I like how this place is open late. I'm actually shocked at how busy it was at 10 pm. People were playing boards games and some were studying or working. This atmosphere seems like a late night spot to hang with friends. We wanted some bingsoo so we got the green tea bingsoo. It's good but it gets heavy after a while so you gotta down it with water. I would like more condensed milk or if they can add that extra. I think I would have tried the mango bingsoo next time since that's seem more summery and light. There were plenty of seating. I just don't like how dark it is.

Been craving bingsoo for awhile and figured to swing by since I was in the neighborhood. Got there around 7PM on a Saturday night and was able to order immediately. I went with a small mango bingsoo and to my surprise, they add an assortment of toppings included in the base price. There were mango bite side pieces, mochi, crunchy cereal (along the lines of frosted flakes) and topped with mango ice cream. Upon my first bite, I was in awe by the variety of textures from the toppings. As I took additional bites, this awe faded as there was too much going on texture wise and not enough balance to enjoy the bingsoo. Flavor wise, it was good especially when combo-ed with the ice cream but it became clear mid way through that the bingsoo was not the star of the show but moreso the overwhelming amount of toppings. It didn't help that the ratio of bingsoo to toppings was off so around midway point, you're left with a bunch of toppings (with the cereal being the biggest detriment) and little to no shaved ice. Besides bingsoo, they also have a bunch of bakery items and drinks. Lots of seating available if you wanted a place to hang out with friends or get some productivity done. Really wanted to love the bingsoo and as much as I commend the unique-ness of toppings and the actual taste of the shaved ice, the overall product was just average for me.

this place consisted varieties of pastries, drinks and bingsoo. I specifically came here to try the bingsoo after reading the reviews and being recommended of this location. They have variety of sizes that you can select from small, medium and large. The small starting price was at a dollars and a large was about $18. I offer a small to share with a friend as we were not super hungry and I thought this was the perfect portion to share. We ordered the mango flavor bingsoo it came with little along with slices of mango. I thought the syrup was super good! This was a little bit on the side for but overall it was not too bad. Definitely would've returned to try the other flavors that they have along with some of their pastries and drinks as they all look very good. There is parking outside, but it is a little bit limited due to the various surrounding stores that share the small parking lot.

Manoa's bingsoo is the only one I like to get in NOVA. Their ice is shaved so finely it looks like coconut shavings and they never melt even in the heat of the summer. I love all the toppings they include (mochi, corn flakes, flavored condensed milk, and ice cream). I know before they used to layer the toppings with the ice, but I still think that there's a good enough amount. They have so many bakery items inside and I like their outdoor seating as well. I've ordered some food too and it seems like they make everything to order which I appreciate. It's a nice place to go study, meet with friends, or go to for dessert after some KBBQ.

This post is for my friend who wishes for more people to go to this bakery in Annandale. It's our favorite bingsoo place in the area because the ice is shaved to snow consistency rather than the snowcone style ice. We got the soybean at the medium size and it was delicious. There's 3 sizes you can choose from and a good variety of flavors on top of the range of bakery goods. If people ask for a dessert or bingsoo place in the DMV, this is where I recommend for them to go.

I honestly have passed through this place so many times while driving I am surprised I did not review it sooner. Manoa is another Korean-owned bakery in Annandale that has many pastries, drinks, cakes, and space to sit down inside and outside. If there's one big plus for me, it's always finding a place to sit down. In my experience of going to many cafes, some are always packed depending on the time you go and it's awkward when you are just standing there with your drink and pastry/dessert waiting for a table to open up. I am so glad that this place is big enough for a vast majority of people who do come in for a quick bite to have a place somewhere to sit. There's a lot of fresh items that's out on display. I didn't get too much because I came here for a small coffee break and wanted something light. If you do come here, there's a lot of options if you have a sweet tooth. For me, I just got the Cold Brew Coffee and Red Bean Donut. The cold brew, black coffee with just ice in it. It was good for the price and it was refreshing. I normally opt for hot coffee but it was so late in the afternoon and mildly hot outside that it'd be better to get something colder. The red bean donut was great too. It was sweet but not overpowering. I really enjoyed that each bite was filled with a bit of red bean followed by the soft fluffy chew of sugar and dough mixed. It was honestly just what I was craving for. I think if there's one thing to note, the parking lot is small and if you were to go during peak hours ( like mid-late evening ), chances are you may have to loop around to find parking. I was fortunate to go at a time that there was no one there but it may be a different experience for others. Check out this place if you're in the area.

