I came here with my sister early Sunday morning. We originally wanted to go to Stacked but the wait was too long. Yelp to the rescue! We found this place and decided to try it because it had excellent reviews. We were seated right away and the food was delicious. I wish I didn't have such a terrible experience here, because their menu is great and I think they have potential, but I will never go back. It started on the phone when I placed my order for pick up. I had to repeat myself 3 or 4 times. Then, the person I spoke with (which was the manager of the restaurant) tells me it will be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes and stood by myself waiting for my order to be done for 40 MINUTES. I was told it would be "a few minutes" when I arrived. Nowhere to sit, very hungry, and getting more and more annoyed as time went on. The manager came out and asked me how I wanted my eggs done when I had already been standing around for 25 minutes. When my food was finally done, all I got was a "thanks for your patience" and no type of discount on my already overpriced order. When I got home, both my order and my boyfriends order were missing something. I paid $2 extra for avocado and there was none. His didn't have the cheese we paid for and it had green peppers we never asked for. I work in customer service, and at this point I firmly believe that all of this was enough to deserve a full refund on my order. I called back, and the manager proceeded to argue with me and make me feel like I was asking A LOT for a refund. He gave me half and said he didn't want me to be mad at him. No, I'm not gonna waste another hour coming back so you can fix my order. And I don't care if one of your employees don't show up this morning. DO NOT tell me my food will be done in 15 minutes if it's going to take an hour, and then screw up my entire order. There was literally not a single good thing about this experience and I was fuming by the time it was all over. read more

Funny, helpful and just an all around joy) Since trying this place out with coworkers after a Saturday morning meeting I have slowly brought some of my family over on in to try it out! I found this spot via Yelp. I've been here a couple of times now. The staff is friendly for the most part and the food is delicious. The wait can be a bit long, specially on the weekends, but I expect a place like this to have a waiting period. The cons= the staff makes you feel like you have to hurry up and leave after you take the last bite of your food, even if you're still drinking your coffee. I understand that they are busy and want to clear tables to accommodate the people that are waiting, but I wasn't there too long to begin with (both times this has happened). The parking lot is also very small and like I said, it gets packed so be patient. Tip: go early during the week. read more

