Been going here all the time. Service and everything been great until now. Went in as usual but then no one started checking up on us after the first time. Ended up with only 1-2 rounds of meat. Every worker just looked at us and ignored even after trying to get their attention. I don't know what happened that day but it was horrible. On top of that, the worse part was that this older lady got upset that i tipped $5 instead of $10 for poor service. I should have tipped $0. That's what they deserve. It is pretty much a scam. Is it unlimited food, yes. Do they give you unlimited meat and seafood without hesitation, hell no. Service is terrible, they refill your orders slowly on purpose so you can't eat over $25 I guess and waitresses argue with you about orders like they own the place. 2 hours limit and they only fill 3 orders. So, again i gave my 3 choices and my friend were trying to give their 3 selections, she said no only 3. We realized there's language barrier. We tried to understand but were puzzled on how this work. This review is for their KBBQ. I never had their hotpot. Manna is my favorite AYCE KBBQ spot in town because they have one item on their menu that I have yet to find at another joint (at least one that's doing it "correctly"). That one item is their thinly sliced pork belly!! It's very thin, almost bacon-like. If you prefer the traditional BBQ pork belly, you prob won't like it, but for me, it's heaven in my mouth. They have pretty good meat selections and a good variety of side dishes. They even have ramen (the instant noodle kind) and bibimbap. I did notice the last time I came here they reduced the portion per order, but each order came super fast, so no complaints there. They have this robot that brings the food to your table. Grills were not pre-oiled so the meat kept sticking and had to be changed out too frequently. Service was not good. Hot Pot is the perfect type of food for a frigid night. I made reservations for 12 people on a Friday night. When I arrived on time, lots of people were waiting in line so I was thankful I made reservation. However, there wasn't a host at the counter and we couldn't get anyone's attention for 20 minutes. When we finally stopped someone, she led us straight to our table. Everyone gets his/her own broth pot and then skedaddle to the buffet line to pile up on seafood (crab was disgusting), vegetables, and noodles. Meats need to be ordered through the server. The only dessert they had was ice cream - chocolate or vanilla. What happened to the mochi ice cream and iced ginger drink?? They were so good! The only reason I knocked off a star is because dessert was practically nonexistent. Oh, don't expect all servers to be cordial as we have had many aloof ones but they are quick with requests. So I came here because a friend invited me to try it. Honestly I didn't think I would liked it based on the pictures but I like to try things at least once. Sadly I didn't like it. It's all u can eat pricing so 25.99 for all you can eat and i still left hungry. So to me it was super pricey. You are given a choice of broth to cook your food in and I picked the beef broth to play it safe. I tried my friends, she got the spicy one and I preferred that one better. Then we chose 3 meats for the table, they only bring you three meats at a time max. We got 1,5 and the chicken. You then go over to the food bar area to pick out your veggies, noodles and sauces. Again because I didn't really know a lot of the items there I only came out with a few things. Then came the actual cooking part- which was a bit overwhelming since we weren't really explained the hot pot buttons to control the temps. I pretty much left my food in there too long that my food came out super soggy and with no flavor. Again I wish I would've known what sauces to maybe add to help with the flavoring. Overall it was a big mess and it wasn't even good. FYI-For any meat that is left they will charge you extra. I know ppl really like this style of dining but I can't say I'm a fan of it. A very busy AYCE shabu restaurant! Me and 6 other peoples in our group waited over an hour to be seated! Well, it was worth the wait. I just wish they have a better waiting room seats. The table was kinda tight, u have to sucked in your tummy to walk in between other people chairs. Ughhh I hate that! At least was seated close to the buffet area. They have variety of veggies and seafood, which wasn't bad. They are bout the same as Shabro (Spoon) Shabu. But I think the other place is better. Service was okie, we have like 3 different waitress/waiter which got too busy running around. I waited too long for my orders of the meat, I got full already. This place consider to be okie! Honestly, this place is really good. Don't let the reviews about poor service fool you about how good the