Still one of my favorite cafes ever! I keep coming back for their delicious bingsoo - the shaved ice is smooth and their ice creams are smooth and decadent. They have lots of yummy bingsoo flavors to choose from, but my favorites are the mango and green tea! Such an underrated cafe - check it out!

Strawberry Mango Bingsoo ($8.99 for a cup)

Manoa is a cute little Korean-owned bakery in Annandale, with a plethora of baked goods ranging from your traditional French pastries to fun, modern Korean takes on more traditional French patisserie. Upon entering the cafe, there's dozens of different single-serve items to try, including red bean buns and castella cakes, to name a few, with exotic flavors like matcha and black sesame. In the refrigerated pastry case, there's a wide variety of cakes (such as traditional layered cream cakes, tiramisu, etc.), cheesecake, and more, and if that's not enough, they have menus with lunch fare (think sandwiches), bingsoo (Korean shaved ice), and specialty drinks displayed up on TVs above the counter. At 9pm on a Saturday night, the place was quietly buzzy, and we ordered a Strawberry Bingsoo ($8.99 for a cup size) to split amongst 4 people (we weren't very hungry). The lady taking our order was quite nice, and put up with our Americanized Korean (they speak both Korean and English here!). Our bingsoo was ready in less than five minutes, which was nice! The cup portion is fairly small for the price, but like I mentioned above, we weren't that hungry. The ice itself is nice in that it's an almost snow-like consistency, as opposed to large chunks of ice, and it isn't too sweet, which is perfect for the base. The tart sweetness of the mangos and strawberries contrasts nicely with the richness of the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and everything is lightly drizzled in condensed milk, adding to the decadence of the dessert, as well as a fruit-flavored syrup, which lends a further acidity. The small pieces of mochi add a nice chewy texture, though we wished there was more of a crunchy element to the dish. Overall, this was a refreshing, light dessert that we thoroughly enjoyed! Manoa has a great variety of desserts that take some of the best of both worlds in terms of French and Korean cuisine - however, we just wish that the price was a bit cheaper (especially since there's so much competition in the area) - a great place for a sweet treat!

A great spot to hide and chat that is seemingly invisible in plain sight on a busy main road. The internal atmosphere is not at all what one would expect from the appearance of the exterior. The desserts are neither too sweet nor not sweet enough, but some lack the flavors, complexity, or distinctiveness to adequately satisfy more refined tastes. Some desserts are immediately recognizable, and others yet incorporate various creative elements. As of yet, I have not encountered anything I am outright dissatisfied with; and that, on its own merits, deserves mention. I will say, for how pedestrian the presentation, complexity, and ingredients were of some of the dishes, however, the prices did not seem to be commensurate. Definitely get the sweet potato walnut manju. It is my favorite item thus far.

I had a late night craving for bingsoo so my husband and I decided to drive all the way to Annandale from MD to get some. I had no regrets because the green tea bingsoo is sooo good!!! We got the medium size which was great for sharing. It was the perfect late night dessert. We also tried their melon bread which was sooo big and fluffy. I highly recommend you try it!!

