I'm kinda stuck on there Panchit Malabon, been the only dish I've enjoyed over & over. I tried something else once but this that draws me here.

Filipino food at Manila Sunset. Ordered fresh lumpia, which is one of their best seller. Consists of vegetables with a flavorful sauce and crushed peanuts topped with boiled egg. They also have combo meal. I ordered bbq pork , that is juicy and flavorful paired with steamed rice. Also ordered halo halo, a shaved iced dessert with sweet beans, jello, with evaporated milk and ice cream on top. Service was ok. If you are craving for Filipino food come check out Manila Sunset in West Covina.

Always a good stop to find some Filipino home goodness. Chicken skewers have that bbq char reminding you of younger years getting the marinated meat and skewering the beef onto the sticks before the extended family arrives. Make the rice! The classic flavor is the craveable bite that takes me back. Service is welcoming helpful and friendly. Inside seating available. Parking right in front of restaurant.

We have not been here for a couple of months and was surprised on some changes. First, you need to pay if you want an extra Styrofoam plate. That's ridiculous. The crispy tokwa have much less crispy pork than before. The goto also doesn't have any taste with less meat. Their quality obviously has gone down. For this experience I will give them 2.5

Busy for Sunday. Since warm weather family craving Filipino famous Halo-Halo trying out Manila Sunset heard they make it GOOD? Can't wait, order To-Go plus for dinner. Halo-Halo my family & I enjoyed on these warm weather!)

Came in for a late lunch and ordered pansit malabon and it looks like pansit cabbage. I guess there was a sale on cabbage, they overloaded our order with cabbage. I ended up having gas in the evening. And to add to that, the kitchen was too noisy for us to enjoy our cabbage pansit. There was yelling, screaming and loud talking and laughing enough to scare us away. This review is based on todays meal.

Decent Filipino spot, but nothing that really wowed me. I had the longganisa and eggs plate for breakfast and it tasted fine. My favorite was the goto porridge, very delicious on a cold day. Combo plates range from $13-$16 and come with a side of sinigang.

There were some hits and misses with some of the dishes that I ordered. However, I should preface this by saying this is probably one of the better Filipino restaurants in the area. Here's what we got: - Pancit Malbon: I've been trying to find a good one and this is probably one of my favorites. It could use a few more shrimp on top, but the sauce and noodles are good and the addition of the cabbage adds a different texture. - Lumpia Shanghai: Good flavor, though kind of small. - Lumpia Prito: super large (and not in a good way), greasy, but the vinegar made this way better. - Chicken skewer plate: the addition of the achara was perfect, even though it teetered on the side of a bit too sweet. Overall flavor was good. - Crispy Tokwa't Baboy: the fried tofu and lechon were excellent. the vinegar sauce wasn't too strong and had a slight sweetness. The only thing I didn't like about this dish was the pig ear. It was too soft and squishy, not a great texture. Overall, there were some good dishes and not so good. Definitely would considering coming back for the pancit malabon, lumpia shanghai and tokwa't baboy.

They had a live musician playing jazz, so it was really lively. We reviewed the HH menu, and made decisions quickly as we had a hungry kid with us. We ordered the sisig tacos, burger, steak skewers, calamari and melon & heirloom tomato salad. We decided to pass on their HH drinks. The standouts were the burgers and the skewers. The burger was very flavorful and juicy, while the skewers were seasoned well and very meaty. All the other dishes were just okay. Service was okay-we did have to ask for things, but it was hard to flag someone down as we were out of their sight line (on the other side of the wall). Pricing for the food was also only okay... it was on the pricier side for the food. Plenty of parking as this was a strip mall.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

Owners are so nice and cool, one is the chef and the other is a pastry chef. Atmosphere and vibes were nice in a Saturday evening, but food could be a bit better. It's made with sourdough bread. It's not overpowering in any particular flavor, and most importantly, it's not greasy. Adding extra Dijon mustard makes a big difference. Replacing fries with house-made potatoes adds a nice variation. It was missing sliced pickles. The flavor was good and melted cheese paired well. The smoked bagel would be better with sliced red onions and capers, which were absent. Otherwise, it was good. The bagel wasn't overly dense. The service was quick and friendly.

One of the main reasons I love ordering this particular dish is because of the Mediterranean salad that normally comes with it. Today, instead of the salad, it came with zucchini, and the zucchini was so hard I could barely even bite into it. Another time, the sides were different as well. Even the flavor of the food seems to change from one order to another. Today I also placed my order ahead of time, drove about 10 minutes to pick it up, and still had to wait another 10 minutes once I arrived, only to receive a meal that wasn't what I was expecting.
