Been wanting to go to Maison Matho for the longest! I had the Pink Praline Latte Hot and it was amazing! I would come back for this alone. Also got Ham n Cheese croissant. The exterior was amazing with cheesy crunchy edges and buttery layers but the ham was a lil in dryer side. Overall 5/5, staff was so nice. Will try one of the signature baguette sandwiches next time. I would consider this place a stand, not a restaurant but nonetheless it was really good. Really chill vibe. Parking can be an issue but we got lucky and found a spot across the street. French themed with different pastries and sandwiches available. Coffee options available as well. Price was on the higher side for lunch but we also ordered the most expensive items from the menu. I had to try the omelette with trout roe and the pink praline late. Once we ordered at the window we found a spot under the shaded patio area they have right next to the stand. There are like 3 little round tables. Once our order was ready, they brought it to us. I really enjoyed the omelette. It was placed in a baguette, so it was technically a sandwich. The eggs were soft and the trout roe added a touch of saltiness. The coffee was equally tasty, not too sweet.

Fulfilling my own promise and coming back for their sandwiches! Not to miss the opportunity, we tried both the Jambon Beurre and Daniel's Favorite which was basically the Jambon one but with prosciutto instead of ham. Both were soooo good just like what everyone's been shouting, and it's indeed the butter which became their secret sauce! It's impressive how the simple meat, butter, cornichons combo could turn out that tasty. If we had to choose one, our pick was the prosciutto one just because it's more salty so it balanced the butter well. We pre-ordered to be secure that we're not spending long time waiting but the time we arrived on Sunday noon it's not like insanely busy. We waited a bit for the seat at the side patio, and could quickly get one. And ofc, we didn't skip their almond croissant!

Although I probably wont be back, as $22 per sandwich is a little steep for me, overall the food was really good. Parking is limited but my husband and I found a spot not terribly far and walked up to the super cute and clean window. We ordered the Omelette Sandwich and Daniel's Favorite. The Omelette Sandwich had a tad muted flavor and was dry, but was overall tasty; I just about destroyed the roof of my mouth with the bread. The eggs were really light and perfectly cooked though. My husbands sandwich was better, it had butter on it which greatly helped the dry factor and the salty prosciutto was perfection. Portions were okay for the price point. It came out in a reasonable amount of time considering it's made to order.

I don't really care for baguettes or sándwiches with a lot of meat- this has both and I'm surprisingly obsessed. The flavors were so good/ different than what I'm used to. ‍ Service was fast and friendly and they have a seating area partially outside on the left.

Heard a lot of great thing about this place and realized that I drove by this places countless times without realizing that it's a French shop, a hole in the wall type that is for to go only. First, parking was easy since I got street parking right next to the building but it can be snapped up once the lunch rush starts. Small menu but great choices. Easy order through the window with great, friendly service staff. Ordered 1/2 Daniel's favorite (Prosciutto di Parma, butter & cornichons on house baguette), Pork Rillette (Pork confit topped with fresh herbs and cornichons with toasted baguette), and London Fog. Took abit to get order since it's made to order and there are couple orders ahead of me. Once done, they bring it out in a to go bad to you. Price wise, it's pricey and true to the French for sure. It's definitely on the high end but didn't expected to be on this side on the neighborhood. The sandwich was great, great combo but the baguette was not toast or heat up so it be chewy. The butter is definitely bring the whole thing together and it a lot in the sandwich for sure, so glad that I when to the gym prior. I can felt my heartbeat and my fat appreciated a lot. The Pork Rillette, or pâté was great...on the light side and perfectly great on the toasted (crunchy) baguette. The 1st bite, you wonder what you're tasting but as you chew, you start tasting the pork, the herbs combined and the favor is getting to you as you eat it. The croissant was great as well, but I would preferred that it heat up abit so I can bite into the crust crunch croissant. The latte was fantastic, well make. Overall it was surprisingly great lunch but the prices got me off guard abit since all these is for $47 included tip. Definitely in the high end in the low end neighborhood.