Opened on June 4, 2015, this was the third Korean bakery opened in Annandale after Shilla bakery (opened in 1999) and Breeze bakery (opened in 2010). My wife and I visited on a Sunday. They had a good variety of pre-made vendor food and store made food. A few were unique to this shop. We tried 7 items. 1) Twisted Donut It was a soft, moist, and slightly stretchy breadlike donut. It had mild flavors of sugar and vanilla. It was decent tasting but not special. 2) Red Bean Bread A bun with lots of red bean paste filling. The filling was slightly sweet and smooth with a moderate red bean flavor. The bun was soft and thin with a hint of sweetness and a good toasted flavor. A great vendor product with the lowest price amongst the 4 Korean bakeries. 3) Manoa Chicken Sub It had chicken, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onlons, mayonnaise, and red chile powder in a soft sub roll. The chicken chunks were warmed, moist, and tender with a savory seasoning. A good tasting sub with nicely balanced flavors and a mild spiciness. It came with a choice of fries or salad. We chose a salad. The side salad had lettuce, tomato, and red onion with Italian dressing. There's no other choice of dressing. The ingredients were fresh. Good dressing, otherwise typical. 4) Black Sesame Bingsoo (small size) It had finely shaved ice, mini white mochi, corn flakes, vanilla ice cream, black sesame powder, and condensed milk. Unfortunately, the ice tasted like plain water. It could have been skim milk. It had no flavor. The bottom half of the bingsoo was ice, so flavors lost strength when it was mixed. It kept the bingsoo cold. The mini mochi cubes tasted like glutinous rice. Condensed milk was drizzled over the ice cream. They added richness to this dish. Black Sesame powder was layered under the ice cream. It added a roasted nut flavor to the ice cream. Mixing everything together created creamy ice milk with a roasted nut vanilla flavor. The mochi and corn flakes gave it texture and a little more flavor. We found it surprisingly enjoyable. 5) White Bean Doughnut It was deep-fried and had lots of white bean filling. The filling had a moderate white bean flavor and modest sweetness. The dough was thin, slightly oily, and breadlike. This pastry was unexpectedly tasty and better than average in flavor. 6) Mango Roll Cake Much like a jelly roll cake in shape only. The cake was dense, moist, and soft. It had a slightly sweet mango flavor. The cream filling was a stiff pastry cream with the flavor of sweetened condensed milk. This was better than other bakeries' roll cakes. The flavor wasn't too light. It had the right amount of sweetness, and the texture was more like a pound cake instead of bread. 7) Oreo Cream Bread It had a cocoa flavored bun filled with mocha pastry cream. There were Oreo chocolate cookie crumbs sprinkled in the cream and all over the bun. It was moist and soft with moderate flavors reminiscent of an Oreo cookie. It was delicious. The service was friendly, polite, helpful, and quick. The dining areas and restrooms were clean. The restrooms looked old. They had 16 indoor tables, and it wasn't crowded. The dining areas were more spacious than Tous les Jours. They had 5 tables with chairs outdoors. They're located in Annandale Plaza, which has a free parking lot. They have hot and cold coffee drinks, hot and cold teas, smoothies, milk teas, breakfast sandwiches, sub sandwiches, bingsoo, cookies, cakes, etc. The food ranged from average to very good, and some exceeded my expectations. I gladly recommend a visit.

Nice coffee shop with a variety of Korean cookies and pastries. There are also cakes ( to purchase or to order). Some Korean deserts that I couldn't figure out. Large selection of coffee and Korean hot tea. We tried mini eclairs that were quite good and a slice of a cheesecake that was quite good but was missing some sort of a topping - either a dollop of cream or , better, berries. Very clean, friendly service, lounge music, comfortable chairs. Great place to meet up with a friend for a cup of coffee & a chat

The bingsoo here is delicious and perfect for a hot day! Their small is big enough for two to split and very reasonably priced. The cornflakes and mochi in it made for a great combination of textures, and I loved how the black sesame tasted with the shaved milk and ice cream. The baked goods here were also delicious, especially the white bean donut. There was a huge selection of baked goods and service was very fast and friendly. There is plenty of seating. The location is a bit hidden, but I definitely recommend giving it a try! I'll be back for more of their bingsoo and buns.

