Honestly, what inspired me to eat here was the "Back to the Future" movie in 1985(I think it was as 85?) starring Michael J Fox. There was a character named "Marty McFly". There was a scene in the movie where "Bif" (a bully, antagonist) grabs McFly by the shirt, then knocks on his head with his knuckles, saying: "Hello McFly!!Anbody home?" Lol. You can find it on you tube. During childhood, we'd goof around and emulate this particular scene for fun and laughs. Well......let's get to the nitty gritty.......Ordered the nachos, it was better than average. I ordered a bowl of chili, with real chunks of ground beef. Great chili. It's None of this canned chili stuff. Very cozy and soothing ambiance/decor.....well thought out.....subconsciously makes you miss the atmosphere.......so you'll definitely wanna go back. My FHTB (Future Husband to be) and I went to Maggie's @mmcflys and wondered why we haven't been back sooner. This place is truly a hidden gem! The menu is expansive, but somehow they master every dish wonderfully. This evening we had the APPS FAVORITE TOWER, BLUE CHEESE B.L.T BURGER & COCONUT SALMON and every single dish was prepared to perfection. David our server was friendly, accommodating and honest with answering our food questions. David also very kind with our food adjustments requirements. This location was also extremely clean and made sure to follow all pandemic requirements. We also requested to speak with the manager Whitney and she was extremely pleasant considering she thought we had a complaint. Terrible experience every time. Last time I got my app before our drinks. This time over 15 minutes and no server ever came over. Finally got server and put order in Then the server assured that they would discount check for our wait. Never got offered 2nd drink...had to send back veggie burger because it was completely mush.. They took off the veggie burger because we didn't want another one, I was finished with my lunch that we shared, however then the server brought it out anyway. They took off 1.90 for our wait time.Didn't even cover the cost of 1 soda. Come on, Maggie's, I've served and bartended in the past so I can be very understanding but your management is lacking and your servers need training. I won't be back! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Food is terrible and staff is rude! Went there for Mother's Day buffet which was overpriced for the small variety of terrible food they offered. We had a 1:00 pm reservation and weren't seated til 1:30, then we were rushed off our table less than an hour later..there were 9 of us! We were even approached twice to leave because they needed the table, even when we were already standing putting our coats on. We used to patronize Maggie's often but now my whole family has removed it from our places to go eat. So done with this place. read more

Maggy McFlies is okay. The burgers weren't amazing, and the spongebob shake was flat out gross. The fries I enjoyed, but the burger I had to pick at a little bit. It wasn't amazing speed cooking either. It took really long to get our food and beverages. Therefore three stars. read more

My wife and I met a few friends at Maggie Mcflys for dinner maybe about 2 weeks before they shut down for the corona virus pandemic. Let me tell you the food was FANTASTIC! We ordered the tex mex, calamari, and the artichoke dip as the app and a bottle of sauvignon blanc and it was phenomenal. Now moving on to our waitor, let me tell you he was a sweetheart. Our friends had alot of questions about the menu, I mean who wouldn't? The thing is like a book. ITS HUGE! He answered all their questions perfectly with no problems and even offered them a few recommendations. I was surprised how well he knew that huge menu. Sharp kid. He frequently came back to check on us to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. Than before he walked away he would flash his perfect smile at us. Very handsome kid must have been in his early 20s. I believe his name was Rick or Rich, Richard maybe. Anyways this place had the perfect ambiance and the food and service was amazing. Had Mothers Day dinner at Maggie's Mcflys. Absolutely the WORST!!! Small portions not cooked properly(twice ),rude waitress. Everything came out wrong. Seated by door that led to outside deck and slammed every five seconds. One order was the turkey burger. After 35 minute wait, was told no more turkey. Asked if beef would be alright , said "ok" and it arrived in about two minutes. So was obviously already cooked to send out. Had mayo and onion on it which was specifically asked to NOT be put on twice. Cuban sandwich was size of an app and looked like a dog chewed it. Came out a second time worst. Meat was all salt what little of it there was. Have always liked the place. No more!!! Regional manager was there but never came over. I had to seek her out. Called the corporate office and basically said (Sorry). Was charged $48 for 2 small glasses of wine, Heineken Light, onion ring app and a chicken app(4 pieces) $7.95 for that size. After calling when I got home to ask about my bill,said I will be refunded. We will see. This is the Brookfield location. read more

