Eastside AYCE buffet that does pan asian, seafood and sushi. Not quite as expansive as Feast Buffet in Renton but it has all the required AYCE options like snow crab legs, Chinese American take out foods, cheesy spinach, a made to order Mongolian BBQ grill and sushi selection. The stand out for me is the popcorn machine! I have never seen this at any other AYCE joints. Movie theater popcorn is a personal weakness of mine that I will never resist! Drinks are not self serve and you put in your drink order when you pay to enter, and your bevy is brought to your table. You may need to be assertive in flagging down staff to refill. It is not a far walk from the 2 line light link rail for an easy car free commute if you are coming from Seattle!

I think it's the 10th time that I'm visiting this restaurant, and I continue bringing friends that become frequent visitors as well ... if it wasn't a buffet, I would come once a week, but I end up eating too much of course so need to manage the visits carefully

    Pretty good selection

No clue why, but this was my niece's choice, for her birthday. She found it online and insisted. Very unassuming, on the outside, but the inside is actually quite nice! The place is nice and clean. Good selection of food items and, super friendly staff too! I liked that they had a nice sushi selection, seafood and desserts, equipped with a chocolate fountain! It was great! Glad she made a nice choice!

I've visited this place twice for Thanksgiving lunch, and it never disappointed! The interior is clean and inviting, with plenty of seating to accommodate large crowds. They offer an impressive variety of food, including salads, sushi, fruits, a stir-fry station, Chinese and American entrées, soups, and desserts. On both visits, the sushi, oysters, and crab legs were especially good! Although it was busy each time, the staff was attentive--quickly clearing plates and keeping our water glasses full. I will be back!

This is the second buffet I've visited, located in Redmond. There weren't too many customers at lunchtime, but the food was fresh, and at first glance, nothing looked unappetizing. Environment: Redmond is very close to Bellevue, with many big tech companies nearby, so the local spending power is high. As a result, the environment is naturally not an issue. The buffet area is clean and well‑organized, with clearly separated sections: Japanese food, hot dishes, salad, fruit, steamed dim sum, and Western food. The clientele here is noticeably more diverse than at the buffet I visited in Auburn - clearly thanks to the greater variety of food. The seating is spacious. Overall, a big plus. Service: Nothing stood out about the service, except that the staff cleared plates promptly. I think a buffet restaurant should proactively ask customers about their dining experience in order to adjust the menu and introduce new items. After all, constant renewal and innovation are a restaurant's promotional tools. Taste / Food: Steak - The first thing I tried from the Chinese food section. The beef quality wasn't outstanding; it was cooked well‑done and a bit too salty. Not recommended. Sushi - The salmon sushi was fresh. For the Arctic surf clam sushi, each piece came with two slices of clam, but the nori overpowered the delicate flavour of the clam - not recommended. Cantonese steamed dim sum - The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were pre‑made / semi‑finished products. As I've mentioned before, if a restaurant doesn't make them from scratch, using a good semi‑finished product actually becomes a matter of trust. If a good restaurant carefully selects a high‑quality pre‑made product, I think most customers can accept it. The steamed ginger & scallion beef tripe was tender, with a balanced saltiness - recommended. The steamed purple rice cake was also a semi‑finished product, but it was slightly undercooked. Hot dishes - The total number of raw ingredients used in the hot dishes was no more than 15 SKUs, often combined in predictable ways. I tried beef with broccoli, plain stir‑fried broccoli, celery with shrimp, etc. The wok work wasn't particularly impressive. Fruit - When fruit sits out for too long, it oxidises - for example, pineapple and cantaloupe. I was a bit disappointed to see mango pudding in the fruit section. The strawberries were good. Final thoughts: As someone who used to work in the restaurant industry, the key to making a buffet stand out is actually product selection (choice of dishes and ingredients). The profit model of a buffet isn't a secret, so finding great suppliers and competitive purchasing prices becomes critical. The dining experience at a buffet is similar to hot pot - we give the choice to the customers, and they decide for themselves. That's why product selection is even more important for a buffet's competitiveness. Overall, the whole buffet experience is very enjoyable. All in all, recommend

Business statement that 100% of the service charge that should have sales tax applied to it goes to the hard working employees.

The wide variety of food is great on weekends and for dinner. The wait staff are very friendly, attentive, and come by frequently to take away finished plates and refill water. Ambience is okay. The negative is that they impose a 10% service charge you can't opt out of and don't disclose. I marked the Clover device screen "no tip" as I prefer to leave cash tips so now because I did both, I feel stolen from.

Overall a 2.5. I really dislike giving places less than a 3 star but we will never come back to this place and I'd least have to maybe want to come back or would recommend to someone else. And this place just didn't do it for us. It's your run of the mill Asian buffet. The food is average and not the worst but ehhhh, just okay. They had lots of Asian themed options with even a dim sum section. They had crab legs, shrimp, sushi and an okay dessert section. There are signs stating that if you take unauthorized food they will charge you $50.00 lb. Unfinished food will be $20.00 a lb. The customer service was good. The people were friendly and the place was definitely busy. Lots of people going back for food and eating plenty so they definitely are doing something right - it just wasn't our cup of tea overall. We felt many of the meats were overcooked and dry. Some of the food on the bland side.

Usually I avoid buffets because I don't feel I eat my money's worth AND more importantly, because food is made in large portions I feel the taste and or quality is compromised. That was not the case here at Mandarin's. My sister in law and her husband are chefs and foodies and they recommended this place. They have quite the selection and I definitely got my money's worth! I ate sushi, steak, veggies, soup, and more! The options are endless and everything I ate was so delicious! Service was good. It's pretty much self debt other than drinks and paying as soon as you walk in. Ambiance is very lively. It's a very big open space with tables and booths. Great experience overall and highly recommend!

