I went with a large party (more than 10), and we got our food relatively fast. They also played live music which was nice. This is a really nice spot for lunch. The patio is large and has a lot of seating, the views are great, and on a breezy day it feels wonderful out there. The member's patio is small and very shady, but it can be hard finding seating out there. I dislike the high top tables, they aren't very sturdy and I have seen people knock their wine off them since they wiggle around so much. The non-member's patio is very large and all tables have umbrellas, which is nice. There is a large community seating area next to the bar with canvas shades draped across to prevent getting hit with direct sunlight, but it traps the heat and keeps it too warm in there. I have had lunch here twice. The first time my friend and I each got a pasta dish, two different kinds of ravioli/tortellini. The sauces were very heavy and under-seasoned. I would not order pasta again. Yesterday my friend and I shared a Julia's Favorite pizza (tomatoes, basil, olive oil) and it was perfect. Loved all of the fresh toppings, the cheese, and the amazing crust. It was the perfect size for the two of us since we were starving. It would have been good for three if we weren't so hungry. The prices here are great considering how expensive a lot of the wineries restaurants are. I like that you can buy glasses of wine and beer outside on the patio. This was a great lunch spot for the hubby and me on our Saturday outing to Temecula wine country. Reservations definitely recommended - they were booked solid on a Saturday. That being said, we still felt really safe eating there. Outdoor seating, tables well spaced apart. There was even live music (new with the recent move to red tier)! Keep in mind that this place IS counter service (order at the counter and the food will be brought to you), rather than "wait staff". Though, there are people who come by to remove dirty plates, etc. There was a 2 hour limit on the table, but it was more than enough time for us to check out the menu, order and eat. The two of us shared the Polpette e Marinara and the R&R Pizza. Meatballs in marinara topped with melted cheese. Truffle white pizza made in a brick oven. Both were absolutely delicious. Pricing was a little on the spendier side ($16 for the meatballs and $24 for the pizza), but they can charge that given it was restaurant quality food amidst a sea of wineries. I'm a club member and I was very disappointed today. We didn't have a reservation and that was fine. So we waited 45 mins for a table. I ordered our food and I was told it was a 45 minute wait for food to come out of the kitchen. I'm sorry, that's not acceptable. It ended up being 60 minutes for all the food to come out. If you are going to have a restaurant, your food has to come out of the kitchen faster than that. It was not busy by any standards. For what we paid for lunch I would expect better. Watched several empty tables stay empty during our entire visit while we couldn't be seated. Was very hot, sat in the heat for 2 hours while looking at cooler seats which remained empty. What a terrific spot for a restaurant. The Pizza was absolutely amazing and the trio playing on the outdoor patio was amazing! We did enjoy the meal...despite the service. Sadly, the service falls very flat and my prediction is the restaurant will close or bleed the winery profits. Arriving to the patio is a bit confusing. With two women (one having a name tag stating manager) behind the bar neither seemed to having an interest guiding us in the unique format of their establishment. We expected to be guided to an open table. Turns out customers need to read the menu at the side of the bar like a fast food joint and order there. Then take a number and find your own seat. It just took us a few minutes of thinking we were being ignored for seating to determine that. As I mentioned the food was delicious. Again, service, eh? Twice I had to get up from my table and go fill our own water glasses. It felt like the setup at a beach bar at Daytona instead of a fine winery in Temecula. ( there was at least 5 available) my friend went up to the manager Richard and asked very politely if we could move tables, he was rude & very unaccommodating! Then my other friend went up & proceeded to ask as well.. The whole time Richard never tried to accommodate us in any way, mind you this whole time people are getting up and moving to the tables right in front of him.. We were considerate enough to ask..Needless to say Richard could definitely use a lesson in Manners and Management. .. because of this they lost several good customers.. read more

With all the wineries out there they def don't rank with the better ones and they aren't one of the original farmers. Came in and bought some land with grapes and built a restaurant versus some of the originals who do this to make a living not to try to get rich off of tourists but love what they do. Also the General Manager, Carmen, wants locals to spend money here but doesn't want to spend money with the locals. I was very disappointed in the service here. It was over 100 degrees outside and I was celebrating a special birthday with friends. We had a reservation and while they were busy when we arrived we did not have a designated table. The water misted patio was full so, I chose a table as close to the misters as possible. It took over an hour to get 2 salads and a Bruschetta. As we waited and baked in the sun, several tables (5 to be exact) were cleared. We asked the hostess very politely IF we could move to a cooler spot! She said NO. I asked to speak to the manager, Richard and he also said no because there were more reservations coming in. In the meantime other parties just moved to the misted area without asking. While we sat in the heat, only 1 other party came in and was seated. I found Richard to be very rude and offensive. In many previous visits to Robert Renzoni I always enjoyed my time there. Needless to say, myself and two other people will not be going there again and I will not recommend it to any other friends as I have done in the past. The customer service was truly awful. The food was ok but, there are a lot of other choices in Wine Country where you will be treated well & be able to relax in a cool atmosphere. I don't recommend Mama Rosas Trattoria. read more

Mama Rosa's Trattoria located within Robert Renzoni's Vineyards was sensational. What an amazing experience at this family owned vineyard! I'm a lover of red wines but their "Julia's Vineyard" Pinot Grigio (named after Robert's mother) is spectacular! It's light, crisp and refreshing and not too sweet. Every single appetizer was fantastic - and I must say, I've never been a bruschetta fan, but their Bruschetta al Prosciutto was phenomenal. It was hard to stop myself to save room for the main courses (there were 22 of us family members). We tried every pizza (Julia's Favorite, Tre Salame, Quatro Formaggi) and all were delicious topping combinations. The pizza dough had just enough chew while keeping the crust light and crunchy. Their flour is imported from Italy and their bread is FedEx'ed every night from NJ. We were blessed in being able to try 2 upcoming additions to the menu, the Meatball Sandwich and the Short Rib Ravioli with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce. Both were great but I have to say, WOW!!!! to the ravioli! The Gorgonzola was not sharp at all. It was the best ravioli I've ever had, and that type of pasta usually does nothing for me.
