first time to Maggie and Macs over the weekend recently This is a great brunch place in the area. We couldn't figure out what to eat until we stumbled upon the menu and saw interesting items. We were seated at the top to people watch. The service was great, great recommendations for cocktails on a weekend The ambience was really cool. Also since it was a two Level restaurant.

Came for a weekday dinner date and it is beautiful inside. We got the french dip and the fish tacos. They have my favorite kind of fries, like they're battered and crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. The french dip was on a delicious sourdough bread with enough structure to hold a juicy sandwich, but not too much that it was hard to bite. The meat was tender and juicy with the perfect amount of cheese on top. The fish tacos surprised me. The slaw and pico were nice and fresh, the fish was hot and juicy, and the salsa has a nice kick to it. Very nice addition to this neighborhood!

Neighborhood pub food REALNESS! Sat at the bar and met all the folks who worked here...it was GREAT!! Great service. Delicious food at really reasonable prices. Pro tip - put the onion straws in your beef dip!!! Get a wine by the bottle. Big, light filled space. Come...bring a group!!

The Inner Sunset just got a good one. It's wonderful to see the old Social Kitchen space at 9th and Irving alive again after sitting empty since the pandemic, and the team at Maggie & Mac's has done a beautiful job with it. I had the French dip. The steak was incredibly tender, and the horseradish sauce on the side was a nice touch. My friends ordered the French onion soup, which looked amazing, and the fish tacos, which got high marks across the table. The service matched the food. The hostess, our server, and the general manager who stopped by to make sure everything was right all took great care of us. Prices are surprisingly reasonable too, especially with how expensive everything has gotten. This place is going straight into my regular rotation. On the next properly foggy Inner Sunset summer day, I'm making a beeline for that French onion soup. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Overall dining experience was expected. The Caesar Salad was pretty good but was heavy on croutons. The pizza selection was minimal but was pretty decent bar/pub pizza. The buffalo wings were sweeter than expected so we probably wouldn't order them again. However the fish taco were good and we would order again. Service was very friendly and welcoming and you can tell the staff is excited to be there. It was fun to sit upstairs where they have direct access to tvs for the sports bar feel but you can be removed from the bar scene. They also have a private room upstairs which would be nice for a more casual birthday meal or bigger family meal.

The atmosphere was good, the wait staff was decent. The front house operation could use some fine tuning and I also saw a few dogs in the restaurant which to some seem okay but I think of it as a cleanliness concern, as there was even a small dog sitting on a bar stool being fed by his owner sitting at the bar

The French dip was really tasty even without the dip. Dipping it made it too salty for me, good macaroni salad. The drink that I got was a little sour. The service is amazing. Both of the servers I met were friendly and nice. The place is beautiful and spacious. I got to experience climbing the golden gate themed stairs. I'll come back for the Goldilocks Salad soon

New pizza place in the inner sunset which truly fills a need. Pasquale's is classic, but ever since Villa Romana closed the area needed a change of pace. The layout and crisp paint job makes the space bright and open. You could tell everything is new. Staff was welcoming with a cute "please like us" vibe. We came in at 5 on a Friday with no wait, but a line did form to see the fresh place in the neighborhood. As for the food, it's exactly what was missing. I think for a group of four that two pizzas is the right number. We got the Hot One which was more than the typical safe "spicy". The meat had a good zing, but the red peppers were not dulled. Good for them. The Pig & Fig was a decent relief from the heat, yet it lacked the unique punch in flavor of the other pie. The onion strings are not reinventing something, just solidly meeting expectations. Price point was more than reasonable and atmosphere was upbeat with locals of all ages. Good luck to them.

Fun place, dined as a group of 4. The Manhattans were a miss but the food--classic pub grub--was on point. Service was okay. Bring some friends and enjoy the company.

I came here for lunch. I had the smash burger and it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My co worker had the French onion dip sandwich. She said it was also delicious but it could use some more meat. The food was definitely the highlight of the visit! The servicer were friendly, even the owner himself came to check on us. I'll definitely come back and try other things on the menu.

Always happy to support new businesses but even happier to know I will be back! The place is beautifully designed with the second level giving industrial Golden Gate Bridge vibes based on their staircase! Their pizza, meatloaf, potato bites, chicken tenders and peach salad made my family of 20 proud of my choice of venue! The staff, along with Scott, made us all feel full and grateful! Do give the place a try whether for a date night or for a big celebratory event!