I love the pastries here. So many varieties. If you go early you can some of the croquettes. Their cakes are super delicious. Not too sweet. Coffee is a bit mild and they have a variety of teas too. Service is great as usual. The staff is very responsive and the customer area is always kept very clean (which I personally like). I used to really like coming here for their breads and bingsoo. However, the last few times I have gone the bingsoo does not hit the same. It's no longer as soft and snow-like as it used to be. The bingsoo had a very "icy" texture. Overall, I would come back only for the breads, cakes, and pastries. read more

I'm easily enchanted by bakery cafes like this, but I think this might have been top two I have ever been to! Mainly bc the selection on their grab-n-go pastry rack all looked really delicious!! I love when shops level up their flavors, and I think Manoa really rocked it :) So, I ordered coffee bingsoo in the cup size (the smaller size) and I picked a sausage bread off the rack, which my boyfriend and I both split. Then, I definitely had to grab a couple more pastries to take home to the family! My only complaint was that the cup the bingsoo came in made it a little hard to mix the sweet toppings with the ice underneath. I wish it came in the more traditional bowl container so that would have been easier! But it didn't ruin the experience for me at all. Everything was delicious, and it was a wonderful start to our foodie day. The lengthy hours, the size of the cafe, and the chill ambience make it a perfect spot for study or work meetings. The prices are really great too. Definitely recommend! read more

It was a cute little coffee place. I got double espresso shot with Strawberry Bingsoo and IMO wasn't a fan. It tasted mostly like ice cream and didn't have that Bingsoo texture/taste. Besides this little hiccup, overall it was an okay place. read more

I have only been here once so far, but this is a nice coffee shop and bakery with comfortable seating, as well as a good selection of desserts and some bubble teas. Their cappuccino is good too. As far as I could see, the only thing missing is a recycling bin for recyclable items. Other than that, all else was good. read more

Update December 2019 This place still accepts cash and credit card. Tons of free parking around the establishment. Great spot o hang out on weekends. We decided to try their bingsu (shaved ice) this time. We ordered their mango shaved ice and their matcha green tea shaved ice. They both come out in these large bowls. I highly recommend asking for less condensed milk as it helps reduce the sugar / sweetness level. The mango version comes with real chunks of mango which is a nice touch. On the bottom, you will find Mochi and some corn flakes which adds a nice chewy / crunch to your bite. It also comes with a scoop of mango ice cream on top. The green tea version was a bit more bitter, but I think I liked this one the most. There is a scoop of green tea on top which is a nice touch. These shaved ice is best when sharing amongst with others. Recommend 2/3 people per bingsu. They also sell tons of bakery items. Highly recommend their chocolate croissant as they bake chocolate not only on top of the pastry, but a good amount is found inside the pastry. Must try! The staff here are extremely friendly and their prices are fair. They also ha e free WiFi if you want to come here for food and studying. Tons of tables inside the store, but can be crowded during weekend especially on weekends. On Saturdays, the open until midnight. read more

VERY GOOD bakery in Annandale, VA. The best and most elaborate cakes and tortes were at the far end: but items I bought that were pre-wrapped were delectable, fresh and delicious! The lemon bread puddings, were smooth, soft, mouth-wateringly puffy and filled with grandiose lemon custard, tasty, slightly bitter and DIVINE. The white chocolate macadamia, my girl bought were also equally delicious: large macadamia chunks the size of your finger tip - balanced with crunch, crumble, a tad sweet and a tad buttery. Somehow the displays could have been filled a bit more - there was plenty of space.. Empty spaces showed where the morning baked goods had sold out and not been replaced by fresh items. We only discovered this place off the road and stopped by for an afternoon coffee/cruller break. There are tables and seats. Went for breakfast and some baked goods while in the area. The ham & egg sandwich is AMAZING!!! Idk what they do to their bread but everything is so good, definitely stop by and treat yourself! Also the establishment is very clean and the employee working that morning was wonderful. read more

