I love this spot in uptown. The vibe is so cute and girlie. I love their food and their drinks are bomb. The mimosa flights are great! Today I tried to the pistachio latte (hot) based on Jazmine's recommendation and it was amazing! I will be back soon. The service here is always good but today's service was above and beyond (even for them). Jazmine was so great! So friendly and personable. I'll see you next time!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday around 12:20 PM. It was busy, but we got seated in about 20 minutes. The place is really cute and I loved the murals. It was definitely crowded and loud, but that didn't bother me. He ordered the Nutella French Toast and I got the Carbonara Chilaquiles. The portions were huge--honestly a little too huge for him. I kept stealing bites of the plantains, which were probably my favorite thing we had. The hash browns were really good too. The food took a little while to come out, and my chilaquiles were a bit cold when I got them. They still tasted good, but I think I would have enjoyed them more if they had been hot. Overall, it was okay. I think I expected to be more impressed than I was. I'd give it another try on a slower day and maybe order something different, but it wasn't a place that immediately made me want to come back. My boyfriend wasn't really a fan, though.

We were looking for a brunch place that was open after 2pm and this gem on a Sunday afternoon. We walked in and while it was kinda busy were helped soon. We ordered all kinds of food and everything we had was good. The restaurant is clean and has a cool vibe, not super Instagramable but not bad. We also got two margaritas they were good and strong! The food was the best part!

Jazmine provided us amazing service on our morning visit for breakfast! She helped talk through the menu with our party of 3 and gave us recommendations catered to what we were in the mood for. Both full of humor and kindness, we were so glad to have her as our server. And don't get us started on the food! With such a vast selection of breakfast options, we were splendid to find something that everyone in our party could try. Absolutely loved all the savory flavors of the dishes we ordered and the eggs were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning for more grub!

They offer a variety of fun and creative brunch dishes, from flaming waffles to unique Mexican-inspired creations! They also have coffee flights and agua fresca flights, which make the brunch experience even more fun! This spot is definitely great for sharing dishes and hanging out with friends!

I went to madres brunch in uptown Whittier couple times now. I enjoy the food I usually get the chilaquiles "the green ones are my favorite". Also tried the birria sandwich, parfait and pancakes. The coffee is a hit and miss I feel like I haven't found one that I really like. The hot chocolate is so good!! Location is not that big but they do have several tables. The only thing is that sometimes they do take a little long to take out the food but I understand they are busy for the most part.

Delish food. American food, as well as, Mexican foods with a delightful fresh spin. Love their mimosa flights. Everything we've had here is do yum: green chilaquiles , breakfast sandwich, waffles with fresh fruit, Madres chilaquiles and other items. 10/10 food and drink experience Good for large parties, too.

Margarita flight at 9AM!! Also got the Churro French toast, chilaquiles, and the pork-rind sandwich. It is super colorful in here and positive uplifting energy as soon as you walk in the building! Great vibes here.

Came to Madres Brunch in Whittier with my family after a friend highly recommended it, and I have to say -- they were absolutely right! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the great energy and positive vibes. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and just puts you in a good mood right away. The service was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. And the food? Excellent. My compliments to the chef! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive -- honestly, it made me want to order more than one plate because everything looked so good. If you're in the Whittier area, do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee you won't regret it. Highly recommended!

The girlies wanted brunch. I hadn't been to this spot since it had been changed from it's former ownership and I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! We each ordered our dishes - I got the chilaquiles which were delicious! We got our mimosa flights and had a great time! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we will be back soon!

We had a great time. The restaurant is perfect for catching up over a meal and drink during the day. It was lively and busy but the staff were attentive and checked up on us often. We did feel like it was time to ago after eating, but it comes with the territory of a busy brunch place. The food was good here and the mimosas had nice and different flavors if you're feeling adventurous.

Some brunch spots are all hype, while others surprise you with a few standout dishes that make the visit worthwhile. A weekend brunch with friends brought me to Madre's Whittier, where the menu offered plenty of tempting options--and a few unexpected lessons about ordering seafood. I tried the Ensenada Omelet, loaded with shrimp, salmon, crab, and octopus. Now, I'm a seafood lover, but octopus and I aren't exactly close friends. I asked if it could be removed, but since the seafood mix is pre-made, the octopus had already RSVP'd to the party. The omelet was good, topped with a creamy sauce, but not something I'd order again. The crab appeared to be imitation crab, and while everything was prepared well, it just wasn't a standout for me. The real star? The strawberry pancakes. Delicious! Next time, I'd order those with a side of eggs and call it a win. I also sampled the chilaquiles, and now that's a dish I'd come back for. The Tiramisu Latte was another favorite--not overly sweet and packed with that classic tiramisu flavor I love. A special shoutout to our waitress, Annie, who was attentive, friendly, and made our brunch experience even better. My Verdict: Skip the Ensenada Omelet and build your brunch around the stars of the menu instead. The strawberry pancakes are the must-order item, the chilaquiles are a strong savory choice, and the Tiramisu Latte ties everything together. If you order wisely, Madre's delivers a brunch worth coming back for.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. Overall, nice local joint for a peaceful weekend or vacation breakfast. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Will be back sometime.

We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back.