HUGE FAN OF THIS PLACE!!! My family and I favorite waitress is May. She is very friendly and caring. This restaurant is our favorite place to eat breakfast/bunch. We used to eat at stacked. But this restaurant is honestly better then staked. The waitresses and staff members at Maple N Jams are friendly and caring then at staked. OMG....I was served the most disgusting omelette ever! The House Omelette had a very sour flavor. The omelette was soggy and very watery. Do not order omelettes from this place! I wouldn't eat here again if my meal was free. The wife had the eggs benedict...very average...nothing special. This place is the run of the mill greek family restaurant. The best part of the meal was the toast. Coffee is very weak as well. The owner asked me how the meal was...I told him that the omelette was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. This place was a spur of the moment decision. We had initially tried going to the usual (IHOP) but at 12:45 there was an hour long wait! I'm so glad we came here. The place is a small and bright restaurant with a very standard/Greek style diner kind of feel. We were greeted by a very nice and very polite young lady. The staff, although busy had a very nice and welcoming demeanor. We sat and our drinks orders were taken and filled quickly. I ordered a milk shake... It was delicious. They also serve fresh squeezed orange juice and the coffee is not bitter nor scorched. They have a very nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. I had a burger. It was the avocado, cheddar and bacon burger. It was served with a soup of the day, fries and Cole slaw. The fries were crispy and very well seasoned. The burger was cooked properly (medium) the cole slaw tasted very nice and fresh. My only gripe is that the pickle was stale and there was too much avocado on my sandwich. However, it doesn't bother me. It was just a touch annoying that my avocados kept disobeying me and kept making a break for it. My soup: chicken and dumplings. It was a very nice and lovely and pleasant soup. I tried the lemon soup.... It was OKAY. Sorry. I felt like I could still taste the roux and had no hint of lemon. Other than just useless nitpicking this place is fabulous. I still give them five stars. Service was wonderful and accommodating and WARM! Everyone was working so hard, but still stopped to make sure everything was taken care of! Would love to come back when back in town! Pancakes and waffles, you tell them blueberry or strawberry or chocolate chip you will be back to try something else forcing your self not to order the same thing over again. I've been their customer for long time, I buy crepes Saturday's and Sundays, to take out. I spent more less between 40 and 100 dlls every weekend. The food is really good. But they are too busy, even though they know what my order is going to be, they been putting my call in hold for 30 mins, it is ridiculous, and on top of that they hang up on me sometimes. I told my husband Brian, that is time to find another place with better customers service. No hard feelings at all. If you wanna order something for take out, call them with time ahead and if you are going to eat there, be patient, because like I said they are too busy mostly of the time. While visiting the Burbs I stumbled across this gem! Wow! I was really impressed! their food is amazing! Flavorful and done to perfection! Staff is very friendly and quick! I got my order taken in less than 5 min, and my food like in 10! And they were pretty busy! It's definitely a sign when there are so many elderly folks eating the food, it must be Fire! Did I die and go to small town restaurant heaven? I am having home made corned beef hash over a bed of home made potatoes and you can choose to get pancakes rather than toast. They are extremely friendly here. I am sitting at the counter and the staff talks to customers like at a bar. It seems like straight out of a Jimmy Stewart "It's a Wonderful LIfe" movie. It is the day after Christmas and they are still playing old time Christmas music. It is amazing. They are actually having conversations with their customers. And the police are eating here too, which is always a good sign. People are laughing. The staff is even friendly to each other. And they are genuinely concerned if they are not able to meet a customer's request. One of the customers requested a particular type of tea, but they ran out and I saw three of the staff members talk together about how to remedy the situation and how to prevent it from happening again. The food is not haute cuisine like I am accustomed to in San Francisco where I am from, but it is satisfying and it is home made. But I really got a kick out of the small town culture, atmosphere and the real interaction between customers, staff, and customers and staff. It is a nice counterpoint to virtual interactions via smart phones and computers. Apparently, one of the customers likes members of the staff so much, he was giving them Christmas tips. I can easily see how this restaurant would build a following. As I look around the restaurant I see groups of senior citizens and individual senior citizens feeling right at home. They even have a young attractive Hispanic waitress who speaks fluent spanish for the spanish-speaking clientele. It sure beats McDonalds and is a Happy Meal with substance. Maple n jam is a traditional American brunch spot.  The place has 5 tables, 10 booths and a lunch counter which seats 5.  The decor is traditionally America restaurant, no kitch no frills but nice. The coffee I got tasted a bit burnt.  They have a whole old school suger container which is a plus.  The cream is the crapy prepackaged stuff.   I ordered biscuits n gravy, with 2 eggs over easy with a side of sausage Patti.  What I got was 3 links :-(. The biscuits were nice and fluffy and the gravy was super tasty as well medium color and thick with sausage.  This was good stuff and what led to the better parts of this review.  The eggs cam out, over cooked.  Which happens.  The surprising thing is how fast everything came out.  Typically a sign of heavily prepared food.   The sausage was ok but nothing special.   The staff was attentive and accommodating.  I wanted regular cream as opposed to flavored cream.  The owner or manager watches over the place with the care of a local owner.   Overall this place is a way better option than Denny's or other chains.  The bng is worth getting, maybe you will have better luck with your eggs. read more

They have real corn beef brisket that was so tender and juicy I also had there famous "donut" French toast. It was so good and filling. Great food for the family , it gets really busy in the weekend , make sure to go early

My fiance and I wanted breakfast and I was in a rush to get to work. So I called in and asked if I could order and and have the food ready to eat when I got there. They accomodated me and made the food as soon as I got there, which did not take long. The philly skillet was great and so were the pancakes, my fiance got the blueberry pancakes and liked them.
