The service makes this place terrible. I've been here on three separate occasions and each time I have been more than disappointed in the service. The server told me and my friend to go to the bar for drinks while we were bowling because the server was busy. Not only was he lazy, but we had to approach him after not even being greeted in our lane. Add to that the fact that we wasted 10 minutes of our bowling time just to get drinks, and we were not satisfied. Bowling is always fun, but it's disappointing to know these people don't take pride in their workplace, and, therefore, make it look unappealing. On a more recent visit, my mom and I came to play pool. When we inquired if we could pay for additional playing time ahead of time (we were told it was 45 cents per minute after the first half hour regardless of how long we played, and we wanted to buy an additional half hour after our first 30 minutes because it would be cheaper in the long run), we were met with confused looks and a robotic statement that was both unhelpful and unrelated to our question. It's like these servers can't think for themselves... we also saw employees on their phones and meandering around like it was a bother for them to be at work. I understand this may not be their career (or dream) job, but it reflects poorly on the company and affects future business when customers don't enjoy their experiences. Management really needs to step up their training protocols and/or hire employees with more dignity. This place has potential to be great, but it's just not there at this time. read more

Took the family for bowling last Friday night @7pm. The gal suggested that I purchase the all day bowling bracelet instead of per lane because it's cheaper. The wait was about 1 hour or so. Got our lane and bowled. Ordered some food. Food arrived and we ate a bit and the lane got turned off because the limit was 1 hour for bowling. We only got to the 7th frame. Very disappointed that we could even finish a game. The very least, I was expecting to finish a whole game. We didn't want to wait another 2 hours for another lane because by the time we got a lane it would have been closing time. Wished they had clearly stated bowling was limited to 1 hour per lane. Will be looking for a new bowling alley. Not worth the money because you can't finish a game with 8 players. read more

This place is unreal. I went online to reserve a birthday party for my 8 year old son. I wanted to start at 5:30 with eating and then the cake. I then reserved the time to do the activities afterwards. I paid the deductible of $100. No one called me to make sure everything was setup or anything. I got a little nervous so called the Thursday before our Saturday bday party. I then got notified that someone from another Main Event changed my reservation all around and that I would have to do the activities first then eating at 6:30pm. I gave the approval to go ahead with everything. Once we got there, i signed in and they then proceeded to tell me that my schedule had changed again. I had to correct them and insist that we keep as is. The party planner took the kids to the first activity and then left. I had to take them to the next activity and then i had to continuously track her down to get drinks, figure out what the kids were doing. I then told her we needed to eat at 6:30. Kids sat down for 15 minutes at a table waiting on drinks and pizza. We didn't eat till 6:50pm and as it was, I had to get the drinks, hand out the pizza, ask for the cake, get napkins, clean up the pizza plates so the kids could eat the cake. The playing cards I paid for weren't all there. I had to ask for more. The bowling pin I paid extra for ($20) for the kids to sign, never got signed. I had to get the kids one by one to sign it during bowling. WTF??? This is her only job for the night is to focus on my son's birthday party. I then asked to order food other than the pizza and it came out wrong. i asked for two alcohol drinks and they sat at the bar and got watered down. I had to ask her to replace them after asking for her to go get them. I also paid extra for the tickets to be added to the birthday boy's card. That never happened. I had to ask the manager of the birthday party area to give them to him. (She was useless too) I can't count all the things that were so messed up and of course management never asked to make it right. After all of that, the final bill came and I tipped her 20%, which she was totally NOT worth, when I asked for a break down of the bill, I found out she added an additional 12% tip automatically. (9/11/2020) Wanted to have a date night shoot pool and eat. It was our first time there but when we got there there were no clean tables available and after standing around for 7 minutes with no one acknowledging us a server came to clean a table off for us it wasn't thoroughly cleaned/dried off. When I asked why the table was still wet I was told it was because of the sanitizer but sanitizer is not sticky. After being seated at an unclean table we sat around for 20-30 with