I have been here a few times for a gel pedicure and natural nail manicure. Overall the services have been fine but the manicure only lasts about 3 days before the polish chips and cracks. Because of this I thought I would try a gel manicure. The pics are attached of what they look after 1 week and I am so disappointed . They didn't look great when they were finished, the polish were very thick and now there is no shine left, and they are lifting and the grow out looks terrible. The pedicure is fine and not wearing like the manicure at all

Wonderful nails by Minh! He did an awesome job on my nails and I'm so grateful for them. I received a lot of compliments from my nails. The quality looks and feels good. The nails didn't break easily. Minh is highly skilled in designing and is always learning new designs everytime. Feel free to show him the design you'd like. He was also friendly and I enjoyed my experience. I also got the pedicure, which I also recommend. Its probably the best foot massage Ive ever gotten for a pedi! I highly recommend their services and would come back!

I love Malibu nails! Minh is the best and always matches my picture ideas perfectly. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. They are great with walk ins but I always recommend making an appointment! The best part is all the options you can choose from, it makes the experience that much better. Fairly priced as well. I called this morning to asked if I can get a gel manicure and she said not until the next day which is my bday and will be out of town, but they still squeeze me in. I didn't wait when I got there, they took my temperature and Tim sat me on the chair. I'm was embarrassed because my nails are ugly, I feel so bad for him because I haven't had a manicure in awhile and he was so patient with me and took his time (not rushing) to fix my nails. If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter got a gift card to this place for her bday. She waited for a special day to use it. That's the great thing about gift cards. They do not expire. So she was excited to use her gift. Except we were told that the place changed owners and they won't take gift cards! We actually feel that this isn't even allowed. But anyway we had to pay for her to get her nails done and two actually fell off! Terrible place. We will never go back there again for sure. We are also inquiring with the BBB about if not accepting gift cards is even legal. read more

Great service, great gel color selection! This is one of the most peaceful nail salons I've been to. Many places choose obnoxious music or have loud customers, but this place is very relaxing and the staff is very friendly. I have very thin nails and the nail technician did such a great job being sensitive to that and working with my preferences. Thank you guys!! read more

The WOSRT manicure place I have EVER been to! I went in month ago to get a mani pedi and tried to pay with my gift card. They told me no one knows how to charge a gift card so they made me charge everything to my credit card. I'm annoyed, but do it anyway because I had a friend that I had to meet and I didn't have time to argue. Months later, I go in ready to get rid of this gift card, and never come back. But before they start painting, they demand that I pay beforehand! (This is the only place I've gone to over the last 9 years, and I've always paid after my service was finished.) I asked her why and she said so I don't mess up my nails. Which is ridiculous since I have to get into my wallet to tip them afterward anyway. AND everyone else in the salon was paying after their service like normal I finally give her my gift card to charge. I don't have the energy to argue with her in front of other customers. When asked if I wanted a flower by Marie, I said yes. She then paints two giant snowflakes on my toes without checking if that idea would be okay. I feel taken advantage of at this place. I will never be back, nor will my mom. They lost 2 very long term and loyal customers. read more

I just moved to the area and this place was recommended by a friend. I called and scheduled an appointment for 3 people. I showed up and found out that I had scheduled the wrong service!! Instead of turning me away, they did everything to remedy it and gave us the best experience. Larry, Tim, Ben and Peter took care of us and they all did amazing jobs. I've been going to Malibu Nails for a few years now, and I stand by this place as being the best nail salon I've ever been to. The staff here are so welcoming and every time I get my nails done, they come out so beautifully regardless of the nail tech who does them. Nathan did my manicure in the picture below. I showed him a reference picture, and he was able to recreate it perfectly. He made my day because after successfully recreating each evil eye design on my nails, he said "AH! Amazing!" We were definitely able to share a good laugh about the whole thing. The prices here are affordable and the service is top notch. I highly recommend! read more

I came her a while back and my service was awesome!! A girl named Hannah took care of my gel nails as if she took care of her own mother!!!! I just came back to this company and I was very disappointed with my service. When I was finished with my services , pedicure and gel nails I was charged $61.00, no tip., tip was 10.00 so I wonder who can afford $71.00 every 2 weeks to have a nail appointment? Maybe I'm cheap and not use to Santa Clarita prices but my services and nails look like poop. As I left I asked owner if he was the new owner and he politely said YES! News flash, ppl have no jobs and trying to have a relaxing day and you ruined it! My rant for the day! read more

I was going to the same nail tech for many years but he moved away so I decided to try somewhere else and I'm so glad I did. Jeanny is my favorite nail tech that I've ever had and I would recommend her to anyone that's looking to have cute nails, she enjoys her job and it shows in her work. Pros: relatively cheap ($24 for gel mani), taken right away as a walk-in, Nancy was great about painting all the way up to cuticles and made sure to do enough coats of polish to make it looked fully covered (it took 4 coats with the light color I chose!) Cons: Nancy appeared to be the manager, and fielded at least 8 calls during my manicure, and also got up four times to ring up other customers. It took nearly an hour to finish the manicure, most places take 30 mins for my short nails. (She did do two extra coats of polish tho!) The same Justin Timberlake song played on repeat for the entire hour... JT is good and all, but at least change songs? BIGGEST CON: Two of my nails chipped already (photo below) and I got them done this morning. I've never experienced this before. I am leaving for vacation, so cannot go get it fixed. Bummer. read more

