Solid pizza choices that taste great + the greatest best crust ever (for the square slices). I can't recommend the upside down square slice enough. I must have bought it 3 times during my 5 day stay in NYC recently. I even made sure to buy extras for me and my family while we hunkered down in the hotel during the night of the blizzard in Feb 2026. The deserts we tried were just okay. The pizza is what kept me coming back!

If you are looking for fresh breakfast that is both delicious and cost friendly, then a stop at Mamas Pizza is a must. Located right on the corner of W.44 and 8th avenue, it is walking distance from the surrounding hotels. As you walk in under the covered entrance, you are greeted by the friendly, inviting owner. To your immediate left, you will notice the pastries, pizza, and pasta. But don't look too fast because you might miss the ice cream on the right hand side. For the foodies, they offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and 24 hour desserts. Here is our take on breakfast with one word - delicious.! Our breakfast sandwiches were made fresh in front of us. They don't toast the bread in a toaster or oven, rather they time staking toast the bread on the grill. This process ensure the crispness of the bread. Altogether with the eggs, melted cheese, and ham, it was absolutely fresh and delicious. If you do visit for breakfast, the extra add ons (additional items after the egg and bread) will cost but do add substantial flavor. Our regular breakfast sandwich with egg and bread cost approximately $6.00 and the sandwich with eggs, cheese, and ham cost approximately $7.00. If you order and then pay, they wrap the food and you pay at the counter. If you pay first, they wrap it up in foil , slide it to the bakery side for them to issue it to you, Food - 4 stars Customer service - 4 stars Price - 3 dollar signs Cleanliness- 3 stars Restrooms 2;stars: not open to the public, only to the patrons. You have to ask for a key. It is small and not appealing.

Solid spot to get a quick bite of pizza pasta salad or pasta. Reasonably priced, it has something for everyone!

    Pepperoni pizza. Very good.

Fast service and delicious pizza! Our favorite one so far in NYC! They have so many other food options that I still need to try. So many desserts to choose from also.

Just look at the crust and you know. Very low grade even if we forget that we are in NY. Frozen pizza grade pizza. Just. Don't. Do. It.

Pizza is really bad. Even if we forget that we are in NY. Just look at the picture. Crust is frozen pizza grade. Walk a few more blocks and get something way better.

11am Wednesday 11/14/2024 Warming, Welcoming, Friendly staff and service. Hot and fresh breakfast, coffee, pizza, baked goods as well as salads. A must have/try when in the Time Square area.

I should never have put that in my mouth!!

Made the mistake of walking in here for a quick bite before a show. Decided on a Greek salad with grilled chicken. It was completely inedible. Lettuce was slimey. The chicken was bad. Not like not tasty but like actually bad. Rubbery and tasted rank. Turned my stomach and made me want to vomit. Literally. Threw the entire plate in the trash and walked out after I couldn't get anyone's attention to alert them to their spoiled food. Maybe the pizza and baked goods might be better but I won't be going back to find out.

Mama said that it was okay ... Mama said that it was quite alright ... But it wasn't. I love my wife dearly, so, we came to Mama's Pizza near the Westin Hotel not once ... but TWICE ... for late-night NYC-esque pizza. I really wasn't impressed by the re-heated thin slices ... or eating the pizza at downright dirty tables ... but SHE WAS. For real. My little mama really, really did like the simple classic pizza from this cafeteria-style pizza joint for a quick post-drinking, before-bed pizzaventure amongst the after-1:00 a.m. coterie along 8th Avenue. Mama said Mama's Pizza was 4 stars. I sez it was 2. So, this 3-star Yelp says that it was okay ... Yep, we said that it was quite alright ...

Came in for a piece of pizza and these slices are huge!! Customer service was great as pizzas were picked toasted and paid for in less than 5 min!

Alright so rating this with the standard of "cafeteria food" - pretty good late night eats. I was pleasantly surprised. The employees were so nice. First, they overheard my sister asking me for hot sauce (which I don't know why she thought I'd have some), so they gave her a bunch of packets. They also cut a hole in the to-go box for the fries, and gave us more ranch than we expected. Looking at the old/stale pies laying out on hot plates at 12 am, I didn't have the highest standards. BUT the hawaiian pizza was decent. The crust was softer than "real NY pizza" but I've found that softer/chewier is my preference. A slice was just as big as anywhere else in NY. French fries were thick, very crispy, tender and fluffy/potatoey on the inside. I had already eaten dinner, dessert, an evening cocktail (basically still sober), and I still shoveled down my half of the box; sister got the other half.

This place was open late and the food was alright. Staff was friendly and so were the customers. I ended up getting a slice of pizza with pasta on top which was good. I also got a pasta dish with chicken. It was OK. Overall, 3*

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
