If you are looking for a great burger, plenty of delicious breakfast/lunch choices, and excellent customer service, I'd love to recommend Main Street Grill. I've ordered the sausage biscuit to go while vending downtown at a holiday festival. My husband and I have had a few date night cheeseburgers. Every time we've visited, we have been genuinely greeted and served some of the best meals. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and neatly decorated. I also enjoy their cinnamon rolls for a nice sweet treat! My husband and I were looking for a place to eat lunch and bring our two dogs while visiting downtown Waynesville. After learning Main Street Grill was dog friendly, we decided to give the patio a try. We were greeted with the same kindness we are used to at the door and enjoyed a wonderful meal with our pups on the patio. The kind and knowledgeable staff checked in with us often, offering our pups a bowl of water and lots of attention. My husband and I had the smash burgers, absolutely delicious! I get the fried okra as a side (some of the best fried okra I've had). The girls had a sausage patty (which they thoroughly enjoyed). The patio is very nice and comfortable with a nice view of the mountains. The string lights would make a warm and inviting place for an evening meal. A perfect spot for a nice lunch with or without our furry friends! Main Street Grill is one of our most favorite spots in Waynesville, NC. We look forward to our next visit! read more

food is almost always good & most of it is way over priced! Best burgers anywhere & they are huge & make 2 meals at least so $18 for the mushroom burger is a fair deal. But $24 for fish & chips? Yeah, it's grouper instead of the usual cod & it is delish but a small portion for that price. Definitely not 2 meals. the real issue is one never knows when they'll be open. Hours are not consistent & not accurate on fb or their website & lately they've been closed for days & there's no way to know that without driving by. And even when they are open, there is only one waitress for the whole place & that means service is often slow & not particularly friendly. I really miss when this was mike's grill with the best burgers & fish & chips (huge portions of fresh cod) in WNC & still affordable! read more

Great spot in downtown Weaverville - we stopped by for a quick lunch, there's seating inside as well as outside (front and back). They have their menu as well as specials posted on the wall, with local draft beers. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had the fried chicken tender sandwich tossed in sauce. We both opted to pay the $2 to upgrade to the half house salads for our side which is worth it, they were big and had lots of fresh vegetables on them. This is one of those really unassuming places that are so easy to pass if you blink while driving by. Great little place with really good food. They have a basic menu with what I would consider elevated bar food with weekly specials. I've had burgers, salads, fish and wings and have never been disappointed. Always local beers and ciders on tap. There are maybe 6-8 tables plus bar inside with two more tables outside and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. Service good if sometimes a bit slow if they are busy but don't stop you from trying it out. This place is a real gem so try it when you're in weaverville. read more

It's a small place but has a very large talent for making spectacular food. The beef on the burger is top quality; they build on it with bacon, cheese, onion rings, and crisp fresh greens and tomatoes. The fish is fresh, and I know having owned a seafood market in Florida for 45 years. The breading is very very good. It's crisp and has a hint of beer in the mix....seasoned perfectly. The service was excellent. The art on the walls was cool. Their ambiance needs a bit of help. Paint the walls black. The grey doesn't go well with cooked meat. Hell yeah! I was craving a burger and my fiancé was craving fish and chips. We actually had visited here previously for just a quick beer but after viewing the menu, we knew we needed to give them a try. The breading on the fish and chips was PERFECT! Super crunchy but not greasy. They give you malt vinegar with their itty bitty shoe string fries which were also awesome. My burger was excellent and also came with those shoe string fries. It is a super tiny restaurant which is the only downside. It makes me a little claustrophobic in there. This was our favorite local joint, for good quality burgers, or fish-and-chips. But their recent price increases have them a lot less competitive for our food dollars. I understand, inflation affects everybody, but a 50% increase in menu items is excessive. My chicken sandwich that cost $11 last month, was $16tonight. Likewise for most other menu items. It was good, but not that good. My future visits will be less frequent... if they manage to survive their new pricing strategy. read more

This small, family-owned business cooks my go-to burger, big, juicy, flavorful! The only place in town I've had better burgers, was the Stack House in Mars Hill. The management and staff at the Stack House were mediocre at best, to positively rude during my three visits there, so they may now smooch my posterior. Main Street Grill, on the other hand, always strives for positive customer experiences, with a creative and somewhat ambitious menu. Besides the great burgers, the roasted brussell sprouts are stunningly good. Oooh, I might have to plan another trip to Weaverville, just thinking about it. I really love the deep-fried cod over a salad, brings back memories of dining at the Fall City Grille in Snoqualmie, Washington, where their signature fish dish was called, "Cod, this is Great." Great experience. The service from the greeter, the woman who took us to our seats, to our waiter was wonderful. They were all friendly and accommodating to us. We had a large table, four adults, two toddlers, one baby, and they gave us a table outside with great space and even privacy. We walked in on a Friday night and only waited about 15 minutes for a table. The food was wonderful we ordered burgers and salads and they were great. I've only had one Mushroom Swiss burger better than the one from Main Street grill and that was at the Venetian in Las Vegas. I've previously had their Buffalo burger and love the fact they dip the patty in the sauce rather than just using it as a spread. Their seafood is a bit pricey for what you get but it is ridiculously good so it's worth a little extra to get decent friend seafood in Weaverville. I've got carry out a couple times and it's always been generous portions and each order accurate. Though they stay pretty busy the staff has always been friendly on the phone and at pick up. The best burgers, fries, and pickles we've ever had. My husband and I stopped in on our last night in town. If we would've had it the first night of our trip, we would've returned every night. The fries were just perfect, even topped with flakey salt. The burger was a high quality ground beef as described on the menu. My husband had the bistro burger; amazing garlic jalapeño aioli and onion rings came on it. My burger was a main street with extra pickles on the side. I had a great experience at Main Street Grill! First off, if you're in Asheville, know that Weaverville is just 15 minutes away and is super cute and has some delicious restaurants. I always feel like I'm on vacation or something when I go to Weaverville because I spend so much darn time in Asheville. I had the special salad for dinner-fried shrimp tossed in buffalo sauce with bacon, tomato, onion, cucumber and shredded carrots. Served with dressing of choice. This salad was really delicious. The shrimp was fried to crispy perfection and the vegetables were all really fresh. My friend had the Philly cheese steak and sweet potato fries which I tried and were really good. Especially the sweet potato fries-they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and sweet. The restaurant is a small space with a few bar seats and like 7 tables. I walked in and was the only customer. The staff was friendly and even helped me on what to order. I was able to get a great beer while i waited. Everyone was wearing a mask, the counter was wiped as soon as i was done ordering and so were the pens for signatures.