I went to dinner here with my friend and it was GREAT! We were seated quickly and our food came fast and was delicious! I got the orange chicken and my friend got a penne pasta dish with meatballs. The meatballs on my friend's dish were HUGE and she said were excellent. I would recommend both dishes that we got. The service was also very good, everyone was friendly and polite. Amazing food - always something for everyone with such a large menu. Great service from the server she was very sweet and I wish I remembered her name. Meals are a bit pricey but you are getting a great portion for what you pay for in the end it all works out. The dessert was great as well - the brownie sundae was my favorite! Just got back from going out to dinner with my mom here. We were seated right away. We sat up stairs which is pretty neat, there's a bunch of quirky things all over the walls. Our waiter came and took our order within five minutes of sitting down. We ordered and got our food withing 15 minutes. Overall I would say the service was great. Our server kept on coming back and checking on us to make sure everything was good. The manager even came around and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. I got the Greek sandwich with sweet potato fries which was served on Naan. It was really good. I loved the feta and artichokes, and the sweet potato fries were great. My mom got the rueben and she said it was the best reuben she's ever had. She said the meat was real quality corned beef and not too salty. I'm taking off one star for the noise. I think the music was a bit loud, next time I come I might come at lunch time so it's not so loud. Overall I would say it's a great place to come if you're looking for a cheaper place to eat at a sit down place with good food. read more

Went today with my son. Cucumber roll special was fishy and inedible. The server was nice but looked into it and just said "they said it is fresh". Thus shared my sons fries and pizza. Dim Sum Appetizer, Southern Country Fried Chicken Dinner Entree. Absolutely delicious! The Dim Sum was better than any stand alone Chinese food restaurant in the area, and the chicken was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce. read more

Worst food of the year for us. Chicken dishes pounded thin and deep fried to taste like shoeleather. Cajun cream sauce is just a ton of cayenne designed to burn but no flavor. Worst bartending I have ever seen. The place wasn't even busy and it was like everyone at the bar was an inconvenience. Not one person behind the bar was focused on the people sitting at the bar, they were just doing tasks and chores. Went there tonight for a night out with the family. Our waitress was very friendly, prompt, and checked on our table a good amount. We ordered the fried mac n cheese as an appetizer and it was great! For our entree's, we got the tacos (3 come in an order and you can pick and choose which types), nachos, and the kale and quinoa salad with the butternut squash soup. All came out delicious with great prices! Even though the menu is rather large, all the food tasted fresh and nicely prepared. We will definitely be back! read more

Becoming a family favorite. Huge contemporary menu full of comfort food, bold sandwiches, grill and steaks. Lively but not loud. Intimate but not dark. Private but not isolated. Parking is easy. Service is strong. Large bar has several TVs and a happy crowd. Prices are right for the quality and servicing sizes. Kitchen is prompt and consistent. Even make decent pizza! First and foremost never attend an Irish restraurant whose Resturant specailty is a Burrito. I have made two trips there and both were horrible. The Bang Bang shrimp the first time was horrid and not like any other Bang Bang shrimp meal i have ever had more like soup with shrimp and rice. My 2nd trip i ordered Bangers and Mash figured i would stick with something closer to an Irish theme though these were of an English idea. They smothered the mashed potatoes in onions and more of a beef gravy sauce,then the potatoes themselves were filled with green onions too boot and way overloaded that every bite was green onions. Worst meal i ever ate. The sausage was nothing more then sweet italian sausage bought from your local grocery store. We had to wait about 45 minutes to be served our meals and there were only 3 of us and the restaurant when we first walked in was rather empty. No reason for such delay. I witnessed an employee sitting in a booth not in uniform suddenly get up and start expediting food. I never saw here leave to wash her hands and believe she was just eating food at the neighboring booth. Though my meal was un-edible we were still charged for it and were told to let the waitress know next time and she would of gotten us another meal. Would anyone want to wait another 45 minutes while every one else was done with their meals to be served. I wouldnt and didnt either. Now a problem with her stating that to let her know would of been possible if she ever came over to check on us. we saw here one time about 5 minutes before the meal came out to let us know that it would still be a few more minutes. We were served then she disappeared. It took 10-15 minutes just to retreive our bill after that. I wouldnt suggest this place to my worst enemy. They are known for the drunken college party and karaoke nights and nothing more then that. DO NOT EAT THERE! Over priced $14 for bangers and mash and $13 for shepards pie is a joke. Dont give a place an Irish name then not even feature any Irish dish's as your specialty and cant master the ones that you have on the menu on top of it. Absurd! read more

