Man all I got to say is woww! The double cheese burger was so delicious and you can actually taste the freshness unlike other fast food joints in the area. Service is great also and they actually ask you what you want on your burger witch shows they care. Found a new spot and excited to try something different next time. My husband and I tried this place today and were sooooo pleasantly surprised! The burgers are good size, juicy and cooked well. The fries and tater tots were awesome but by far the malts were spot on! We had the sourdough burger, the double burger and chocolate malts. People rave about the big franchises but Malt n Burger beats them all. Their burgers are better than 5 guys, Shakes and all of them. It's family run so you actually get waited on and your food prepared by someone who cares. What a place!!! Best tater tots in town. read more

Great little gem in Alvin! Stopped in for a burger, fries and malt. Ate every bite, which is unusual for me. The malts were very good, nice malt flavor. Checked this place out today. The owner was there and he was so nice. The food was great and definitely a hole in the wall joint. It was a very relaxed eating environment. Sitting here sippin' on my tasty chocolate malt now as I write this. There is nothing super unique, but what they do they do well. Prices are good - cheap burgers with more cost for specialty items (ex. Buffalo burger), but still as it should be priced. The Philly cheese steak was delicious with a soft roll, lots of cheese, onion, and chopped steak. The sourdough burger was good also. The chocolate malt is amazing - perfect consistency and great flavor. The banana shake was loaded with fresh bananas and was a little thick, but also delicious. Looking at the Ninja Turtle pinball machine is a must while you wait for your tasty treats. We will absolutely be back. read more

Read the reviews and decided to try it. Very bland cheap thin burger patties. They weren't seasoned at all. Even the fries were bland. My daughter asked for bacon on her burger and it was the thinnest, fake bacon out there. They charged for soft drink refills too. 2 stars because the milk shake was good and the person working the counter was very nice. read more

We have driven by this place several times on our trips to and from Galveston. Memorial day on our way home we decided to stop and eat. Upon entering it was like stepping back in time to the old malt shops. We placed our order and didn't have long to wait. The food came out piping hot and it's was GREAT. The food tasted like it should..... like food. My wife ordered a small strawberry malt on our way out. Tgey even asked her if she wanted it thick or thin. She took her first pull on the straw, looked at me and said " now that's what a malt should be like ". Needless to say we will be stopping more often at this little gem of a place. read more

Today we had the pleasure of eating at Malt N Burger. We brought 30 senior citizens for lunch here after going to the wildlife zoo. I must say we had a very pleasant time. The owner was very attentive and helpful and we all got our food in a reasonable amount of time considering our group size. The staff was all so helpful and very kind. Not impressed at all. My malt tasted like it was made from cheap watered down ice cream with no malt flavor. My cheeseburger was so dry and the frys were bla. Waste of $16 for 2 burgers, small malt large malt and a small fry. :( read more

I've driven past this place for years, and often wondered how the run down little place in the middle of nowhere stayed in business. Finally, a friend that I was helping move offered to by me a burger on the way home. I tried refusing, stating that I was not hungry, did not eat meat, never ate on Tuesdays,blah,blah,blah - but nothing worked. The owner was working behind the counter, she told him I was a newbie, and he immediately suggested a meal that he though I may like. She bought me the meal and I was very impressed! Great burger, good fries, and the prices were so good I didn't feel bad about letting her buy my meal. Wow! I can not say enough about this small town restaurant. It was my first time here and won't be my last. I'm glad I stopped by. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the hamburger and steak sandwich with their jalapeno poppers and milkshake. Everything was perfect, hot and fresh and cooked just right. The best part was the service. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and the owners really care for their customers. You can tell by the way they talk with them and know their names. You don't find many places like these nowadays and I don't ever give reviews but I wanted to really give them a good one because they deserve it. This place is a small town hidden gem!