Thanks for taking the time to reply, and I appreciate you reading my review early in the morning. I'd like to clarify a few points, as it seems my critique was taken as a personal attack rather than detailed feedback on a meal that cost nearly $70. Constructive Feedback vs. "Mocking": Reviews exist to explain why something worked or didn't work--not just to leave a binary thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Detailing why a French dip fell flat (unseasoned au jus, missing traditional condiments like horseradish, un-melted cheese) or why takeout fries turned soggy isn't mocking the staff. It's pointing out basic culinary execution. Standards vs. The Bear: I certainly don't expect Michelin-star chefs or Bobby Flay on the line for a neighborhood meal. However, when a sandwich is $22, a side of fries is $11, and canned mocktails are $12 each, expecting fundamental kitchen practices--like seasoning the broth or not trapping steam in a sealed container--isn't an unrealistic standard. It's simply matching the price point you've set. Speaking Up in the Moment: As I explicitly noted in my review, your hostess and bartender were wonderful. The front-of-house service was not the problem. Expecting a paying guest to act as on-the-spot quality assurance for the kitchen during their dinner isn't how dining out works--especially when the major issue with the soggy fries wasn't apparent until I unboxed them at home. Besides, if you truly welcome real-time feedback, you could easily step away from your laptop on a slow shift--like the one when I visited--and proactively ask your guests how everything is. Neighborhood Context: Mentioning other local spots like Gregoire isn't "platforming"; it's providing context in a city with one of the most competitive food scenes in the country. San Francisco diners have options, and standard comparisons are part of any honest review. I didn't write this review out of spite--I wrote it because the space has great potential and the front-of-house team is doing their job well, but the food and takeout execution fell short of the price tag. I left detailed feedback because I assumed an owner would want actionable insights to improve their product and service while they still can. I wish you and your team the best. If you ever decide to tweak the recipes or adjust the takeout packaging, the actionable feedback is right there in the review--free of charge.

Great new spot on 9th that finally took over the Social Kitchen & Brewery spot. Waited about 5 mins for a table on a Sat eve. The place is huge with different levels for seating. The food is hearty and good value. Get a mound of the onion strings and the Mom's Meatloaf, and you'll be done for the night. Service is friendly & attentive. Hope they do well!

The DJ upstairs was playing a great mix of Latin and hip-hop music, while downstairs had old-school reggaeton, which I absolutely loved. It was a little warm downstairs, so I decided to stay upstairs for most of the night. I also appreciated that there was seating available upstairs because the main floor was extremely packed. Overall, I was having a great time until it came time to order my second drink. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the bartender's name, but he was wearing glasses and had a sleeve tattoo on one arm. My first order was quick and easy, so I didn't think much of it. However, when I went back for a second drink, I ended up waiting about 15 minutes at the bar. What was frustrating was that the bartender clearly saw me waiting, yet repeatedly served men who walked up after me. Another woman who was also waiting noticed what was happening and actually spoke up, saying, "She's been waiting here first, and so have I," after he immediately was trying to serve the guy next to us. The bartender looked at her, dismissed the comment, and continued serving other men who had arrived after both of us. As a former bartender myself, I was taught to scan the bar and serve guests in the order they arrive whenever possible. The way the situation was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. What bothered me most wasn't the wait itself, it was feeling overlooked despite being visibly next in line. That said, I genuinely enjoyed everything else about Long Weekend. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy were great, and I don't plan on letting this one experience keep me from coming back. I'll definitely give it another shot. And the food made the experience even better! The menu is mostly small bites, so we ordered several dishes to share. We started with the classic ceviche, which was fresh, citrusy, and so good with the chips. We also had the al pastor tacos with pineapple, flavorful and a classic combination that worked perfectly. But the arepitas... OMG! Definitely my favorite. They come with three little arepas filled with shredded beef, and they were SO good. Between all the dishes, it was actually plenty of food for two people, and we left very satisfied. For drinks, we tried the guava and passion fruit mocktails, and both were refreshing and had really nice flavor. I've been to Cavana before, and I already thought it was a great place to stop for drinks or food before a concert at Chase Center or a Giants game. But this Sunday experience made me love it even more. It's also such a nice spot for a date night or just hanging out with friends. I don't know what the rest of their weekly schedule looks like, but this particular Sunday was a 10/10, salsa, great food, rooftop views, and a beautiful San Francisco sunset.
