My husband and I went in for a date night. We sat at the bar, planning on ordering dinner and having some drinks. He ordered a beer, I ordered a Sangria. So this is the second time that My husband and I have gone here. The first time was for lunch. We were seated and then ignored for 20 minutes so we left. The host saw us the whole time and said nothing when we walked right past them to leave.(NOT a good thing). So figuring it was just a bad day for them we decided to go Saturday and sit outside. This time we were seated and greeted right away(seems promising). Our waitress was really sweet and was on top of all the tables(which is a good thing since she was serving and bussing all of them with no other help). I ordered the Luau salad and my husband ordered the fish and chips. My salad had no dressing and my husband's fish was sooooooo greasy it left a puddle on the plate. I really only ever go to Maggie's in Brookfield because of the PGA simulators that they have. So typically I'm there with some friends having a beer and playing golf. However, in the few times that I've dined there I've noticed that the menu is so massive that the quality of the food can't be and hasn't been that good in years. There are literally 50+ things to choose from as far as meals are concerned which can be a good think if you're adventurous. I've been going here for years. Back in the day, it could be 45 minutes to wait for a table. Not anymore, just walk in and we were seated. We haven't had any wait the last 4-5 times we've gone. Not sure why. The menu is extensive. Really something for everyone. The food is average, but the price is reasonable. This restaurant has the best waiters and waitresses around. We stopped coming years ago and then came often again over the past year since our 9 year old likes it. Every single time there is an issue. The staff and servers are great but our meals are screwed up EVERY TIME. We ask for sauce on side for burgers - hardly happens. We ask for well down fries - hardly happens. We have given them so many chances and am just really tired of getting a bill for $70 and walking away not eating. Servers apologize as do staff but continues to happen over and over. Been here many times & never had anything less than great until today. We walked into an empty bar but dirty, full of plates and glasses. The restaurant was barely full & the poor bartender was busting her butt while the rest of the staff slowly walked/stood around. The bar and bar tables were a disaster & it took us 20 minutes before even getting drinks. There was nobody at the host stand as a group formed at the door. The bartender made great drinks and took our order once she had the chance. Can't even blame her! But clearly management and the rest of the staff could care less about helping one another and the appearance of their restaurant. Every single time I have eaten at Maggie's has been awesome! Having worked next door at Auto Zone for over 2 years, Maggie's was easy and convenient for a bite to eat before, during or after work. Food was only OK and service was below normal. A family of 9 left a hockey game and were headed home. We called Maggie's from the car and they told us the wait was10 minutes. We told them no problem we were 15 minutes out and left our name. When we arrived we were told it was a 30 minute wait. Of the 9 of us 3 were kids. We would have gone somewhere else if we knew we had to wait 30 minutes. We waited anyway. The server took forever to get to our table. When she finally arrived she took our order. We didn't see the appetizer or our drinks for about 1/2 hour. The app would be graded a solid B. The food finally arrived about another 1/2 hour later. The kids were pretty antsy by that time. My daughters meal was wrong. It wasn't what she ordered. She wasn't going to send it back because she didn't want to wait another hour. The tortellini my granddaughter had was swimming in oil, of course she didn't eat it. My other granddaughter had mac and cheese, she didn't like it either. No one at the table said, wow this is really good food. The glasses of water and soda sat empty on the table with our waitress nowhere in site. We didn't see her until it was check time and even at that she didn't offer dessert. Not that we would have ordered any, because we wouldn't have. It was the worst $200 I have left on a meal in a long time. I would recommend that if you are in the area and you see the restaurant, do yourself a favor and keep on driving. read more

I'm always on the lookout for the most promising burger in town. After doing a bit of searching I came across a burger at Maggie McFly's made with "American Kobe". I've never had Japanese Kobe but I can only hope it's far, far superior to "American Kobe". As far as I could tell, there is no real difference, unless the regular ground beef here is particularly poor. Maybe it would have been better had it come out medium as I had ordered. I was not impressed. The burger came to $15+, although I did add bacon and cheddar (which tasted like American). Again, this is a rating on the Kobe Burger only, hopefully their other faire is more cost appropriate. read more

Honestly, what inspired me to eat here was the "Back to the Future" movie in 1985(I think it was as 85?) starring Michael J Fox. There was a character named "Marty McFly". There was a scene in the movie where "Bif" (a bully, antagonist) grabs McFly by the shirt, then knocks on his head with his knuckles, saying: "Hello McFly!!Anbody home?" Lol. You can find it on you tube. During childhood, we'd goof around and emulate this particular scene for fun and laughs. Well......let's get to the nitty gritty.......Ordered the nachos, it was better than average. I ordered a bowl of chili, with real chunks of ground beef. Great chili. It's None of this canned chili stuff. Very cozy and soothing ambiance/decor.....well thought out.....subconsciously makes you miss the atmosphere.......so you'll definitely wanna go back. My FHTB (Future Husband to be) and I went to Maggie's @mmcflys and wondered why we haven't been back sooner. This place is truly a hidden gem! The menu is expansive, but somehow they master every dish wonderfully. This evening we had the APPS FAVORITE TOWER, BLUE CHEESE B.L.T BURGER & COCONUT SALMON and every single dish was prepared to perfection. David our server was friendly, accommodating and honest with answering our food questions. David also very kind with our food adjustments requirements. This location was also extremely clean and made sure to follow all pandemic requirements. We also requested to speak with the manager Whitney and she was extremely pleasant considering she thought we had a complaint. Terrible experience every time. Last time I got my app before our drinks. This time over 15 minutes and no server ever came over. Finally got server and put order in Then the server assured that they would discount check for our wait. Never got offered 2nd drink...had to send back veggie burger because it was completely mush.. They took off the veggie burger because we didn't want another one, I was finished with my lunch that we shared, however then the server brought it out anyway. They took off 1.90 for our wait time.Didn't even cover the cost of 1 soda. Come on, Maggie's, I've served and bartended in the past so I can be very understanding but your management is lacking and your servers need training. I won't be back! read more

I just took my family there for dinner and I have to say it was one of the worse meals of my life. My wife order New England clam chowder and it was watered down and had a very bad taste. My daughter had the ribs and fries, the ribs were off almost like it was a low quality meat or old. The fires were even so bad, my daughter split them out. She said, Holy crap, I have never spit a fry out in my life, I love fries. I got the shellfish pot. Half the clams did not even open and it had such a god awful taste, I had to go get a donut afterwards to try and get the taste out. I used scope when I got home and an hour after the meal, I still have a foul taste in my mouth. Even the beer tasted shunked. I will never, ever, ever again will I go there. read more

On Friday March 22nd I went for lunch with 2 girlfriends to start our girls weekend. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the veggie pannini which looked delicious. I asked for no onions. Half way through the sandwich I noticed something in it that I thought was onion and pulled it out. It was rolled up and upon unwrapping it saw that it was a RAW CHICKEN TENDERLOIN. I was repulsed, along with my girlfriends and got the manager over. She of course was incredibly apologetic and they comped the meal, but RAW CHICKEN???? Needless to say I will never return. read more