My sandwich was great. Everything I expected. I am a huge baguette fan and this one I will be back for.

Good baguette, good butter, that's about it. I don't see what the hype is all about. About $30 for a full sandwich. I don't mind paying that kind of money for a good sandwich, but this ain't it. Great exercise for your jaw though. But I'm not coming back.

Drove by on my way home from the city and found no line and easy parking. Grabbed a jambon buerre and Daniel's favorite before hitting the traffic-laden freeway. I really adore simplicity and that's exactly what the jambon is. A great baguette, lots of flavorful French butter, shaved jambon and some cornichons. I do wish there was more cornichons to help offset the butter and ham, but that's a small quibble. It's a sandwich and a darned good one. I found the Daniel's Favorite with prosciutto too rich and salty for my liking. It was good, but I'm more a fan of less is more in this case.

I can see why this place has been featured on other's social media. The food may look simple but the care put into sandwiches and croissants are fantastic. I thought the butter would be heavy, the taste was more like a light cream cheese with a butter aftertaste. Because of the butters lightness I preferred the Dave's sandwich which had more flavor . Tho I was most impressed by the omelette sandwich. When I go back I will most likely have the omelette with prosciutto. The coffee was not too sweet, had a nice balance. There is high top seating next to order line. To the left were 4 small patio tables. Parking can get a little difficult. Overall experience was a 4,5

Located down Melrose, you will find a small stand tucked off to the side. Don't blink or you might miss it--I almost did. Once you find it, though, you'll be glad you did. The menu is distinctly French, featuring fun specialty drinks and thoughtfully crafted dishes. My friend and I ordered the Omelette with Trout Roe specialty sandwich ($27) and split half of the classic Jambon Beurre ($12 half / $23 full). I was very tempted to add a pastry, but I'm glad I didn't--this was more than enough food for two. Both sandwiches were delicious and served on their incredible house-made baguette. Honestly, I could eat the baguette alone and be happy. The omelette sandwich was quite messy, so grab plenty of napkins. The French omelette itself was perfectly cooked--light, fluffy, with a soft center. I might have preferred a roe with a bit more pop, but the trout roe worked fine. The Jambon Beurre was everything you would expect from this French classic: a thick slab of salty butter, a generous amount of ham, and tangy cornichons to finish it off. Next time, I may ask for extra cornichons. There is a small patio area with tables, plus a couple along the sidewalk. That said, the sandwiches hold up well for takeaway. Since everything appears to be made to order, expect a bit of a wait. All in all, the sandwiches were excellent, and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The quintessential Parisian sandwich Jambon Beurre

I was craving the quintessential French sandwich, jambon beurre, and decided to try Maison Matho. Service was quick. It's a casual setup where you order through a window. The baguette was crisp with a golden crust and a soft, chewy interior. The ham was thinly sliced, mild, and savory. They were generous with the butter, which was evenly spread and added a rich, creamy finish to every bite. There is a small covered seating area on the side of the building. Parking is street-only.

When you see French people in line, you know you're at the spot. I fell in love with the whole jambon beurre experience at La Petit Vendome in Paris so I'm so happy to have found this spot in LA.

The inside of Community Goods is pleasant but can feel a little chaotic navigating, as people are standing all over. Staff were nice but brisk. We received our drinks and food within 10 minutes. I got the matcha einspanner (not listed on the menu), my husband got a flat white, and we shared a slider. The matcha was excellent. The matcha was strong and the cream top was sweet but not overly so. I don't have any complaints about it but I would caveat that I would not wait in line for over 20 minutes if I was just getting a drink here. There are other places in Ktown where the matcha is just as good and the lines aren't as long. The breakfast sliders here were excellent. I don't eat breakfast food much, but I would consider coming back another time for these sliders. The standard is with scrambled eggs and cheese, but there are options to add on avocado and bacon. We added on avocado. They came with two sauces, one of which was very spicy and a little sweet. This sauce paired excellently with the slider. This is definitely a place worth trying at least once, but I don't think I'll come back unless the hype dies down.
