This little diner in a strip mall has it going on. The food was delicious. We had eggs Benedict, french toast and eggs, corned brisket skillet, and bananas waffle. Everything was tasty and made from scratch. All the egg dishes came with potatoes and toast or pancakes. The waffles were the perfect crisp. Service was very good. A bit crowded and the tables were to small. Coffee was the only thing that wasn't great. Sorry we moved south otherwise id be back. Sorry for the pictures. The menus were tattered with the binding very damaged. The prices were changed by covering the old with white tape. My menu had $16.99 for the skirt steak. Once seated, our waitress was please try, the service was good however, our food was LukeWarm when received it, it appeared that the food was sitting waiting to be brought to the table. For that reason, my rating is low, I enjoy my food hot when served(not scalding) but hot where butter will melt on pancakes, or in oatmeal. Our table of 4 was ready when we walked in on a busy Sunday morning. Visited on Saturday morning with my family and we were pleasantly surprised. It was busy but only about a 10 minute wait. Once we were seated the coffee came fast, which we love. My friend had a flight out of Midfield airport and we wanted to eat brunch before she left so we decided to eat at Maple N Jams. We used the Yelp waitlist feature which was a blessing because I had to drive 50 minutes to get to the restaurant. When we got there, I ordered the very veggie skillet which came with two pancakes. I got an side of turkey sausage links to go with my meal. My meal was tasty but it was lacking seasoning on the vegetables and potatoes on the skillet dish. The pancakes were good but not super fluffy. The links tasty really good. All in all, the restaurant was a cute, cozy, family feel atmosphere. The food is good, but not super flavorful. The only feedback I have is to put a little more seasoning on the veggies, and potatoes and to make the pancakes fluffier. read more

I recently started coming back to this restaurant and I was very surprised to walk into a bigger and remodeled restaurant. The place not only looks great but the food is incredibly delicious. Every time I bring someone to this cafe they are returning customers. I am going to rave about their skillets because they are perfect every time and if they are not they take them back until you are completely satisfied. Today my dad had the French toast with bananas and a brandy glaze, all I have to say is that that plate was left spotless! After texting Mother's Day greetings to each other this past Sunday, my friend suggested that we get together for breakfast this week and told me to pick the place. There really aren't any good "breakfast places" nearby, so I sent her the names of two restaurants that serve breakfast and said that they had good ratings on Yelp. She texted me the Yelp page for Maple N Jams. I said if she didn't mind driving, I am happy to be going! I had noticed Maple N Jams before on Yelp and thought it looked like a nice restaurant. As it turns out, it is a very nice restaurant! My friend has been here before, and as other reviewers have mentioned, she said this place gets really crowded on weekends. At 10:45 am on this Tuesday morning, the restaurant was quite busy but not crowded. We were pleasantly greeted and given a choice of tables. Our server was Virginia and she is probably one of the best waitresses I have ever been waited on! She is just so personable and delightful and incredibly efficient! Although she was quite busy, she was very attentive and seemed to anticipate our every need. She brought extra napkins, extra plates for shared dish, to-go boxes. Frequently you might have to ask the server for these items - - that is not the case if you are lucky enough to have Virginia for your waitress! We were indeed lucky today. My friend ordered the Florentine Benedict and I ordered the Florentine Crepes. Then she had a really good suggestion - - did I want to share an order of something sweet as a dessert? Oh, yes - - my friend must have been reading my mind! We decided on the M-n-J Oven-baked Banana Nut French Toast. We both enjoyed everything. I do have a few comments about the Florentine Crepes. They are so very, very good! But it is a very big order. Even if I wasn't going to have the French Toast "dessert"--part of those crepes would have been coming home with me. I actually got a second meal from that order. I also have some French Toast for tomorrow. I think it is nice to have leftovers, however, depending on the weather and your plans for the day, sometimes leftovers just aren't convenient. Something to keep in mind. Although it wasn't a real problem today, the ladies room is one person--so another thing to keep in mind is that you might have to wait. As we left, the hostess, Joanne (or might have been Joanna) asked how we enjoyed our meal and seemed truly pleased that we were truly pleased. What a totally delightful experience! However, if you stay more than 1:30 min, the lady at the register will come and ask you if "there is something wrong" since it's been a long time that you had been at the table. We got there (a party of 3) at 11, waited 20 min to sit down and exactly 1 hour and 35 min later she wanted us out. I found that super rude. It was a group of three friends who had not seen each other in a long time, we didn't think it was the way to let us know they wanted us out. At that moment we didn't see people waiting and some tables were empty so we didn't think it was necessary to leave. I came here on Saturday morning with a party of four. I liked how I was able to see how long the wait time was and put myself on the waitlist. The parking lot was full, so we parked on the side street in front of a residential area. It seemed like a lot of people resorted to this since there wasn't enough parking in the lot. When we arrived, we were welcomed and seated right away. The restaurant was very packed and busy, but the waitress served us coffee and water as soon as we were seated. The menu is pretty extensive. They also offer lunch items in addition to breakfast food. I ordered the meat lovers omelette, which included steak, onions, green peppers, and cheddar cheese with a side of hash browns and I chose pancakes instead of toast. The portions are big so I had plenty of left overs. The cheese in my omelette wasn't melted and wasn't evenly distributed so when cutting into the omelette there were chunks of cheese. I could have done without the cheese, which is what I'd request next time. Other than that the omelette was great. I really enjoyed the pancakes! They were nice and fluffy. The overall atmosphere was great! The employees were very personable! Other staff members were constantly making sure we were okay in addition to our very attentive waitress. First come - First serve for tables for large parties. Needed a table for 7 and took awhile in the waiting area - They did a good job informing us on the status. Finally sat down and ordered a few popular entries from hash and eggs to a few salads. The portions were large and prices were decent. Overall, the service was great - I had coffee and there were many staffer walking around with coffee pot topping off all coffee drinkers. They did a great job making my eating experience joyful.
