I found this place by accident about 4 years ago. I was by myself they sat me on the terrace overlooking the river the food was excellent. The view peaceful and relaxing. I was traveling home for a weeks vacation. Decided to stop and eat there for lunch. I asked for a table for one on the terrace. I was escorted to the terrace and the host wanted to seat me by a wall/window. I asked fir a table overlooking the river. She stayed it was a table for 4. She couldn't or wouldn't seat me there. So I thanked her and left. I felt like being single was a punishment. They weren't busy and it was about 12:30. Why I wasn't allowed to overlook the river for being by myself was crazy. Been many many times and have never been disappointed as this family run with true family pride in craftsmanship. Take your pick from Salmon, Tuna, Burgers, Salads, chicken wings and so much more all done correctly. Excellent service from our friendly waitress. Sports bar atmosphere. I started with thavee crab cake it was amazing and then on to the philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries for lunch was just as good. This used to be a place with wonderful hearty portions. Last couple of times we ate here we were left feeling less than pleased. New calamari on the menu was a tiny, greasy portion. Sent those back for a buffalo chicken wrap which came with just a couple of finely chopped pieces of chicken where in the past they were large chunks. Fish tacos were also very skimpy. Used to get three on the plate, now only two. No longer a favorite and would no longer recommend. read more

Looking for a reasonably priced price place for a simple dinner. This place is perfect. Patio seating was awesome with sounds of the River nearby. Bald middle aged bartender was a real jerk. Scoffed at me when I asked if one of the 8 TVs showing the Ohio State game could be turned to a basketball game. My family and I are visiting Edwards from FL. The town of Edwards is precious and the Main Street Grill looked as if it would please everyone. The waitress was beyond rude. I had asked for a virgin mojito and the waitress said that should be okay. 15 minutes later, she said they don't make mojitos and did not give me any other options. I am in my first trimester and I have only been able to eat spaghetti with tomato sauce. I knew it was a long shot, but I asked if they could make it. Her response, "why would you ask a question like that" and walked off. I was shocked by her rudeness. Our tables drinks were SO late and there were no apologies. Came to this place after a movie at the Riverwalk theater. The place was moderately busy but we managed to get a table. I had the ribs and homemade corn bread. The ribs were falling off the bones and the homemade cornbread was the perfect compliment. One must try this place. read more

Stopped in for lunch and had some decent food with TV's at every turn which make it nice for days you just want to watch football. The soups were really good and they make good french fries (the seasoned ones are better than the regular). We ordered the ribs which fell off the bone although I think since it was lunch time they may have been from the day before (they were not very hot). The one thing I'd advise against are the fish tacos which were scary to look at and impossible to eat. Definitely not fresh, with a dull chewy texture. Doughy tortillas. Yuck. They were very nice about taking them back and we had the ribs instead and left happy. read more

The food was ok. A bit over priced but it's close to the river so I figure it's paying for the view. I would of given more stars but the service was so completely terrible that it killed lunch and the view. First my wife's order was wrong, they forgot the salad she orderd and still charged us for it; never once came to check on us after we ordered or refilled our drinks. Dropped the food off and asked if there was anything else we needed, my wife reminded them of the missing salad and that my daughter would like ranch for her chicken strips; which took 20 mins for the ranch but no salad. To top everything off it took about 50 minutes for our food (2 burgers a club sandwich and chicken strips). On a side note we told our waitress not to worry about the salad and just take it off since we were done and that took 15 minutes to get the edited check. Because of that I just bumped this from 2 stars to 1 star. read more

Visited Main Street Grill for the second time. Ordered the special - posted on the board at the door- and a menu item. Neither item arrived as ordered. When the runner delivered the incorrect special we told him and his response was "I've worked here for a year an never heard of that". Had to send both items back. Asked for our waitress, who never came back to our table, EVER. Even to see if things were ok or to deliver the bill. Had to ask the ask the hostess the status of our meals. Very disappointed in the service and food. Will not go back. read more