Have passed this place for years and never thought to stop and check things out until this past weekend. I'm so glad I did. They have so many amazing products, pastries, cookies, cakes, coffee products which will make your head spin. The people are so helpful and willing to take the time to explain the different types of pastries and or cakes they have on hand. They also have a small area you can enjoy your coffee and cake. read more

The bingsoo here is solid! Avoid the crowds at Breeze and come here for a cute patio experience. The Black Sesame bingsoo is unique and the balance of the black sesame flavor with the ice cream melting on top is heavenly. Definitely check this place out and buy a pastry or two for a great dessert experience. Docking a star because it does get a bit pricey. I think it should be a $2-3 cheaper with options to add toppings for extra. read more

this is such a fun spot!! I love the low lighting, lofi beats and pick your own pastries. Lots of seating and great selection of coffee/tea and lunch. It's simple, affordable, and delicious. Every friend that visits the area, I always pop in so they can try a bunch of buns for a great price. I've truly never had a bad experience, the employees have always been great :) read more

My favorite things here are the Mango Bingsoo and the Matcha Bingsoo. I've also taken it to-go and it was a nice treat to have at home while I was pregnant and not wanting to be out and about. Seating here is plentiful and spacious. It's a nice place to hang out and chill with some friends while sharing one. There is outdoor seating, but it's right by the busy Little River Turnpike so it wasn't appealing to me to sit out there. The indoor space is better than Shilla across the street which can get too crowded because the tables are all packed together. I have only had Manoa's bingsoo and baked goods so I can't speak to the other items they sell, but my friends have ordered sandwiches and lattes here as well which is nice if you want something other than dessert. The baked goods are pretty much the same as the other Korean bakeries in the Annandale area but they do tend to mostly have sweets vs savory. TLDR: try the matcha or mango bing soo! read more

I like this place bc they have single serving bingsoo. Other places only have the huge size which I can't finish by myself. Why can't all other cafes make single serving sizes?? There are so many Korean bakeries in the northern Virginia area now. Manoa has been a staple for a long time. They have a good variety of pastries, but also have some unique ones that set it apart from other bakeries. Their coffee is also better than most Korean bakeries. Recently, tried their Americano (5/5) and Mocha latte with almond milk (5/5). It's kind of crazy to say, but finding a good black coffee has been difficult to find! Manoa definitely delivered on that front. read more

