My wife and I stopped by this past Saturday to grab lunch, we were not disappointed. Originally from Southern California, I am used to Great Mexican Food and Mamacita's did not disappoint. I had the Chile Verde Burrito, it was delicious! The Pork was tender and the Chile Verde was on point, robust and flavorful. My wife had the Combo Burrito, along with the Kickin Bourbon Wings. The wings were great and she enjoyed the Burrito as well, it had the right balance of spice, she doesn't like a lot of heat. I have to say, Mamacita's is my new favorite and I will be stopping by on a regular basis. WELL DONE LADIES!!! read more

We ordered from Mamacita's for the first time today. Our family loved it. We enjoy the occasional meal at your typical Mexican restaurant but also enjoy trendy places like Bakersfield and Barrio. The food here is a bit of an in between from these too extremes. The food tastes like it was homemade and was very flavorful. Price was very reasonable too. Don't let the outside scare you (construction on the street) this place is a hidden gem. Very good, authentic, and inexpensive. It's very hard to find authentic mexican food in Cle. Had two visits on consecutive days. Ordered the Cali Street Tacos, which were very basic but exceptionally good, will be ordering them again. Second visit got tacquitos, a chimichanga, enchilladas and the carne asada fries. Between my wife and I sampling each we gave everything an enthusiastic thumbs up. It appears to be a mother / daughter team, both of them lovely people, very courteous. This ain't Taco Bell so it takes a bit longer, but we'll worth your patience. I was really excited to try this place. The decor is nice. The menu looked good. I was impressed to see carne asada fries on the menu. Unfortunately, I never got to taste the food. As soon as I placed my order, everything went down hill. The young man that was preparing the food in the back didn't have any gloves on. He proceeded to pull his pants up, touch various objects in the kitchen. I expected him to wash his hands and put gloves on before touching the food BUT NOOO! He stuck his unclean hands in a bag of tortillas and proceeded to make our food. I immediately canceled our order. Then proceeded to get cursed at by the kitchen staff, while I was waiting for a refund. I'm not saying this review reflects the owners or the quality of the food. I won't be back here again. Best Mexican food in the Greater Cleveland area. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Kid's menu items are super cheap. Regular menu items are a good value, especially for the quality. I ordered my food by phone at 5:55, when I was told it would take 25 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at 5:10 and waited and waited. At 5:36 the counter worker "discovered" my food on the counter after it had been sitting for an undetermined amount of time. Drove home in 11 minutes and my food was ice cold. Very disappointing. As a DoorDash driver I'm highly disappointed in how slow the ticket time is here. I showed up and was told 15 minutes. I drove to Fulton & Pearl and back (20 minutes) just to be told 5 minutes upon arrival. I'm glad it wasn't my food that was this late but it still affects me. As a former line cook/lead cook, the tall young dude in the kitchen would be gone if it were. The order took 40 minutes from the time it was placed till I received the food (6 items) and the order was delivered 20 minutes late. read more

Not much room for seating right now, but well worth a visit, even if you wind up doing take out. Authentic family recipes with really great flavors. I had a taco salad with chicken- amazing! Very tasty and crispy taco shell and a wonderful mix of veggies, chicken and special sauce. The avocado crema on the side was awesome too. My boyfriend (Dennis Quaid) had the chicken mole` and that was outstanding as well. You won't be disappointed. read more

After spending a few years in the Oceanside California area while in the military, I fell in love with the food all throughout the area, especially the California Burritos and Carne asada fries. After hearing about Mamacita's a few weeks ago I looked at their menu and saw both the California Burrito and Carne Asada fries that I had missed for years. Now, I went into this, excited with high hopes but knew I shouldn't expect the same as I had in California. The two women working there were friendly and greeted us as we walked in which was very appreciated. The layout was nice and had a few spots to sit at if you wanted to eat-in. I tried the Cali burrito which was pretty good, but not as big as I remember from all of the local spots in Oceanside. For next time, I would hope the fries were more crispy, and meat a little more tender. Also, I would ask for sauce/salsa on the side which I wasn't asked about and completely forgot to get. I will definitely return to try the carne asada fries and tacos. I just saw they will have Horchata soon and hopefully they will have Jamaica at some point. I hope Mamacita's stays around because I know they will only get better with time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for California style Mexican food! read more

So this was my second experience and it was worse then the first. After the first experience we enjoyed the food except for the order being messed up however the lady apologized when we called so we decided to give it another try. I should have hung up after calling in my order since the employee who answered had me repeat each item I was ordering several time and didn't even understand half of the items I was trying to order. But decided they must have him up front and kept the people in the back who know what they are doing. When we called to let them know of our concerns this time we were not just missing sides and toppings we were actually missing meat which we were charged for we got told that they have new employees and when my husband said that is not my problem he was hung up on so if you want good serve and actually get what you order I would find another Mexican place. I understand that things happen but I also expect customer service and to be treated with respect. Won't be going their again. I guess we ordered to late and they must have been out of chicken because we were missing in 2 of our items. read more