The best Fish and Chips, worth the price of admission alone. The Kung Pao Chicken was excellent, especially with the Zucchini . Service was good, always kept my soda filled.

This place is terrible. The food quality is horrible, and the service is just as bad. Plates sat stacked on the table forever without being cleared. The "steak" was laughable--so thin it had zero flavor. I waited over 20 minutes for watermelon, only to see the person who was supposed to cut it just sitting there watching me wait. If I could give zero stars, I would. Stay away--don't waste your time or money.

My son graduated and I made reservations here in advance and called to ask about a table for 10, and if they could accommodate us and they said they could. Great! And I separately called about wanting to bring cupcakes and if that was allowed and they were cool with that, so super! It is one of my son's favorite spots so when the evening arrived, we got to the restaurant only to be led to a table that seated 6 in one corner and 4 kitty corner from that table. So...a family gathering had to be split, with 4 of us not even being at the same table as my son-including me. Mom. And in order to be close to him I sat with my back turned from him. Not ideal at all. So I was definitely miffed by this. I approached someone about it-not sure if he's the manager or not but he was very apologetic about it and said that they don't have seating for 10 at one table. But they tried their best by putting us all in the corner together. Not the same thing unfortunately as we could not all celebrate or converse all together. I told him that I had called specifically asking if they could accommodate 10 and I was assured they could but I did not know I had to ask "at the same table?". They should have been forthcoming that it would be at two different tables otherwise I would have made a reservation elsewhere for the celebration. What could I do but just accept his apology? But then, with a party of 10, I would think we would get extra attention but I guess since tip is already included after 5 in a party, they just called it in because I had to ask for more plates, more napkins, spoons, & water because the setting at the table was for 2, and we had 4. No one even asked us if we needed any more broth nor did they ever come to ask if anyone wanted a refill of the AYCE meats. Not that we could eat anymore but no one even offered. And, since everyone had to order the same meat plates, and one person wanted the wagyu, we all had to get wagyu at our table. Doesn't seem fair to me especially when they don't even offer more but I guess that's policy. When my son and I come in by ourselves, they are very attentive and always ask us if we need more of anything. But it was hard to find anyone to come to our table. They never checked on us after they brought the broth and meats the one time. So let me say I was very upset that the tip was included because really, no one served us unless we asked for more things. No one checked on us. Then I had to go and find someone so we could pay our bill. They apologized again for not seating us together but what could I say at that point? I'm not going to make a scene but it ruined a special night when all of the family couldn't sit together. Very disappointed with this visit especially when it's one of our fave places and we frequent it often and spent a good amount of $ that night with 10 people.

I've waited tables myself for over 10 years, from diners to fine dining, and I wouldn't have dreamed of ever acting like that with a guest. At this point I spoke to the manager and he took the server off our table. The manager was very understanding and acted quickly to switch us to a new server, and they let us order the oysters with just the migonette. Even though the manager comped the oysters, and was trying to salvage our experience, our visit was pretty much ruined by that server. I've never been openly disrespected by a waiter like that before, and I've played the interaction out in my mind multiple times, and I still have no idea what made him crash out like that. Servers are the face and the personality of any restaurant. And to see a waiter get so openly hostile when someone is trying to I ever encountered a server who was even a fraction as rude as this guy was - he went from zero to hostile in a matter of seconds, and I still have absolutely no idea why.

For example, we dined in last Sunday for dinner, and were promptly seated. We ordered the garlic naan to share, and our vegetarian friend ordered the Paneer Makhni. However, when the dish arrived, she took a bite and discovered that there were chicken pieces inside, and when we alerted the server, we didn't even receive an apology. They took away her plate, which had some rice and garlic naan, and gave her a new plate with a new order of the Paneer Makhni, and did not replace the rice and garlic naan that was lost due to their mistake. I feel that giving a vegetarian or vegan person a dish with meat is a huge mistake, and I was very disappointed by the lack of an apology and the lack of an effort to make things right. On the happy side, the garlic naan was tasty, and I personally ordered a chicken kabob dish that was covered in sauce, which was phenomenal. Another example is that for 3 or 4 visits, we interacted with the same server. He always greeted us with "ni hao" even though we are not Chinese. Even worse, on multiple occasions, after we paid for the food with credit card, he would make up some lie about how the card reader was broken for the tip portion, and he would ask for a cash tip that he pocketed. We've never had this issue with any other server, and I've even seen this guy tell other groups the same lie about the card reader not working for the tip portion, even though it worked fine for the main payment. In summary, although Kanishka seems to have some food quality control issues, the food is delicious, and the service can be a wide range from very poor to good.

From the owner, Allan, to their servers and staff, we can confidently say that this is by far the best food and service experience we have ever had! The dining area was very clean. It's designed for medium to large groups. If I haven't said it enough, Allan and his team were so nice and accomodating. They always checked in to make sure we have everytthing we need. Visit KSKBBQ- you will not be disapppointed! Anan from Lynnwood

First, I'd like to start by saying, there was nothing wrong with my time or food here at K-street…read moreK-BBQ. We ordered the brisket and kings ribs. I can say the meat looked like high quality and tasted great! The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I personally wasn't a huge fan of the banchan (side dishes) that were offered. There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Overall though, I would say come here for the high quality meat! The service was good, but personally, I just won't be returning. I feel like there are other K-BBQ places that meet my taste buds more than this place.