Came here to try out their bingsoo. Got their cup of mango bingsoo for 8 bucks. The shaved ice was made of sweetened condensed milk typical of bingsoo. I just wished mango fruit on the bingsoo was more ripe - it was a little on the sour side. Other than that, it was delish. Being a bakery, they had a pretty huge selection of breads such as mocha cream bread, custard cream bread, potato cake just to name a few. I love this bakery. They have delicious baked goods, intricately and beautifully designed cakes, and lower prices than other bakeries. It's nice inside too. I love their donuts and sweet breads. I haven't tried their drinks but my family loves them. They have samples if you want to try anything before purchasing them. I don't recommend the chips or whatever it is that has sesame seeds and is crunchy, but everything else in the samples was delicious. They also serve sandwiches, salads, bingsoo, coffee, and tapioca drinks. I'll have to come back and try one of each. I absolutely love this place. I always stay coming back. This place was delicious and I always try to make it a point to get dessert here. I came here to try out their bingsoo (which is fantastic) but I ended up being surprised by their smoothies! The mango smoothie was the freshest I ever tasted with some actual fruit pieces/chunks in them to swallow up with the boba sized straws! Not as good as ordering from Southeast Asia but definently close and at a great ripeness. It's uncommon to find drink shops that serve mango smoothies straight from the fruit and not juice extract, so this will definently be my go-to spot for them. The mango fruit pieces I got in the bingsoo also tasted similarly to the smoothie, but on the sweeter side and colder. I'd likely go with one or the other instead of doubling up. For the bakery goods, lots of variety to choose from and just as tasty. I particularly like that this Cafe has tons of seating areas and a little fridgerator section for pre-made teas/juices or bottled drinks to go with the snacks you get. Bingsoo - black sesame & strawberry were good, but there was a lack of condensed milk so it felt like so you would get spoonfuls of just ice without a lot of flavor when you run out of black sesame/condensed milk to pair it with could've done with a bit more. The coffee bingsoo seemed to have a good amount of condensed milk though! Same with the mango (although the mango pieces taste like canned mango) Sandwich were quite good, fresh, nicely toasted, and the fries remind me of the fries I had in my high school cafeteria. I love the iced mochas. My favorite drink here (though I haven't tried many of the other options). The cakes come in a lot of varieties, though the chocolate mousse is one of my favorite options. The employees are really friendly and have a positive energy to them, which you really appreciate. (Negativity can totally kill the experience). I'm sitting in the cafe right now because I couldn't wait to write a review, lol. GOODNESS WOW, this place is cute and delicious!! A cafe full of asian baked goods, desserts, savory foods, and coffee-- an absolute dream. And it's awesome that it closes at midnight (reminds me of all the asian dessert spots in SoCal). I ordered a variety of pastries and the golden (soybean) bingsoo. I've never had soybean bingsoo before, so this was a first for me. The flavor was SO good, light, and refreshing! I got the cup size thinking it would be smaller, but it's actually big enough for 2 people to share. Their large size (after seeing other people get it) is veeeery big-- I think it can be shared between 4 people. My favorite cafe in the Annandale area. I've been coming here for years, but with their new furniture and pastry layout, I thought I'd finally review them! They have a wide selection of drinks from smoothies to lattes, great bingsoo that now comes in 2 sizes, and delicious sandwiches and pastries. I especially love visiting early for a breakfast sandwich/coffee combo at a very reasonable price. My only wish is that they stay open a little later in the summertime! read more

I've tried most, if not all of the bingsoo places in the area and Manoa Bakery takes the cake (haha, get it?). Their shave ice is so fine and topped with really quality fruit, ice cream/gelato, and mochi balls that are just superior to the other bingsoo I have tried here. I've tried 3 of the 9 flavors they offer and usually opt for the bowl size ($10) instead of the cup size ($8). I would say the bowl can feed like 3+ people, so my group of friends (5-6 people) usually order two bowls to share. Flavors: - Mango Bingsoo - Mango is my favorite flavor here because it comes with many chunks of fresh, ripe mango. Not like the fake canned stuff or the unripe, unsweet stuff either. It also has a big scoop of mango ice cream (or gelato idk which), mochi balls, corn cereal, and mango syrup. - Injeolmi Bingsoo - Classic soybean powder shave ice with mochi balls, condensed milk, and regular ice cream on top. I forgot if there is red bean in it. It's not as sweet as the fruit one, which is nice at times. - Green tea Bingsoo - Solid option with green tea powder in the layers of snow, topped with green tea ice cream, mochi, cereal, and condensed milk. All the bingsoo are really good and a large portion, so you can't really go wrong! During covid now though, they only let you do takeout for the bowl size of bingsoo and if you order a cup bingsoo, you can't share it. They do have limited seating inside and outside right now though. I haven't tried the pastries, coffee, cakes, or other desserts here yet, but they all look delicious! Will definitely keep coming back for the delicious bingsoo! read more

Stopped here to get some bingsoo. Got injeolmee and green tea. Wow they were WAYYY too sweet. It tasted like literally just sugar, it was so bad. Had 2 bites and couldn't eat any more. It was just full of mochi and condensed milk. This is NOT the typical Korean bingsoo. I would not recommend it. Also ordered an americano, which was bad. Will not be returning here read more

Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't recommend this place enough -- especially knowing they're part of our local community. I've walked past this gem so many times without realizing what I was missing! It's tucked away in the Home Depot parking lot on Little River Turnpike, so don't sleep on it. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the entire menu.

