The food here is pretty good usually a favorite in the family. I would say it's 5 stars but the last couple times we've been here the food was only okay. The fries had barley any salt on it which isn't too big of a deal but what confuses me is the fact that they used to have salted fries that weren't so bland as they are now. The service is pretty good the food doesn't take to long to come out but in a big order they sometimes forget small things like dips or a side. We went to Maggie's when our kids got back from their as we never tried it before, and it was very disappointing. The service was really not that great, but let's start with the food. The menu is very large I ordered the mixed grill salad. The steak that was on there was inedible. So inedible we grout it home and the dogs didn't want it, they could not chew it so how was I supposed to chew it the fries that my wife and daughter they were cold and hard. Now you charge for substations well when yu get second rate food you are not going to order something else. This was our first time there and probably our last. I asked the waitress what kind of steak it was shrugged her shoulders. Well, you have to understand we eat out twice a week, many restaurants in Manchester have closed, u might want to get some training done wit your staff and retrain your cook. First time back here in a few years since living out of state. This was one of my favorite places to go for good variety of food and drinks so I was excited to come back and see any updates they made to the menu. I really love that they use local ingredients as much as possible and also tell you where each thing is from! My first drink was the Strawberry Basil Mule and my friend got the Hibiscus Lavender Cocktail. Both were so yummy! Their drink menu is endless and I love how many options there are to fit everyone's tastes. As always, the menu options were extensive and all looked delicious! We decided that we weren't super hungry so we split a few appetizers/ snacks. The fried pickles were so yummy and I highly recommend! The Roasted Brussel Sprouts were good however, I wished the Garlic Aioli was put on the side as a dipping sauce versus drizzled over into globs on top of the Sprouts. They were also a little too crunchy and wish they were a bit more tender but that may jay be my preference. The Buffalo Chicken Blasts (tiny little tenders) were full of flavor but they were served almost cold which made me a little sad. I still enjoyed snacking on everything but would love to see some focus on the little things that make dining here worthwhile. Our server was very friendly and provided great service! She was very attentive but seemed a little new so she wasn't as informed about the menu items. Met up with a few coworkers here for Sunday dinner. My coworker made a reservation for 8 people but when we walked in the hostess looked shocked to see so many people. Even so, she continued to seat us to a 6 person booth because that was the one she had reserved for us. We are a group of flexible nurses and decided to make the most of the situation and squeeze (we know what it's like to deal with fussy people). They have an ENORMOUS handmade veggie burger with a great selection of cheeses and the optional fresh pretzel roll. (Salty!!!) Sweet potato fries? No prob , and the waiter was spot on fast, accurate, and with a super friendly attitude. One of my partners had a ginormous mac and cheese burger which was so stuffed he needed a fork to assist. The menu offered 5 pages of wines and custom cocktails and a large beer draft list. Mmmm. Go Founders All Day IPA There is also pizza and pasta and *gluten free* buns for their burgers. My only experience with this restaurant was years ago in Danbury, which I found to be just okay. I was hoping to have a much different outlook and experience on this location but I feel the same way. This is definitely a good place for happy hour, a quick drink or some place to go to watch a game at the bar. As far as the food goes it could be better. I had their version of Shepard's Pie, and my boyfriend had the slow roasted beef. I found both to lack flavor. In my opinion they try to make classic favorites but fall short in the taste and flavor department. On a positive side, I do like how they support CT businesses by offering their products in the restaurant. And the staff is friendly and pleasant. As a first timer, I am always excited about trying something somewhere new. Entering the facility I was welcomed by an excited young professional hostess. She was very welcoming! We were seated in Andrew's area and as our waiter he was great. He took our order, corrected what was wrong while being pleasant the whole time. Now to the food. The menu was huge. A little over whelming for me, too many options which makes it difficult for me to decide on what I wanted. But I decided to get the crispy calamari and added the fried jalapenos with blue cheese. I also got the bacon cheeseburger sliders. Sliders were great. The bread was soft and inviting to my mouth. Great choice! The calamari was soft and not fresh at all. I hated to do it, but I asked Andrew to please take it back and give me a fresh plate. He did with no issues. The new plate came out, the calamari was fresh and crispy (like it should have been), the fried jalapeno was cold and soft. So I received fresh calamari, but old fried jalapenos. I was going to complain and return it but why! I would think it would have been done with out saying. With that being said, I tried this establishment and can't say I'll try it again. Not because of staffing they were friendly, but something as easy as a fresh appetizer order that should be cooked as requested was a little too difficult for them today. This review is in regards to last night service by the host staff and our waitress for my group that came out last night to celebrate my last day with them at Men's Wearhouse. I had gathered a large group together to have drinks and food for my last day. Though it was a sad day for me, it was a day to bring everyone out and have fun and we did just that. After trying to get a table at Chili's I had called ahead of time to talk to David to give Maggie's a heads up that I was going to be coming with a group of about 10-12 people for a late night happy hour. We wanted to sit together but also wanted to take advantage of the happy hour in the bar. The hostess had two solutions to that, either a large table out of the bar or two booths in the bar next to each other. The group wanted to take advantage of the late night happy hour and we were able to split our group up into two booths next to each other in the bar. We had pints of craft beers along with bar bites served by our amazing waitress Jen. She was able to take care of both tables and handle our rowdiness and even joined in on the jokes which made the night so much better, before wrapping it up with a group photo to commemorate the occasion. For a chain restaurant I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sorry sure why but I'm my mind I always associated this place with the Cheesecake Factory, but the truth is Maggie's is WAY better. I walked in to get some drinks at the bar and was blown away with all of the options and bar bites. I ordered a John Daly which was SO strong. For $9 it was well worth it in value. We also ordered an order of the eggplant fries. 10/10 would definitely recommend. They were beautifully crispy and came with a chunky flavorful sauce to dip it in. My only real frustration with this place was that we ordered the eggplant fries because they were supposed to be $4 on the bar bites menu but they gave us the dinner sized portion which was more expensive and not what we asked for. I ordered fish and chips, my husband the crab cake sandwich and my son the Baja burger. My son loved his, my husband loved his, he commented that it was the best one he's had in a long time (hence 3 stars not 1). My fish was awful. The breading was soft and flavorless. It was filled with air and had a tiny bit of fish inside. I removed it, thinking the fish would taste better then the bland breading.. it was stiff and flavorless, clearly no seasoning. I decided not to eat it and stick to fries.. the fries were soft and had no salt, which wouldn't be a problem if there was some at the table. We didn't see our waitress again for 20 minutes so we just had her bring us the check. The best part of my meal... was the water. I doubt we will be back as nothing was amazing tonight read more

Just ran into Maggie's for a quick beer for my husband and a Bloody Mary for myself. We were the first ones to sit at the bar and another young couple sat down shortly after. We placed our drink order and my husband got his tall Bud Light immediately. She went on to take the other couples drink order and gave them their drinks. Then she went on to take their food order never coming back to my husband or I with my drink or asking us for our food order. By the time she finally went to make my drink, my husband had finished his beer and we were annoyed with the lack of service. It was only us two couples and bartender could not prioritize.