Disappointed with the food. Black bean burger and shoestring fries. Pretty much frozen out of a bag and slapped on the grill for a couple minutes. Fries tasted like they were cooked in old or poor quality oil. The iced tea was at least day old. Ambiance OK for a locals sports bar with flat screens, etc., but not what I would have expected for the area. Service ok but not friendly by any means. Looked like a nice patio and view outback, but I rather have good, fresh food. read more

I had the Ribs last night for dinner last night. I have had them over the years since this location changed its name from the Cajun restaurant.Last night they were very slimy and fatty. Not sure what happened other than they must boil them now. I must say if you want better ribs in Edwards go to etown in the same center. So it's the off season and I'm in Edwards for a couple days. I find Main Street Grill. Heather is a great Bartender and the food is great. Had the mussels and a cocktail. Great price. And then I went to a nearby place had a drink and when I came back towards my hotel Heather let me in for a last call. Great service and food. I recommend a stop in!! read more

Good atmosphere, great service, bland food. If you're from anywhere that would make you expect a bit of spice in the jambalya, etouffe or red beans and rice, then I'd stay clear of the "Louisiana Specialties" on the menu. We had all 3 at our table and they were all really bland. But the cornbread, rolls and bread pudding were all excellent. So I'd go for a burger and dessert next time. read more

Nothing here was good. Bland gumbo with no chicken or okra. The house salad was bib lettuce full leafs (like you get to make a lettuce wrap) with some dried carrot shreds and really bad blue cheese dressing. I would bypass this establishment if you can. Stopped in for entree spinach salad which was supposed to have spicey walnuts and pear wedges. There were no walnuts and wedges were two in number and so thin they were translucent. And the salad was overly drenched in a wine vinaigrette. Service however was good but poor meal. read more

Every time I come out to Colorado I always try to make a stop here. Consistent family environment and good food. Now being back in town for the week I was so excited to come back and get my fix. But to my surprise my experience was not the same this time. The 4 of us took to our table and after about 15 minutes the waitress came by to take our drinks. I asked for a lemonade and when I finally got it, it seemed as if the tap was low. No big deal I thought, but wanted to let the waitress know. When I finally got her attention she could not have been ruder. It was almost as if it was my fault the lemonade was bad. Shortly after she came back to assure me I was right and wanted to get me something else since they were out. I had already asked for a water so I was content. Once we put our food orders in we waited for awhile. Finally the food was being served and I was ecstatic! But out of 4 people, my food never came. I waited and waited but nothing. I asked a different waitress to grab our waitress and no one came. The rest of the people I was with were finishing up. I never got my food and the waitress never came by. I tried to grab someone to figure out what was going on and every single person was ruder than the next, as if it was my fault the food never came. Finally the waitress came out to ask if we wanted the check and I told her I never got my food. She responded with "oops do you want me to make it for you to go?" At that point I just wanted to leave and never return. In all my years I have never been treated so poorly and on top of that I've never not received my food. Absolute awful service and a manager who could care less. I am a local and took some guests in there today and was completely snapped at and harassed by the waiter while the Manager looked on. Their food has always been average anyway but we ovelooked it due to the outdoor seating on the river. I own a house here that I rent out 3/4 of the year and I had this restaurant on the Top 10 list for my guests and renters to consider going to. Well no more. Not only did I take it off, I put DON'T go there unless desperate. Go to Juniper, Vino, E Town, French 75 or Hovey & Harrison across the street. They will gladly take care of you. read more

This could be the worst mountain restaurant experience I have ever had and I didn't even eat here. After an amazing walk on the river, my wife and asked for a table for two outside, were escorted and said it was ok to sit at a table that was about to be bussed. I was scolded by the waiter who pointed to inside the restaurant and said "get out of the table and go wait inside" with a stare that was more than angry - at which point I asked for the manager and he said he was too busy to meet with me. I was greeted by his daughter without an apology or concern about the service. It's clear this restaurant doesn't care about service. I am in love with their Chicken Fried Steak! Their sweet potato mash potato is something not to miss! I had bites of the red beans and rice as well as their version of jambalya penne pasta, would recommend all! Edwards, Colorado has an amazing variety of food! Absolutely will go again! read more