I honestly would give no stars if I could. This is the second time I've gone to this nail salon. The first time the guy painted me gels as if they were already grown out. When I asked if he would paint up to my cuticle he refused to speak to me and continued painting. I decided to give them another try today.... maybe it was a fluke last time. NOPE! Went in and asked to get a gel manicure to replace the color on my acrylics. (I had just paid $60 to get these acrylics put on last week and just wanted a color change). They completely ruined my nails! We ended up taking them off because I don't have multiple hours to wait for them to remove what they damaged and redo them.... not that they even offered to fix them! Needless to say. I spent over an hour just to have them ruin my nails. No apologies. No discount. No customer service. They tried to BLAME ME saying that I didn't tell them I had acrylics!!! I will NEVER go to this nail salon again and warn anyone else from going there too. There are plenty of nail salons that have great customer service and in this area. I'm so disappointed!!! read more

Got dip gel with tips. Short. 6 days later, one nail lifted while the others were catching my hair at the cuticle line. I went in and with a little attitude, they fixed the lifted one and smoothed out cuticle line on others. Not a great repair-not filed evenly or smoothly but whatever. Next day, another nail lifted. I'm not doing anything crazy with sports or water... this should not happen after 1 week! Went in to have them removed. I'm done at this point with this poorly done set. They charged me for the removal. No apologies for the trouble. I even tipped and didn't get a thank you. I won't be back. There are way too many salons here in SCV to deal with poorly done nails and sub adequate service. Changing to 1 star because the removal was not done completely. After charging me, and the poor customer service, they actually left some of the dip material on my nails to apparently pick off on my own. Terrible service and reading other reviews, I now see others had the same problem with nails lifting and receiving an attitude and poor customer service when you ask them about it. Looks like the positive reviews are for pedicures. Beware if you are considering anything beyond a pedicure. read more

First time ever coming to Malibu nail. Service was terrible the people don't speak English. My person did a horrible job at polishing my hand and toes. When my person tried putting on my sandal he mess up my color and he half ass fix it then after I said are you leaving it like that he then removed all nail polish then still looks horrible. I will never come back nor would I ever recommend for anyone to come here!!! THEY'RE OVERPRICED... and they charge for everything they shouldn't charge for nail polish removal. read more

Customer service is horrible. I've been there a handful of times and have never been impressed. I always feel like they are overbooked and rushing around. Today did it for me. Had an appt and came in and no one says a word to me. Not a word. So I make eye contact with someone doing a manicure and say "I have an appt for a pedicure". She says NOTHING. Not "it will be a few minutes, pick out a color, etc". NOTHING. And there are 4 other people waiting in chairs! So I picked out a color and stood at the counter and no one acknowledged me at all so I left. They will never have my business. read more

Horrible experience just to start off. I went in there about an hour before they were about to close to get a manicure. They we're pretty empty so I was able to just walk in and pick out a color. Overall, the manicure wasn't that bad; except for a really painful rubbing of my hands where the manicurist kept on pushing his thumbs into a bone on my hand. Hard to describe but extremely painful. Good polish and the rest of the shenanigans, but when it was almost over; the man, who I could barely understand due to his very think accent, told me to come in earlier next time for a pedicure. Not like it was any of his business about how my toes were considering I had just got them done the week before. As we were about done, he was the last one there and all of the other employs had left. He then told me that it was $16 when they advertise their manicure to be $12, I didn't want to argue with it since I was also in a hurry to leave. He then takes my $20 dollar bill and plays around with the cash register, he then ASKS me how much of a tip I would like to give him. I have never ever had someone ask me that, I was astonished. He then says that he cannot figure out the cash register and says he doesn't know what to do. I told him to keep my $20 dollars and I walked out. I do not ever plan on going back to that nail salon considering that was that most I've ever paid for a manicure before. I do highly recommend NY nail salon in the LA Fitness shopping center, they are very good and very well priced. read more

Stopped in unexpectedly on a Tuesday afternoon about 3ish. Got right in for 2 pedicures cost $23/each. Their pedicures are better than many $50+ pedicures I've paid for. My friend & had a pedicure w/massage chair. Each foot was quicky gone over for cuticle treatment. They went back over any trouble areas pointed out without attitude. Then cuticle solution was applied a 2nd time as each toe nail was carefully gone thru with tools. Then they applied foot scrub, used special scrubber to remove dry skin from heels. Feet rinsed & warmed oil w/lotion was applied as calves + feet were massaged. (Massage was rushed & lame) A single hot towel was placed on legs & lotion/oil was wiped off. Then our toes were painted & finished with nice clear coat. Temporary flip flops were put on us & away we went. read more

I hate to.give a bad review but I was really disappointed. Mani and pedi were rushed. Gels didnt last a week and polish all over my toes. I gqve it a try because it was so close.to my house. Going to my regular pl e to spend more cash to get it done right. read more
