Street parking is hit and miss, but don't be discouraged if you can't find parking in front, as there is a public lot in the rear, accessible by the side street north of the restaurant. I believe reservations are preferred, though not required. When arriving, you would check in with the host in order to be seated inside. There are plenty of shaded benches out in front so that you can relax while you wait, so that's a big plus. The front and the inside leaves you with mixed feelings, though. There is nothing special about the front, nor the tables and chairs in the inside. The appeal lies in the backdrops on the wall, each adorned with the faux grass, and some are adorned furthermore with neon phrases. Flashy for social media. From what I understand, the menu at this location is similar to, but not the same as the location in Bellflower, meaning that you won't get the same experience depending on what you order. Service is very friendly, though not the fastest, as there are a lot of clientele revolving through the restaurant. Foodwise....honestly, I've had better elsewhere. While the food does have decent flavor, there's nothing mindblowing about the taste. The Madres Chilaquiles has a very strong spice kick to it, so if you're sensitive, I would avoid it altogether, or you'll be tearing up the entire time that you're eating. The highlight of the meal for us was probably The Journey, which consists of strawberry pancakes with strawberry flavored condensed milk. You have to be fast if you want to record the final touch on the pancakes at your table, as the servers are just trying to pump and dump. Even this dish though, was underwhelming, as it was overly sweet. I think I'd pass on a return trip...I had to take the rest of my Madres Chilaquiles home and my mouth was on fire later on too. read more

We finally made it here! I ordered the omelette with chilaquiles with red sauce and it was good. It's spicy so I probably should have gotten the green sauce as I have a low tolerance for spice. Nevertheless, I persisted. My boyfriend ordered the Divorciados and it was tasty. However, the portion for that plate was way too small; for a $19 plate, I was hoping for a lot more. As for my omelet, it was about average compared to most breakfast places. Business was slow for a Saturday morning so we had decent service.
