My wife and I haven't tried Makenna Koffee before, and now that we have one in Santa Clarita we wanted to check it out. The interior design was really nice and definitely fit the coffee bar theme. The staff were very friendly and patient, especially with the long line out the door. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but it's definitely good for people who like lots of options. I got the Raging Bull Red Bull Iced, 32 oz drink. My wife got the Honey Lavender Latte. They don't currently have Oat Milk, which will hopefully be added eventually. Overall, it was really good. Stopped during our morning walk. They have an extensive menu. It can get overwhelming. Baristas were all friendly and accommodating. They have a great vibe inside. They even have great seating outside to just chill while you finish your drink. The coffee is delicious. This is going to be a good stop during our morning walks. The matcha is good, the egg sandwich is ok I guess. Service not so good. I was standing for more than 5 minutes before someone asked me for my order. Literally no one said hi or we will be with you. Mind you there were a lot of staff working, I was so excited to try this place for the first time. But the service from the staff left a sour taste, the place is small and cute The outdoor sitting is great. I will give it another try. I went in here Sunday morning to give them a try since I've heard such great things about Makenna Coffee. I ordered The Ben with oat milk. Great flavors! It's definitely on the sweet side. But that was definitely up my alley. Customer service was great. Since they are new and I'm sure they're still figuring out their groove, be prepared to wait a bit. They are busy. And of course, you also have to contend with the new business/SCV hype that happens when we get a new business opening. The store itself is so cute. It definitely makes me want to go back to Hawaii. Their coffee is definitely top notch and I'll be back for sure. Maybe when it's calmed down a bit. But I definitely recommend them! read more

Santa Clarita mediocrity at its finest. Not only is the coffee subpar, burnt and a complete let down. You will also be forced to wait a very long time. With a staff of at least 6 and no line...your wait time will be 15 min!!!!! lol And don't worry about buying their croissants. Dry, hard, and made by a very lazy baker with no proper training. Just go get a McMuffin. read more

Makenna's actual coffee is decent, but they put so much ice in the drinks that you end up getting more ice than coffee--it feels like you're not getting your money's worth. Despite having a large number of employees working, the service is consistently slow, regardless of how busy it is. There also seems to be a lack of professionalism in how some staff present themselves; for example, several female employees wear very revealing shorts and are often adjusting their clothing while preparing food and drinks, which doesn't inspire much confidence in the cleanliness or professionalism of the environment. Order accuracy is another ongoing issue--my drinks or food have been wrong more than once. The whole operation feels very disorganized. Most of the employees appear very young, and it's unclear who, if anyone, is in charge. If there is a manager on site, it would be helpful if they wore a name tag or something to make themselves identifiable. There are a few key areas that could be improved to help this place run more smoothly and professionally. read more

12pm on a Saturday morning. Line was out the door and then some. Waited 20min so I would def order ahead on their website. Sell merch inside. Vibe is upbeat, would be nicer if not crowded. I ordered a Maui iced coffee with their Maui milk which is a milk-based "secret blend." Coffee was $7 for 32 oz. Drink was balanced. Tasted a bit of coconut. The coffee is decent, but the overall environment is off putting. The music is too loud sure, I can deal with that, but the baristas/employees are the problem. Every single person working there acts like they don't want to be in the building. No one is welcoming, they all look bored out of their minds and have no customer service skills. My last encounter will be my example. I placed my order and the guy taking my order had to repeatedly ask me to say it again. He got my name, and my friend's name incorrect. I asked him what flavor the glaze for the donut in the display was flavored, and he couldn't comprehend what I was asking. He then asked someone else and she seemed bothered to even be stopped and questioned! She took a guess and rolled her eyes. I just can't get myself to return to this place. read more

I love this place! I tried to stop drinking Red Bull but I'll come in here every once in a while to get a flavored one for a quick treat. The coffee is also amazing. All the flavors are great but the beans are amazing alone or lightly sweetened imo and I love some sweets. Everyone is always super nice and. O matter how busy it is you won't wait more than 15min. Sundays are kinda crazy but during the weeks it's nice to sit outside with a laptop and work. read more

