Took two attempts to get through, after almost 7 rings on my second attempt my call was answered by a male that sounded like I woke him up. He began to take my order then stopped to handle another customer inside the store that was complaint because he didn't get all of his order. I placed an order for a taco salad, no jalapeños but with guacamole... it was $8.25 after seeing a Facebook post about how amazing it was. I was not so lucky. I place my order and I'm told they're pretty slammed so it will take 30 minutes. I go in to pick up my order to see the "slammed" staff all just standing around doing nothing but talking to each other. I get my order and go home to find that I literally have a cup of salad, meat and additional toppings I my large fried tortilla bowl. It was definitely not worth the price when I could get the same quality from Taco Bell for half the price. Totally not worth it. read more

Mamacita's is the go to place in Kent for great Mexican food. We are from Texas and pride ourselves on knowing food from south of the border. You can't beat the shrimp tacos or Birria special tacos. Once you try them, you will have to keep coming back for more. Staff is very friendly and it's a family owned business. What could be better??? read more

Hands down the best Mexican food I've had since moving to Ohio 6 years ago! My only regret is that we were just visiting from the Dayton area. I'll be making special trips to Parma any chance I get. I tried the chicken taquitos with guacamole, a fried shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with red sauce. Everything was exceptional!! Do yourself a favor and try this quaint little restaurant. Prices are way too high for unoriginal food. Nothing special about anything on the menu and they charge a ridiculous amount for chips and salsa that are only enough for one person and free in any other Mexican restaurant. 2 shrimp tacos that are more rice than anything that come with the tiniest shrimp possible for $14 is outrageous. 2 baja tacos (which is just a common cheap white fish) for $12 is beyond reason. They hike up their Sam's club bottle beverages and don't even serve you at your table. At this point with the flood of Mexican restaurants in Kent and Stow I cant imagine why I would ever waste my time on this business again. read more

So, stopped out for lunch on Saturday around noon, with a buddy after hearing good things about this place. 2 people in house working, a young lady & a gent. Both were very nice & personable. However, no Mamacita's were present during our visit. As we explained that we've never been to Mamacita's before. The young lady explained the menu to us & gave us her favorites as well. Which was nice... After ordering we read the news clipping, looked at couple pictures of Cali beaches, then sat (there's 2 tables) watched and waited. Place had some activity w/phone and a walk-in couple who'd never been there before, like us. Now we ordered a handful of items just to try a variety of the menu. Just under $40 was the total. All the ingredients looked fresh which is a great start. But hot items should be hot.. the microwave gets a lot of use here. You can watch your food being prepared, again a good thing. The queso which had to be reheated, was good. The guacamole was good, with hearty chunks of tomato, onion, cilantro would have liked some more avocado personally. It did have some jalapeño too. The Elote needed to be hotter, was okay but wouldn't get it again. Same with the taquitos, they lacked flavor & I wouldn't get them again. My buddy had the Chicken Cali burrito & again "okay, but wouldn't rush here to get one" was his reply. If in area he'd stop, but not a "I gotta get me one of those". The pork street tacos were my favorite item. A single corn tortilla (not double) was loaded with tender pork, topped with onions & cilantro. It was very good. As for the chicken street taco the shredded chicken wasn't dried out, but lacked flavor. Was okay, added some elote to it. Oh & the chips were made in house and were very good as well. The queso dip needed to be hotter and topping with a pinch of chorizo would a winner. Overall a decent place, fresh ingredients everyone was friendly & aimed to please. This place is great! Fresh, made to order food! The guacamole is so delicious! Fresh made chips and locally made, authentic tortillas. If you're a carb avoider like myself you can order an awesome bowl that puts any of these chain restaurants to shame! Excellent prices too! Another really awesome thing is that Mamacita's offers a lot of kid friendly options so the entire family can enjoy the meal together. Oh, and my family LOVES the wings. Easy to find on what seems to be a Main Street in the area. It is located in a small strip mall with limited parking. As I walked in 2 ladies promptly welcomed me and thanked me for choosing their place to eat. They were friendly and offered to answer any questions about the menu. It is a small place with only a few tables but I was ordering to go anyway. Interior was clean with a clear view to the kitchen area. Ordered the chalupa and Chicken taco salad. The taco salad was in a crispy fried shell and was excellent from start to finish, the flavor of the chicken was outstanding. Still nibbling on the shell as I'm typing this. The chalupa was also prepared and tasted excellent. I look forward to going back as well as I would recommend stopping here. Well done Ladies. read more

So I finally tried this place the other day. Freaking awesome! True California burrito with treat sauces and awesome gauc! Finally an alternative to chipotle that actually benefits local business. Ordered online. No pictures, No big deal though. Food was editable but that is all. Very bland. Here is a tip, HOT ITEMS SHOULD BE HOT! Not lukewarm. Also, I don't know how long you have been in America, but Americans hate to be ignored, so when someone walks into your shop, at least acknowledge their presence. This place definitely deserves attention. After living in SoCal for 27 years, it was so disappointing not having simple, authentic Mexican food. It's so great to see tacos with cilantro and onion on the menu (they still serve taco bell style tacos if you want them). They even do a California burrito with potatoes and beef. First time I've seen it in the Cleveland area. THEY HAVE BREAKFAST BURRITOS! Can't wait to try them. The food isn't perfect yet. They've only been open two weeks. I think the food need a bit more salt/seasoning and the beans and rice sides should be a lot larger. New little restaurant in Parma. Keep in mind they are primarily a takeout place so there is not much in terms of space or seating. It is very colorful inside! The ladies working are really nice. There is only 3 of them for now so be patient with waiting for your order. The first night I ordered takeout and they forgot to put a few ingredients on my taco salad. I would've drove back but I have a 1 year old so I messaged their Facebook page and the owner was willing to refund my purchase and re-make the taco salad whenever I could make it there. Great customer service. I went back a few days layer and got my taco salad and it was delicious!!! All of their meat is delicious. I have also tried their taquitos and they were great. My boyfriend had tacos and a quesadilla and he was very impressed. I didn't try any but he said the queso was great too. The chips were still warm and they are the thicker tortilla chips which I love. The best thing was the guacamole. Omg it was delicious and so fresh. I will continue to frequent this place just for the guac!!! I'm happy this place is 5 minutes from my house. It is definitely worth a try. We stopped in on a Friday evening and enjoyed some great - and authentic - Cali-Mex cuisine (full disclosure - I'm a SoCal born). I had the fish tacos; they were cooked to perfection and the cilantro crema really put the dish over the top. My wife had the chicken taquitos, my daughter had a beef taco and my son had the chimichanga. Let's just say the table fell very silent because we were all loving the food! Hilaree was so nice to talk with and her son kept my kids entertained. What a great story on how they ended up in Cleveland and started this restaurant. I'm glad they picked our neighborhood! Ridiculously delicious! Even chips are made fresh when ordered. Meats are full of flavor and seasoned perfectly. Don't let storefront and strip center fool you. The inside is clean, bright, welcoming. There are only a couple tables inside and the business is primarily designed for take-out. We love the burritos, enchiladas, and taco salad.