numerous servers walking past us without acknowledging us or asking if anyone has taken our order. Looks like I'm piling on, but this place is slow. as. molasses. Went there on a totally dead Valentine's Day with my wife and daughter. Very dead night (as in there had to have been only six tables in the entire restaurant when we got there. I ordered wings and a burger, my wife ordered bacon cheeseburger sliders and my daughter ordered the kids sliders. My wings came out 30 minutes later and the rest of our order came out 10 minutes after that. Not reasonable given the thin crowd. The wings were very small and definitely not $10 worth of wings. The celery was bad, too (i.e., it had the brown/black lines on them; didn't touch them). When our entrees came out 10 minutes after the wings (40 minutes after we'd ordered), my wife's bacon cheeseburger sliders had no bacon on them, so she had to send those back. Her parmesan chips literally had a "crumble" on each chip, just enough to frustrate. When I bit into my burger, the bread was so dry and stale that it literally broke apart (at which point I realized that the volume of the $11 burger was 85% (a) bun, (b) lettuce and (c) a big, fat red onion and 15% meat. I'm glad I held the fried onions (which would've made it 90% non-patty. The fries were very good though. The server was apologetic about the slow service, my wife's no-bacon sliders and my dry, stale bread, so I appreciated that. My daughter often asks to go there, but I'm going to have to steer clear. I'd go back if I thought it was a "working out the kinks" issue, but something tells me that's not the case. On a slow night like tonight, I shouldn't have seen staff in the kitchen standing around, chatting it up, UNLESS my food was going to be delivered timely and accurately. That's not a "kink to work out." A kink to work out is like the manager and staff I saw collectively trying to figure out how to get the bowling computer working, which created a long line as there was only one person taking bowling/laser tag/rope climbing orders. On the other hand, the standing around in the kitchen, joking around and lollygagging, is poor training (or poor hiring practices) and a lack of understanding regarding basic customer service (i.e., as most would know not to be messing around in the kitchen while hungry people are LOOKING at you mess around, while waiting on their food). Not a kink. I was seriously considering having my softball team's end-of-season party there, but after tonight, we'll have to figure out something else. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I've never been here before and decided to try it out with a girlfriend. For starters we sat down at the bar and there was broken glass everywhere, nobody made an effort to clean it up. The bar was not crowded whatsoever, there were 2 bartenders and maybe 10 people sitting at the bar. We sat there for 20 minutes and nobody said a word to us, yet everyone around us was getting service. I was really impressed with Main Event when I first walked in. I really liked that there was 2 officers there. We got a lane fast. Our lane however had a bowling ball that was stuck. So we couldn't put the bumpers down. My sister was determined to get it down so she flagged someone down and they fixed it. But since we lost like 15 mins. Trying to figure it out they comped us 20 mins. So that was really nice of them. We also got drinks. I got a soda so free refills for me my sister got a pina colada she didn't really like it tho. The beer was like $6 something. We also got the chip trio thing, was decent amount. I had a good time. I can't complain. The staff was really nice and I liked that they had a variety of things to do. We had a party of 40+ with wrist bands that allow access to everything at Main Event. However, it was never communicated to us the times that certain activities close. It was a disappointing experience at Main Event. My husband and I went with a group of friends. First, ordering drinks at the bar was a nightmare. There was a long wait and no kind of service from the bartenders. They all looked like they hated their job, took 10+ minutes to order anything, and even longer to get a check! We ordered a plate of chicken tenders and friesamd it was overcooked. There were a lot of the games we wanted to play but multiple games were out of service. Toward the end of the night, a policeman aggressively targeted one of my friends to leave and after we asked why, he became more aggressive and told the whole group to leave. We had visit this place so many times because is close home. At the beginning it was expensive but worth it because then food was great and games were always full of tickets and prices. Now it is still expensive but the food is really bad that I got sick and the games have not many options to win anymore. We were playing in one of the machines and the lady came to take away as many coins as we had put in there so we had to begin again so is not easy and almost impossible to win anything, a completely a scam. read more

