Service was excellent. Very crowded before the game so, it did have the first come first serve get a table where you can. Very sporty and casual. Good was decent. Fries are extra with sandwiches so be prepared. Parking around is kind of inconvenient as well as expensive before games. I would come back here again before a game.

    Bavarian pretzel

Nice bar for foods/drinks by the Bucks stadium. The pretzel was massive - easily feed a group of 4-5 and was crispy on the outside and light on the inside. Seemed freshly made.

A pretty straightforward sports bar with a good beer selection and a limited food menu. My friend and I stopped here after flying into town and needing to grab a bit before hanger set it. We immediately ordered some cold Spotted Cows, cheese curbs, sweet potato tots and chicken tenders. Great bar fair - especially the cheese curds. Service was fantastic - they checked-in without rushing us.

I was downtown for a Bucks game and had plenty of time for dinner. None of my bookmarks stood out (other than the fabulous San Giorgio that I went to a week prior), so I hit up an old spot I apparently haven't been to since 2015: Major Goolsby's. I ordered BBQ wings, mozzarella wraps, and a Major double cheeseburger. I wasn't sure I would get the wings before I arrived, but ended up getting them on impulse. Unfortunately, I don't think I would get them again. They were decently size, but $16 for an order of eight is steep. Three of the four drums had broken bones, so I had to eat those extra carefully, and the wings were HEAVY on the sauce. The BBQ was ok, but too much by the end. I recommend having the sauce on the side and using as much or little as you prefer. The mozzarella wraps are from a frozen bag and not homemade. Still good and worth getting, but not unique. As I mentioned in my review from 2015, the Major (double) cheeseburger is larger than burgers from other places around downtown, but unlike in 2015, I thought the burger was bland. I didn't notice a hint of seasoning and the cheese wasn't large enough to cover the patties, so some bites were just plain, bland burger. I've had worse burgers, but I've also had way better burgers. I got down here around 4:15pm and the place was half full, mostly due to the opening round of the NCAA tournament being on each of their large number of TVs. By the time I was done with dinner around 5:30pm the place looked full. I don't know how busy they get on game days when their isn't a TV spectical like the NCAA tournament drawing out extra customers, so you may be fine if you arrive closer to 5:30pm for a 7pm weekday Bucks tipoff.

Stopped in for a bite before catching the Bucks game. Had a single cheeseburger and an order of fries. Washed it down with a nice cold beer. No complaints! We just missed the rush so it was packed like it normally is. Food was great, our server was super attentive and nice!

For whatever reason I've always been a fan of hitting up Major Goolsby's when I go to the State Fair. Up until a few years ago the Fair is where I'd get my burger fix on. I guess I graduated to actually going to the restaurant now and again as well. The location is perfect if you are going to a nearby game or show at one of multiple venues within walking distance. The prices are typical of the area. The restaurant is large and can accommodate groups of people. The burgers are pretty good size for the price and have decent flavor. Definitely not fine dining, but a solid sports bar atmosphere.

Brats and beer. Major bacon and Cheeseburger. Wings. The ranch is amazing!! I love this place. Heck yes to the G's!

I loved the concept of District Fore, it was like Topgolf meets arcade meets backyard cookout. They offered many different games, such as a golf simulator, darts, and more. They usually only allow customers to rent out a game room in hour-long increments, but we were able to pay for a half hour of darts because we only had that much time before we had to leave for our event. I really appreciated the hospitality from all the staff during my visit to District Fore! We didn't eat dinner at District Fore, so I only got to try the cheese curds. They were so buttery and crispy, and the cheese pulls rivaled those of the Chili's mozzarella sticks! They were also much bigger in size than other cheese curds I have had during my time in Milwaukee. One order of the cheese curds appetizer was the perfect size to share between the four of us. I would love to see a District Fore Social open in my hometown, because I would definitely love to go back!

I surprisingly don't have many options in my "MKE - Fish Fry" collection that are near downtown, but Swinging Door Exchange was one of them. I was pressed for time, so I placed a to go order rather than dining in. I got the combo fish fry (two pieces of cod, two pieces of perch, and three fried shrimp) with potato pancakes. I was also very easily talked into the half rack rib appetizer. The ribs were good, even though I prefer sauce that's more sweet and smokey. Their sauce was on the tangy side with a tease of spice that really only became noticeable when the majority of the half rack was gone. If I were in the mood for ribs as my main meal, I'd consider getting theirs as an entree. The two potato pancakes weren't homemade; instead, they were premade hash brown patties that some other restaurants also serve with their fish frys. These were perfectly acceptable in lieu of homemade pancakes. The cod tasted great, but the breading didn't hold up very well. Either the fish itself was too wet or the two block walk back to my car allowed for condensation to wreck it or possibly both. The perch was not yellow lake perch but probably something like pike perch. Even though both kinds of fish and the shrimp were all good sized portions, $29 feels like a lot. I wouldn't say no to it, though, if I were dining in next time and avoid the extra cost of their takeout fee. Shout-out to the bartenders working that night. The bar area was absolutely packed, but both of the ones I talked to about placing my order were friendly and helpful even with being super busy.

We just wanted a drink and a quick bite to eat and being during a baseball game, lots of places in the area were busy. There was a good crowd there watching the game as well. It's an interesting setup, reminds me almost of a living room (with dining tables) and then the small bar area is to the side. To order food, you do it through two wall kiosks which I like because you can look at options and not feel rushed unless there's a line. Outside they have tables and a tv as well. I choose a veggie sandwich which had a good kick to it! The smaller size was good enough for me. It was a bit confusing how to get your food, from what we understood, you have to go through a door to get to the kitchen window (bathrooms are that way too) but no one calls your order number or anything. I'd suggest an improvement on that way you know your food is ready or maybe we missed something. Overall, I would return and would like to try other items on the menu!

You do have to place your food order at the bar, which is kind of a downer. It isn't a traditional restaurant but more of a bar that serves food. The fries were awesome and plentiful. You can get a dusting of flavor on your fries and I got lemon pepper on mine. My only "complaint" for the burger is the brioche style bun is a bit overpowering and too much bread for the burger. I ended up just eating the patties, but this is my personal opinion.