I had the lunch chicken fajitas as these are not available at most GAR. It was all protein and onions. No bell peppers and I was so glad. The flour tortillas are so fresh. One of the things that makes them stand out is the creative blend of ingredients and flavours that most other bakeries don't have. And they have classic offerings that are hard to find elsewhere, such as the banan cream bun which now apparently has slices of real bananas in addition to the already outstanding banana cream filling. Service is always friendly and courteous, and the fact that this is not a big chain of stores adds more credibility in my book. I hope they stay open for many more years.

Cakes are not too sweet, and it is a good price. Good place to stop by. I think they have a little table and chair for like two people, but most people grab and go.

Manoa is a Korean bakery/cafe in Annandale and one of the best places to get bingsoo, a frozen ice dessert. It also has a lot of great Korean bread/pastry, and a wide selection of coffee and smoothies and other items. The cafe itself is spacious and home-y. You can pick up bread/pastry on the display place in the middle of the shop and then take it to the counter to pay for. Other items, like bingsoo, can be ordered at the counter. The employees here are really kind and helpful too! Anyways, the bingsoo here is amazing. There are two sizes, a normal and a large. The normal size is good for 2-3 people whereas the large is good for 4-6 people (depending on how much people want) to eat. Of the various types here, I find the gold to be the best. It has delicate shaved ice (made of milk), rice cakes (mochi/dduk), cornflakes, condensed milk, and injulmi powder (a powder of various types of grains). The ice is literally like snow and the rice cakes are large and chewy and perfect. It's not overly sweet either. One thing to note however is that red bean is not included (other places have similar bingsoos with red bean). The red bean is extra but to be honest, I find the gold bingsoo really good without it. The bread and pastries here are good as well. One of the highlights here is a sweet milk red bean bread (I think that's what it's called). Overall, this is a nice cafe and one that I constantly find myself going back to whenever I'm in the area. Good times! read more

Manoa has hands down THE BEST BINGSOO I used to come here when it was Le Matin de Paris and I was a bit sad when they closed because it was my go to place to study. But...Manoa is definitely the 2.0 updated version. The interior is clean, well lit, and very cute. They added more seating along the window, but they don't have as many outlets, so make sure to have your laptops charged if you want to study. It is a little pricey compared to the other Korean bakeries, but definitely worth it since the Bingsoo is HUGE. I ordered it with a friend and we still couldn't finish it. I also love their Iced Black Tea Latte...it's not too sweet or bitter. I will definitely be coming back! read more

This place just opened up. I went there to try out their cheesecake snowflake Bingsoo. It is shaved frozen milk and tastes a lot better than regular ice shaved. It is a little bit more expensive compare to other Korean American Bakery stores, but it has a huge portion and does worth it. I shared one bingsoo with 2 other friends, but we couldn't finish it. They told me that cheesecake was also homemade and tasted great. From now on, Manoa Bakery is my favorite cafe in Annandale. read more

If I could give them a zero star I would holy moly I came at 7:15 am and on google it says it's open from 7 am. I see the lights are on inside but the door is locked. That could happen... I get it, so I wait till someone comes out of the kitchen (it's 20 degrees outside). Finally someone comes out and they see me and they just laugh at me and don't come open the door. I was there for their grand opening service yesterday. I was very excited and kind of skeptical to try another new Korean bakery in the area. But, wow, everything they had was beyond my expectation! Try their mango smoothie! it's the best mango smoothie I've ever tasted. & Baristas on the bar were very fast and assiduous in making beverages! Also, I personally liked Garlic Baguette. The baked goods itself are a little cheaper than other Korean bakeries in the area, but the coffee is a tiny bit more expensive than Shilla. I love there oreo buttercream. Won't say this one is the best on Bakeries, Cakes, Sandwiches, coffees nor anything else but will probably give second best title on almost everything.
