We came back after some time, and had a great experience again. I had the Pastor Omelette and it was delicious! We also had the toast sampler, which was good. This time we tried the strawberry pancakes. Very pink, but good. Service was great and the inside is just as cute as before.

Fun spot for brunch with beautiful dishes and drinks! I had: 1. Special coffee flight - pistachio latte is my favorite! 2. Orange juice 3. Madres creamy omelette 4. Surf and turf 5. The wilma - the show is so cool!

Cute brunch spot with plenty of flavor! I stopped by Madres Brunch in Whittier and had a really enjoyable brunch experience. The restaurant has a cute, vibey interior, and the dishes are definitely photo-worthy. We started with the rainbow pancakes, which came as a stack of five colorful pancakes. They were definitely fun to look at and made for a great start to the meal. The Madres chilaquiles came with juicy birria and a flavorful red sauce. The steak was also surprisingly tender, and I definitely recommend asking about their house-made salsas to add even more flavor. The birria Benedict was one of my favorites. It came with a side of consomé, and the combination of the juicy birria, runny eggs, and English muffin soaking up all that goodness worked really well together. The pastor omelette was another standout, with flavorful pastor and sweet pineapple that gave the dish a nice balance. Overall, Madres Brunch is a fun spot if you're looking for a brunch with flavorful Mexican-inspired dishes and a cute atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Whittier area!

I love this spot in uptown. The vibe is so cute and girlie. I love their food and their drinks are bomb. The mimosa flights are great! Today I tried to the pistachio latte (hot) based on Jazmine's recommendation and it was amazing! I will be back soon. The service here is always good but today's service was above and beyond (even for them). Jazmine was so great! So friendly and personable. I'll see you next time!

Delicious brunch spot with sooo many drink options. The mango michelada was perfectly flavored. Birria eggs Benedict gave the perfect yolk pop.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday around 12:20 PM. It was busy, but we got seated in about 20 minutes. The place is really cute and I loved the murals. It was definitely crowded and loud, but that didn't bother me. He ordered the Nutella French Toast and I got the Carbonara Chilaquiles. The portions were huge--honestly a little too huge for him. I kept stealing bites of the plantains, which were probably my favorite thing we had. The hash browns were really good too. The food took a little while to come out, and my chilaquiles were a bit cold when I got them. They still tasted good, but I think I would have enjoyed them more if they had been hot. Overall, it was okay. I think I expected to be more impressed than I was. I'd give it another try on a slower day and maybe order something different, but it wasn't a place that immediately made me want to come back. My boyfriend wasn't really a fan, though.

We were looking for a brunch place that was open after 2pm and this gem on a Sunday afternoon. We walked in and while it was kinda busy were helped soon. We ordered all kinds of food and everything we had was good. The restaurant is clean and has a cool vibe, not super Instagramable but not bad. We also got two margaritas they were good and strong! The food was the best part!

I don't know where the bad reviews came from because the service was fantastic. The manager was so attentive waiter was very good. They helped each other clear our table. The food came out really quickly and the food was delicious. I would definitely come here again. The only thing is the parking is very limited but the service 10 out of 10. Chilango slang for someone from Mexico City but it's also a great omelette with Chilaquiles. Pistachio latte and pancakes. Omelette was great And we came on a Sunday. It was rainy and it wasn't too busy, but they were not understaffed. I will support this local business in uptown Whittier again and again thank you very much for a wonderful brunch with my party of 9. They have lots of big tables and it's more spacious inside than you think so it looks bigger inside than the outside.

Delish food. American food, as well as, Mexican foods with a delightful fresh spin. Love their mimosa flights. Everything we've had here is do yum: green chilaquiles , breakfast sandwich, waffles with fresh fruit, Madres chilaquiles and other items. 10/10 food and drink experience Good for large parties, too.

I went to madres brunch in uptown Whittier couple times now. I enjoy the food I usually get the chilaquiles "the green ones are my favorite". Also tried the birria sandwich, parfait and pancakes. The coffee is a hit and miss I feel like I haven't found one that I really like. The hot chocolate is so good!! Location is not that big but they do have several tables. The only thing is that sometimes they do take a little long to take out the food but I understand they are busy for the most part.

Came to Madres Brunch in Whittier with my family after a friend highly recommended it, and I have to say -- they were absolutely right! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the great energy and positive vibes. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and just puts you in a good mood right away. The service was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. And the food? Excellent. My compliments to the chef! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive -- honestly, it made me want to order more than one plate because everything looked so good. If you're in the Whittier area, do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee you won't regret it. Highly recommended!

The girlies wanted brunch. I hadn't been to this spot since it had been changed from it's former ownership and I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! We each ordered our dishes - I got the chilaquiles which were delicious! We got our mimosa flights and had a great time! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we will be back soon!

The waitstaff were friendly. They provided condiments and additional plates when the food was brought to the table. The fish filet Benedict came with a side of potatoes and salad. The salad was fresh, but the potatoes were underwhelming. Although they were warm, they lacked crispiness. The hollandaise sauce was creamy, and the eggs were nicely poached. The ube French toast had a crispy, crunchy exterior from being deep fried, but it was a little too sweet. Since the ube filling itself is already quite sweet, I'd probably ask for the syrup on the side next time. The BBQ pork omelet also came with a side of potatoes and salad. The BBQ sauce was simply drizzled over the top, while the omelet itself was filled with spinach and mushrooms. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. The food was good, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it actually felt like a cool little local café. Now the whole place feels completely different. Did it get new owners or new management? Because walking in now has this weird family-owned liquor-store-with-a-coffee-machine vibe. Everyone seems new, and even the barista was sitting there eating behind the cashier. We ordered the Everything Croissant and the C&S Grilled Cheese, and both were honestly terrible. Absolutely no flavor. The Everything Croissant is supposed to have eggs, onion, bell pepper, cheese, tomato, house spread and avocado, but somehow the whole thing still tasted like nothing. The C&S Grilled Cheese was even more disappointing. Their menu specifically says it comes with soy chorizo, spinach, bacon, cheddar and spicy buffalo cheese. There was absolutely NO soy chorizo in ours. That used to be one of the things that gave the sandwich its flavor. Instead, what we got looked thrown together and tasted nothing like what we remembered. And several things we used to like are gone from the menu altogether.
