I stopped by for Sunday brunch, which seemed busy at first, but the wait for two was only about ~10 min. Coffee was stellar! I tried both the honey lavender latte and the seasonal orange blossom latte, and both had good espresso bases with light floral notes. The plating is beautiful, and the service is friendly, but I would love to see some sort of Gluten free pastry availble. I'm not impressed with their drinks. Taste like powder sitting on top of hot chocolate. If you sip from the cup, I bet you won't get any chocolate flavor on your first sip. I went with my wife today and they closed earlier than their signs indicate. I was happy because I feel their pastries are bland, boring, and overpriced. I can mention some of the items I've previously had. Their pretzel cookie tastes gritty, too sugary, and like it's from an old box from a bad supermarket. My wife brought a fruit type cake pastry that was somehow tasteless and gross tasting at the same time. The rose cookie is delicious, but pricey, worth the money though. Honestly this place is an aesthetically pleasing waste of time with a rude manager. I wasn't aware of Maman's "no laptop" policy - probably considering because there's no sign, and it's easily one of the dumbest things I've ever heard...especially at 1PM on a Monday in an nearly empty shop. The rule is absurd but the experience is what led me to make a review. This manager watched fully unpack my laptops, start writing a to-do list, sit and look something up for 15 min...TO THEN SEND SOMEONE OVER TO TELL ME THIS RULE. I had beverages delivered, a table cleaned and again HAD BEEN SITTING for 15 min - approaching my "in the groove" moment for this rude woman to not approach me herself, but to send someone over. So when I went to seek a refund - I then asked to speak to a manager. She literally rolled her eyes and carried on with her loud conversation. The other employees were sweet enough to try to help me out despite the managers rudeness. I could understand if I had an attitude, or I was being disruptive - but I truly just wanted to understand the policy and it's intention, and yet I was treated like the scum of the earth after spending $20 on liquids.