food is here. In fact, in many Asian restaurants, having subpar waitstaff is actually a prerequisite for deliciousness. However, during my visit here, I had no issues with the service! Everyone was attentive and refilled our meat supply at an appropriate pace. The food itself was delicious! There are plenty of options to choose from, with plenty of aromatics to flavor the broth. The broth itself is kinda bland to start with, and this seems to be a universal thing across all of the flavors (I went with a group, and sampled each other's soups). However, I don't necessary think this is a bad thing, because as it boils down and reduces, it'll become more salty and flavor concentrated. I think if it started at a good amount of salinity, by the middle of your meal, it would be too salty to enjoy. The meats themselves were delicious; we really enjoyed the angus beef belly and the prime beef brisket. However, if I were to be honest, most of the meats taste similar enough that if you enjoy one, you will probably enjoy all of the rest of it. I think the sauce selection is pretty good as well. They gave us a bunch of options to start with, and you can mix and match the flavor combination you like; you don't have to be tied down to just one flavor. Overall, I think this is a great introduction to the world of shabu. I definitely recommend going during lunch where the prices are cheaper, and the meat cuts are essentially the same. First place of 2022! I do think overall it is a pretty decent place to eat, but there were some drawbacks that there. Atmosphere/Set up - 3.5/5 - Ever been to a place like this before? The process: 1. Pick your soup base (your table has a built-in stove). Basically regular or spicy. 2. Pick your meats (3 different types at a time). At this place, you can only select up to 3....and it is for your entire group. It is AYCE, but everyone needs to agree on the meats. KEEP IN MIND. They do not come around often, even if you press the SERVICE BUTTON. My fun tip below. 3. Head to the bar to get other items (fish balls, veggies, sauces, etc.) 4. Sit and enjoy. Staff - 3/5 - They do not come around often. I was so thirsty at one point, that I had to find someone. Food - 3.5/5 - They have a large selection of meats, but you are boiling it, so all of it tastes pretty much the same. I always enjoy the Shabu bar as I really enjoy the mushrooms, fish and lobster balls, tofu and bok choy. They have some pretty good dipping sauces too. TIP - When you press the service button, it still takes them a loooong time to reach out. Therefore, right when you get your meats, have everyone place their meat into your pot, and then press the button right away. That way, you can order more meats quickly. Besides, it will take them time after you press the button, plus you will eat the 3-4 bites of the meat quickly anyway. Overall, I think this place is fine if you have a smaller group. We had a group of 6 (plus 2 kids), and I think that is too much for this place. Would I eat here again? I will read some future reviews, and it will help determine if I should go back again. Manna BBQ is the latest addition to Manna Village and is what I would consider the BBQ version of Manna Shabu. Price: Lunch - $18.99, Dinner - $28.99, cheaper prices for kids 10 and under Basic rules are max order of 3 meats per order, unlimited meat and sides, you have to ask for rice, the steam egg and soups aren't brought out automatically you have to order them off the sides. All the meats we had were really good quality. My favorites off the dinner menu are #1 (angus short ribs, galbi), #3 (beef brisket), and #6 (rib finger meat). The squid and shrimp were pretty decent also. There is an abundance of side dishes and the service was good. Over all I feel Manna BBQ is a nice new addition to the all ready heavily populated AYCE KBBQ in Carrollton. It's notably only slightly more expensive than surrounding KBBQs, but for the amount of options and quality of meats definitely work checking out at least once. read more

My boyfriend and I come to this location about once a month and we normally love it. Food is good and service is fast, but tonight was a huge disappointment. We came in at 8 when the business closes at 10 and has a 2 hour limit. We were ignored and sat for a while without any more meat brought. I wanted more sides and got up to get them, but even before 9 they were putting everything away. Shortly after a woman came up and said they'd be closing the salad bar and kitchen. I said "I thought you close at 10?" she said yes but the kitchen closes at 9. They proceeded to watch us and clear every dish they could til we finally left at 9:30. Very disappointed. The place wasn't busy at all, but the service was so slow and they all acted like they didn't want to work or it was a hassle to deal with us.