If you like hot Matcha Latte, Makenna's makes a very good one that you can request less sugar if desired. So good! Today I ordered my matcha with macadamia "milk." Reminds me of our vacation in Japan. The hubby likes Butter Beer which is too sweet for me. They have lots of lattes, iced, and slushy coffee and non-coffee drinks. They should honestly just turn off the mobile if the workers aren't gonna pay attention to them, because why did I order a coffee at 2:50pm and it wasn't ready till I had already waited 15 minutes asked about my order and they were like oh yeah we're gonna make it right now. Two weeks in since they're opening, they have been super busy from opening to closing. Friendly staff, and insane amount of choices! Had an amazing system going, so they are efficient! I had ordered a mobile order and it said it would be ready at a certain time but I had to go up after 15 minutes of the time promised to ask for it. Still waited another 8 minutes after asking for three drinks. Girls were just talking to themselves three of them not making any drinks. I wish i could give this place zero stars. I placed a mobile order and I walk in and see that the baristas are back there chatting with each other, laughing, mean while I've been waiting 45 mins for a drink. The place is also so incredibly small, that there's no where to wait where you aren't in the way when the place gets busy. When I finally got my order I noticed a hair STUCK underneath the lid and in the whipped cream. I used to love this place but honestly they lost me as a customer today. This is my favorite coffee shop in SCV. The Ben, (hot or iced), and their Honey Bee Latte, (iced) are my favorites. Just keep in mind they do get busy during their morning hours. So either order ahead online, or just be patient and wait. The coffee is worth it for me! read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt this visit was worth mentioning. I placed a mobile order at this coffee shop, but when I arrived, only one of my drinks was ready. I assumed the other might've been taken by mistake, so I let the staff know -- they made me a new one, but unfortunately, it wasn't what I originally ordered. On top of that, I had also ordered a coffee cake, but the cashier short guy black hair didn't ask about it or clarify anything with me. I found the interaction a bit uncomfortable because the cashier came off as slightly rude or dismissive, like they weren't really interested in helping me. Great coffee, but the morning wait times and prices were too much for me. Again, great drinks, and some fun ones, but I can't pay Beverly Hills prices in SCV. All of this said, staff is kind and helpful. Yet, you might need more of them to clean the dining area as it's been fairly filthy the last two times I've been. Went to try this spot for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The atmosphere is amazing, staff were extremely friendly. Great service! I can't have coffee anymore but we got a coffee for our car saleswoman and she loves it. Did have their pastries & delicious!! Yes they are busy but totally worth it. I never do this sort of thing...but I never saw this many people working @Makenna today and doing nothing. We came in and there was no line, the male cashier promptly took our order no problem there. However we ordered two drinks, one 16oz shock wave and a 12 oz nutty Irish man, or otherwise two SMALL drinks. The shock wave came out quick however we waited a considerable amount of time for the nutty Irishman even though they were three girls on drinks...THREE...and they also forgot our Kona cloud on the nutty. I came here randomly to find a breakfast sandwich place and saw Makenna Koffee in June and wanted to try it out. I was so impressed that I am back today. The Oat cream matcha is creamy, delicious and has a nice yet light flavor that makes you want to come back for more (as I did today). Today, I also purchased the honey bee latte, and it is smooth, rich and sweet with a nice coffee taste that makes your taste buds sing. i have been coming here for yearsss. The white couches on the patio are bit crusty, definitely need a scrubbing. the only trash can was the one by the front door, just saying you got to walk a minute to throw that bad boy away. Prime hour, i guess, is thursday at 10 am; twas packed! The 1 bathroom for an entire coffee house....classic. Brings me back to the good old days where you "just gotta hold it." Also, props to management for getting good looking folks behind the counter. They really did bust some work out today in all fairness. got the maui chill, it was divine, just gotta say im not too much of a fan for the cup of sugar on the bottom of my small plastic cup. The conversations in there are definitely santa clarita. Where you ask someone how the trip was of how the test studying went, or the mechanics inability to fix your problem, so the typical response of hearing that is "good" or "bad" followed by a vague statement such as "and the next was our hotel we stayed at." ... such verbiage and lack of vocabulary can only rush you from simply asking more questions if so inclined. I think the prices were a bit much, but average to pretty much everywhere else in california. typical $5 for 3 sips of coffee. Idk, perhaps its "good" just because it is Starbucks's Los Angeles born Hawaiian sister. Would love some macroon additions added to the baked sections. maybe some loyalty points. perhaps the coat hangars somewhere. definitely coming back to this iconic symbolism of santa clarita. read more

Soft, squishy, exactly how she likes it. She looked at me and said, "Dad, how come you haven't brought me here before?" I told her that sometimes, for great things, you have to wait in life. We also grabbed the nectar of the gods (Diet Coke) and an apple juice. Everything was packaged neatly, easy to grab and go, and the whole experience felt effortless and the people there are wicked nice! Hank's is officially in our rotation now.

I could easily drink the whole thing in 3 gulps. My partner got the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. He's gotten this before, and has not stopped talking about it since. He was even telling me yesterday how he was super excited to go to Los Coffeeholics tomorrow to get his Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. I came and ordered the ice cream here twice and both times was less than appealing. A customer should not feel ashamed when ordering and receiving an order, this pressed juicery made me feel out of place. It didn't feel right, the energy, the quality and quantity of what I ordered was less than the usual. For $8 I could have went to yogurtland instead and got quadruple the portions for a slightly less tasty dessert that is also healthy. The bottles for gut and well being are quite good. I enjoyed the gut health drinks and medium to large sized bottles for well being. Inside it is crammed and the ambiance was claustrophobic in my opinion especially with a line out the door. Whether it's average or below it, it seems every time I walk in, the energy is low. I've been here at least 4 times and sorry to say, I might not come back to this location. I used to be obsessed with this place and their coffee. However, I've noticed lately that the drinks are so inconsistent. I order the same thing every time... Sometimes I can tell the extra espresso (that I pay for) has been added, and other times it's a dead giveaway that it has not. I also get my lattes half sweet since their standard drinks are a sugar overload to me -- sometimes they will listen and others not. When they actually follow directions, they're great, but the last few times I have mobile ordered for pick up, I've been so let down. Other friends of mine have said the same and cut them out so I know I'm not crazy!! I'm not a complainer at all but said something last time and nothing has changed. Read the label, make the drink properly, and you'd still be at the top of people's list (even with your crazy lines). read more

They just seemed to be chatting or staring at each other, not paying attention to customers. The lack of service made me feel unwelcome, so I ended up walking out and heading to Starbucks instead. I don't think it's appropriate to have your work shirts barely covering your bodies and everyone else has a normal work shirt on but u cut your shirt to make it look like a bra is inappropriate they have a dress code and work shirt for a reason. it's not for u to cut it and have your bra showing because your shirts is cut so high up. read more
