came on a Thursday afternoon looking for a cronut and an almond milk latte. The lady working checked to see if they had almond milk and her face alone while looking at it did not make the almond milk look appetizing, as she shook it around it looked like it was bad. Then she told me that they didn't have enough to make a latte so I said it's fine I don't need it...unfortunately they have a $5 minimum to use a card so I had to get two donuts. I got a regular cronut and then one with the chocolate glaze. I ate the chocolate glaze one and immediately felt so sick because this thing was wayyyyyy over sweet. This place has awesomely odd doughnuts. They have a croissant doughnut (with a hole even), bacon maple bar with 2 strips of bacon on top, dairy-free cream filled and other cool things like chocolate chip filled doughnuts and plenty of fruit and/ or cream filled croissants. Located down the street from my workplace, I have found a new gem to grab a quick breakfast. Gets crowded, the line is almost out the door. Jalapeno Ham & Cheese Croissants here are large and delicious! They can however heat it up a little bit more. If you love spicy and jalapenos, get this. They load it up with tons of jalapenos in the center. Donut holes are perfectly light and fluffy, as they should be. They also offer maple and bacon donuts, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and a variety of drinks that I will definitely come back to sample. Lots of parking in a busy plaza. read more

It was about 2:30pm when we went, and they had quite a few muffins still available: oat bran, fat-free raisin bran, fat-free apple bran, fat-free blueberry bran and fat -free cherry bran. I was so tempted to get one due to all the raving reviews on the fat-free muffins, but decided against it last minute. The man who helped us was very nice and he even hooked it up with a free crumb donut hole hehe. I popped one in my mouth as we walked out the door and was sadly disappointed. I was expecting the soft, moist, dense and chewy donut hole I had at work. This one was just like any regular ol' donut hole: dry and cakey. SAD. There were some tears shed. Same with the blueberry donut. I was expecting M & M quality blueberry donuts, but these were so cakey and didn't have the crispy outer shell M & M has. I do have to agree with Tina T. though that this is a good alternative for those who crave M & M blueberry donuts but live too far away! The maple log was the favorite of our donut run. I had a huge craving for a simple glazed donut. Thinking quickly, I remembered there was a small little donut shop behind the gas station near the freeway. And that is how I discovered Mags Donuts and Bakery. I was really surprised at how many baked goods they had. Along with donuts, they had a huge variety of muffins. Another thing that is awesome about this place, all of the staff are very polite and nice. While their donuts are more expensive ($8 a dozen compared to other place $6 a dozen), it is worth every penny. The man who works there is so kind. I came 10 minutes til closing and asked for their super famous maple bacon bar. There were none on display, so the guy went back into the kitchen and pulled some from the batch they had and heated them. He then gave me knives per my request. Generous, and super sweet customer service. And boy, the bars lived up to the hype. The bacon was savory without being too salty. The maple glaze was great, and the donut bar was fluffy and light. It's right near the gas station so it can be kind of a busy area but no problems with parking or anything. The pricing for the donut holes is pretty cheap too especially since they're so good!!! The only thing is that I think they might have mixed my blueberry donuts with chocolate ones once :/ which was sad because I don't like chocolate. But great donuts in that area. I was so excited to try this place after reading all the amazing reviews. I ordered 4 donuts - glazed twist, old fashioned, strawberry sprinkle, and jelly filled glazed. I tried the glazed twist first and was in shock by how soft and fluffy it was. When I tried to pick it up, it was coming apart because it was so soft (in the best way possible). It was the perfect donut. I couldn't wait to try the others. I had the strawberry sprinkle next and was severely disappointed. I didn't taste strawberry flavor and the dough had a strange taste to it. The old fashioned also had a weird taste and greasy feel in my mouth. The jelly filled was good and generously filled. I would probably return here just for the regular glazed donuts. The customer service wasn't great but I wasn't really expecting 5 star service from this place. I also went around 3pm so maybe I need to give this place a try when their donuts are fresh in the morning. read more

That is really odd for me to miss this place...since I pass by it all the time! I've probably come here a handful of times for their donuts and every time, I've been greeted with a smile and given an extra donut. Don't expect this every time though! Maybe it's just been the certain hours I've visited and got lucky. My friends and I joked about wanting to be regulars so we can get to know the owners of this place, there are always two ladies and one gentleman working there. They're always so cheerful and seem really genuine. I have read raving reviews about Mag's muffins, but I have yet to try those. I haven't had much luck with the coffee because I can't mix coffee to save my life. I'll try ordering flavored coffee when I'm ready to cram for midterms or finals. It's been the go to place when we have study groups or like last night, dessert because we were still hungry after our sushi run! The pricing for these lovely pastries vary, the food is fresh, the service is both fast and consistent. It is super clean at Mag's and I wouldn't rate it any lower. Stopped here on a Sunday morning (my usual stop before work is Bowl of Heaven, closed Sundays). Looked like a nice little donut shop with plenty of options. I picked a couple donuts but didn't have cash on me so I had to order more to reach the 5 dollar limit to use a card. I ordered a blueberry banana smoothie, which was alright, but way too sweet. Not sure if there were any fresh ingredients in it, most likely it was pre-packaged and loaded with added sugar, but it sufficed. Also got a blueberry cake donut, which was fine as well. The reason for my low rating is the second donut I purchased, which was not quite up to par. It looked like a normal maple glazed donut, but as soon as I grabbed it out of the bag it collapsed and felt moist, which immediately grossed me out. Upon further inspection I tore into it to find a wet eggy texture and smell. It seemed as though maybe an ingredient or two were missing from this batch? Something just wasn't quite right. I attempted to taste it and ended up spitting it out and trashing it. Normally I would have brought it back, but I had to get to work, and it was only worth about a dollar anyway. It was my first time going here but it had been recommended by alot of my friends. I was planning an event for my sorority and we made a donut wall, so I needed to buy enough to keep the wall filled for the night. I went in the day before the event to pre-order about 7 dozen. The woman who helped me, im assuming the owner, was very courteous and I explained that I needed a variety and they all needed to be circular.