this is from Dec 2012 when we went there for lunch. Haven't been there since and won't go back. This location's execution of the menu is not as nearly good as their Southbury and Middlebury sites. Our waitress forgot to put our order in and lied about it...we there 40 minutes without foot and while our waitress was talking to the bartender. Very unprofessional. Food not well-prepared...looks like they need new management who actually pays attention to what's going on. read more

I asked for fried eggs. They gave me scrambled. I asked for a side of extra crispy bacon. None came. Had to ask again for the bacon and got 2 chewy slabs. They also took my plate away to make the fried eggs but brought the bacon out 5 minutes before the food came. Went again today for lunch. Had the fish and chips. Fish was good, fried well, fish was tasty. Fries were good but nothing "special". Kids had grill cheese and cheeseburger. Both were happy. Son got the SpongeBob shake. It was really good. Other son got vanilla/orange soda. It too was good. Wife had gourmet grill cheese with prosciutto and truffle fries. They were both good. I've eaten at this restaurant at least a dozen times. Most recently their food was Ok, but the service was terribly slow. Almost 2 hours for a simple lunch (1 salad and 2 sandwiches). Also, Manager needs to step in when children (whom I usually adore) screaming at the top of their lungs becomes so overwhelming that the entire restaurant is disrupted, and people who walk in the front door turn around and leave. Something should be said (discreetly) to the parents. Bathrooms were the absolute worst I've ever seen with actual %&*^% smeared on the toilet seat. I have gone into Maggie's in the Brookfield location probably once or twice a year since it has opened. I would not return if it weren't for the fact that my friends sometimes frequent the place. I would absolutely go more often but every time I give it another chance I get disappointed. Yesterday was the first time I actually have ever had a good server although she was overwhelmed. Normally the staff is not attentive and the wait for drinks and meals is a little insane when it's not that busy. Yesterday the wait for food was as usual long. As I looked around the restaurant it was clear to me that she was the only waitress on. Not fair to her or the customers. I think the owner needs to figure out what he's doing. We just moved to the area and figured give this place a shot, I must say the menu is a bit overwhelming but the food was amazing! My son loved it and is raving about going back. We came with a semi-large group of people (approximately 12) without a reservation, for lunch around noon. We were seated quickly and efficiently. After an attempt to squeeze us into an area slightly too small we were able to pull an extra table over. Our waitress handled the large sized group well, however I fear the outcome would have been drastically different had we dined during a busier time. She took drink and food orders very efficiently, and was constantly checking in if we needed anything. However, she brought over the check without offering dessert, potentially missing out on further opportunities. (We ended up ordering two desserts) Food-wise, the menu offers a large selection for a variety of pallets. From picky eaters, to food adventurers, there's a good option for everyone. The quality of the food was average; definitely not to die for but we were satisfied. The free breadsticks were a nice surprise, but were bland at best. Overall our experience was good, and we may consider returning in the future. read more

They've changed their menu & portions are smaller. Food is becoming more franchise-y They've also changed policies to make it less friendly & no longer like a neighborhood spot. Coworkers & I would call in our order just prior to leaving work so we could enjoy our lunch hour with no stress. New policy requires a credit card to do this. I've never gone back, I think it's terrible especially considering this was something we did frequently. When I questioned it I was treated rudely by the manager.