Went there just recently and had a much better experience. Staff was accommodating and so much easier to reserve a lane online. It's still a bit pricey to bowl at about $50 per hour for 3 people but not bad at all and worth it. Nice lanes and a lot to do, bowled, ate dinner, drinks, saw the Falcons lose to the Eagles and played pool. A lot of entertainment in just one place so definitely will return. You could also tell that management has invested in better staff and seasoned servers which is also plus. read more

This review is for the birthday parties they have for children. The summary is at the bottom. My daughter was invited to a party, and I was able to stay the entire 4 hours and observe. We were assigned an employee to help us with all the transitions and attend to the kids. The party started with bowling. The helper took quite some time to gather shoe sizes and go and get all the shoes. Probably 15 to 20 minutes. Once everyone had their shoes on the bowling begin. But my daughter never got to bowl,along with several of her friends, due to the fact that the ball return was malfunctioning and by the time they fixed it we were moving on to laser tag. We made our way to the laser tag area, and waited for probably 10 minutes outside the laser room. I'm not really sure what we were waiting on. The room was empty. The laser tag room was cool, and the kids had a lot of fun. The kids put on a jacket that you wear around your body and it lights up when you've been shot. The laser tag lasted about 15 maybe 20 minutes. Then it was time to move on to zip lining. My daughter skipped this as she is a bit afraid of heights. However, many of the kids did have a go. There are 1-2 employees up there to help them. This portion took quite some time, as you have to prepare all the girls, and also tether them all. Side note: if your child is afraid of obstacle courses in zip lines, I highly recommend Treetop Quest. You can start at level one, which means that all the obstacles are just barely above-ground. And you can walk with your child while they go through the course. Now it was time for the pizza. We made our way over to the table, and the gentleman assigned to help us slowly made his way around the table to take a drink orders. At this point it was well after lunch and the kids were starving. I really felt the pizza should have been somewhere in the middle of the events. However, I will say the kids really enjoyed the pizza. And it looked good (no gluten for me). Afterwards, we had the birthday cupcakes. At this point our time was actually up as we were's allotted three hours. But the transitioning took so long that we were running late. The birthday package includes loaded cards to go play games. We are saving ours for next time as I was just done with this place after four hours. Takeaway: the employees really need extra training as no one seems to know what's going on. Also, many of them appear to not want to be here. Which is mentioned in other reviews. This place has a ton of potential, but as you know, The employees can make or break a business. In this case, it was broken. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this place. The other reviewers who said the service is slow were not wrong. EVERYTHING at this place takes forever. A 10 min wait for a bowling lane they say? What they meant to say was an HOUR and 10 mins. A drink from the bar? That'll take 30 mins on a Saturday afternoon. On top of the ridiculously poor service, the prices are ridiculous too! It cost $96 for 1 bowling lane for two hours and 4 shoe rentals. And bring your ear plugs because this place is LOUD. Stopped in for lunch today. The service was ok, our bartender was not very friendly or attentive at all but did ask us once we finally received our food how it was. We waited 45 minutes for a sandwich and wings and once we received the food everything was stone cold. My husband sent his wings back and management was very attentive to rectify the issue. Very good job on their part, but unfortunately it was a little too late. Very poor customer service! Tried booking a birthday party for my husband (with guest coming from out of town) and was given the run around as to when I needed to book it and how. After following the instructions, to the best of my ability, I was informed by a manager that there was nothing they could do for me and that it was my fault for not booking sooner. I had tried to book sooner and was told by several people there that the time frame to book a bowling birthday party was 48 hrs in advance. While this seemed odd for any business - after being told this by more than two people I did just that. I called 48 hrs ahead of time just to be informed that all reservations were taken and that they had nothing to offer me. We will NOT being trying Main Even Suwanee again for our entertainment. Ok so this place just opened. But the service was horrible. I got up 2 times and had to ask for a refill while watching 3-5 folks all leaning over a podium just chatting away. We had to get up and get are own silverware. The food was not much better I had the ribs with a Dr Pepper BBQ sauce. The ribs were bone dry and tasted like they had been frozen. My wife had chicken fingers under the breeding we finally found the chicken that was cold as ice. Now the fun part we invested 40 dollars on 2 game cards so 80 we spent. Again this place is brand new we played 5 games and 2 of those didn't work. Deal or no deal and the giant connect four. At 1.75 per play we lost 7 bucks and didn't play a game. When trying to find someone to help we had to go back to the counter and wait in a long line just to inform them what happened. Anyway this was mine and my wife's experience also not one manager would even ask us how are experience was. Beautiful on the inside. Very well done. Excited about this facility- But the service was not there today. There needs to be someone at the front to help out- a concierge of sort. There were two women who were at the front- we talked to them and they said they did the restaurant. Okay. We continued on. There is no explanation as to what to do and the line we stood in took 30 minutes to get to the front to talk to an employee. Just to find out that they can't tell you when a lane will be open. Went on a Monday to do the all you can play deal, and we chose to do the attractions (laser tag, bowling, ropes course, pool tables). For a busy night, especially during the summer, they didn't appear to have enough staff, and the staff they did have seemed like they didn't want to be there. The pool tables don't have all the equipment out, and there was no staff in the area to ask where the balls are kept. The kids enjoyed the ropes course. However, the girl running the entrance and hooking up the harnesses seemed really ticked about her job and was rather brusque with guests. Then there was the bowling... put on a wait list even though there were visibly several open lanes. Once we got on a lane, the arm mechanism started to malfunction and we couldn't get anyone to respond to our help call. A waitress came over and she pressed the reset button, but it didn't really do much. After 20 minutes of continuous problems, I went and asked her to see if she could find someone to help. They got someone and we saw him climb down from the back and reset some pins in place and disappeared. The next 30 minutes were spent watching the arm as it kept clearing pins then trying to reset pins, but the pins would immediately fall down without us bowling. I had to go back to the front desk and demand that someone do something. A manager finally took the initiative and told his staff to move us to an open lane if ours was broken. We wasted almost an hour dealing with this and at $11/person plus shoe rental, we wasted our money as well. I am giving them 1 star for their lack of customer service. read more

We've been here several times since they opened and have had a birthday party for our son. Very disappointed in the customer service. It's consistently bad every time we go, even from management. And they will nickel and dime you to death. Their prices are ridiculous. We have eaten here twice and both times it's hard to track down a server in the dining room. It takes forever to get your food. And the food looks nothing like the pictures in the menu. For our son's birthday party we were promised several things that they did not deliver on. Our first time to Main Event, and we had a great time! It was quite busy since we went on a Saturday evening, but we didn't have to wait long for a bowling lane. The server immediately introduced herself and was prompt with delivering drinks and food considering she was serving all of the bowling lanes by herself. Main Event is clean and well maintained, and even though it was pretty busy, it never felt too crowded, and we were able to have a great time. The play pass is a great deal but keep in mind that even though bowling is included, shoes are not, so you are looking at $30 for 3 hours of fun. For people with multiple kids, that can add up very quickly. Service for food is not good right now and the food itself is not that great. Go for the games and the fun and eat elsewhere. I am optimistic that in time, this place will be great they are just having to work out the kinks. read more
