We had a large enough group (in town for a friend's birthday) and we booked the private dining area towards the back of the restaurant. To our surprise and delight, the private space also had a Bluetooth speaker for us to set our own vibe! And we had a BLAST!! The food: divine. The wine pairings: superb. Bartenders/waiters: vibing with us. Dessert: outstanding. We had not a single complaint here! We ended up staying until the restaurant closed and we probably could've kept going. The only reason this was not five stars is they could not accommodate a gluten allergy. When making a reservation, you are able to note your allergies which I did. This is not only my favorite steak house in the Valley, and one of my favorite restaurants, but a really well-run business. We woke up on Christmas Eve with a sick child. I called in to learn about our options and the restaurant immediately offered to cancel for us and eat our 7 top. Unbelievable. My friends and I were visiting Scottsdale for a long weekend. We chose Maple & Ash for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was a 10/10. The head waiter and his staff couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. The atmosphere, decor, setup, and live DJ during our meal just added to the overall great experience. Everyone loved their meals and drinks. I got the lobster avocado toast and it was awesome. I would recommend the smoked paloma's. Keely, made me aware that I wasn't dressed appropriately (I do not recommend dressing in club attire) BUT instead of turning me away, gave me a shawl to cover myself while in the restaurant. The bone marrow and carpaccio were good but definitely not the best I've had. I felt like the carpaccio had too many buttery flavors going on. And the bone marrow was a little bland. Again, it wasn't bad... just not the best. I hate to say this but my husband and I did become very sick the next morning. Maple and ash was the last thing we ate before going to bed. We were a group of 5. 3 out of the 5 of us ordered steak, my steak and my friends were both undercooked. I didn't make a big deal, I was probably gonna take most to go since it was late, my friend did send his back to correct the temperature. Pasta dishes are on the smaller side but very delicious( pillows of love) is what I tried. Definitely a side not a main dish. Mac and cheese was delicious and so where the Brussels sprouts. It was our first time in and we felt very welcomed and just acknowledged that we were in the building upon walking in. We had Reservations set up so it was as simple as follow me to your table. The atmosphere is lively and not in a bad way, you can tell people around you are having a good time and enjoying the food and wonderful drinks. We have been to Maple and Ash several times and it seems since COVID the quality of the food has changed as well as the menu and prices. My steak was over charred and the drinks were not filled to the top. I had them bag up my left overs and they only packed the steak and tossed the rest. I also noticed a disclaimer on their site Staff Benefits We love our staff. To help cover health insurance, benefits and lifestyle incentives we are adding a 3.5% staff benefit charge for all transactions paid with a credit card. I went here for my birthday back in January. Obviously had to get the birthday menu. Sides and drinks were amazing but the steak was below average. My fiancé has a ranch so we have great steak all the time, but I'm not kidding. I couldn't finish even a quarter of the steak. It was tastless. I should've sent it back but I didn't. I went with a friend and we didn't make reservations, it was a Sunday evening and they were somewhat busy, more steady than busy. I was surprised that they explained my friend and I couldn't sit without a reservation because the tables that were empty would be to seat reserved guests. This is the second time I've been to Maple & Ash. The first time was absolutely amazing. This time, I made a reservation for my anniversary with my husband. They messaged me for confirmation and asked what type of anniversary and what my spouse's name was. We got to the venue and they didn't even mention anything about our anniversary. No big deal - I just figured, why ask and then not even mention it. Then we got our food. The oysters were delicious! It was a plus that it happened to be happy hour also. My husband wasn't pleased with the way they cooked his bone-in filet mignon, though. They took it back to recook it. It was a little disappointing since my first experience was amazing. BUT.... Kenny who I believe was the manager made up for all of it. The second server who helped us was in constant communication with him about our experience and he came over, apologized and provided us with a gift card to return and hopefully make up for the experience. In addition, they didn't charge us for my husband's dinner, gave us a coconut cream desert (which was absolutely decadent) and then he came over with a Happy Anniversary sign for my husband and I. I can't tell you how it really turned everything around! That is 5 star service. It was very unexpected and we appreciate it so much. We had reservations for 8 at 930 but of course people arrive at different times but you need at least five people for your large party to be seated. After everyone arrived (ended up only being 6) they took about ten min to assemble a couple of tables for us. The whole scene was dungeon like, dimly lit with candles and sexual art. Tommy was our enthusiastic server, he brought us a refreshing alcholoc spritzer to drink but I didn't partake as I don't drink. We were on a short time constraint and they were able to serve us quickly. I had the octopus and buttered, whipped potatoes...the butter was excessive but they were still delicious.
