Kitchen countertops & backsplash: We checked out Marblus looking for countertops for our kitchen. They had a great selection to look through. Lucia was so helpful and unbelievably patient. I think we went back and forth with samples a few times and not once did we feel pressured. She gave us great suggestions and things to think about which ultimately helped us get such a great looking kitchen in the end. We purchased our countertops and backsplash through them and they also did all the work. The workmanship and professionalism of this crew were really impressive. Especially during COVID. We recently sold our home, and needed to buy a new range to leave for the new owners. Even though the old range measured the same (30") as the new one, the new range would not fit into the hole. The quartz countertops on both sides of the hold were not straight! We needed someone to come out and cut the quartz countertop on both sides (in place) to make it wider at the back. I called around for more than a week to find someone who could do this and no one was interested. One of them recommended I try Marblus and I got in touch with Lucia, who is so nice to deal with on the phone! From our first contact I was positive she would be able to solve this problem for us, and she did. Her crew of two came this morning and did the work, and hubby and I are SO pleased. The guys were great to work with and let us make all the decisions after explaining what they would do. They protected everything well before starting, and cleaned up completely when done. Lucia and the Marblus team were recommended to me by a close friend who works in a related field so right away that speaks volumes. The job at hand was a big one, the gutting & remodeling of the entire downstairs of my house: the kitchen, a half bathroom, the living room, the dining room, and the stairway leading upstairs. As the design team, Lucia and Buffy were very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding me in all aspects of the design from the new custom kitchen and bathroom cabinet layouts to the lighting design and wall colors. Schematic drawings were provided to help visualize it all. Once the job was underway Leo was the foreman in charge controlling the secure access to my house and the scheduling of the different tradesmen so that the various jobs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc) were timed efficiently and completed in proper order. I found all of the workers to be highly competent in their areas of expertise, very professional, and genuinely good people who cared about what they were doing. I was told by Marblus that it would take about a month to complete the entire project and that is what it took. Various workers would come by under Leo's supervision between 8am and 4pm and sometimes even for a few hours on a Saturday when required. The level of quality and the fit an finish of the cabinets, countertops & back splash, shelves, new fireplace mantel, flooring and base boards... everything was amazing. Some items not discussed or that had changed from the original job quote were simply just taken care of without much fuss or any add on changes. These included a change in fireplace mantel design, installing new door knobs and hinges on all doors, painting the front door, installing a new door bell which requiring wall patching, and adding in-wall surround sound speaker wire. The communication from Lucia and Leo occurred on a daily basis through text messages, e-mail, or phone calls. Lucia would always give me a call every day or 2 at the end of the day to make sure I was happy. She is a perfectionist and relentlessly monitored the quality of all aspects of the job. During the last week and a half of the job I was out of town and they worked a few extra hours to make sure that when I arrived home and walked in the door everything was cleaned up and completed... these people really do care. I was asked to do a final inspection at that point and came up with a very short list of a few minor things, the quality of the work was that good. Within the same week my list was simply taken care of, again, without any fuss. Wow. The entire Marblus team was a pleasure to work with and to interact with. There were no horror stories here, just an enjoyable process with good knowledgable and capable people. We hired Marblus Granite & Tile initially only to redo our kitchen backsplash, but we were so pleased with their service, that we ended up adding on the kitchen counter tops, sink and faucet, replacing an on-counter hutch with floating shelves, and converting a closet into a storage area with custom shelving. Lucia is an excellent project manager and ensures a high level of communication and keeps the schedule on track (they actually finished our scope of work ahead of schedule, with some good buffer before our deadline). When there were issues that came up during the process, they quickly resolved them and made sure everything was great. We were very pleased with the high quality of work and are so happy with our new kitchen. Our countertop could not have been more perfect. First of all, don't let anyone talk you out of the countertop you want. We went with black with silver flake and it is absolutely spectacular. (Yes, you can see every speck of dirt, but wouldn't you want to?) My kitchen is 17' x 20' and every side of it is covered with countertop except for the two doorways, and Marblus installed it in ONE day. Every seam is perfect, the work is top-notch. But wait, there's more. I didn't want a seam near my sink. I told them it would be better to have a long seam in the corner than a small one at the sink ledge because I hate that scummy line that forms and they made it with No Seam At All!! A lot of fabricators wouldn't even attempt it, but they did and pulled it off. I am thrilled with the result. We also had our window sills done, and check out this fit. It's so perfect I had to include pictures or you wouldn't believe it. The staff is very professional, Lucia was very accommodating, the installers were hardworking and neat. (And I hate to say, this is the one part of our renovation that came off without a problem of any kind.) Absolutely A+. read more

Hurray for women-owned businesses! Lucia knows how to get things done. I received her info from my contractor. We began our communications via email, and it was so refreshing to interact with someone so responsive. She sent me quotes the very same day I sent her my kitchen measurements; two days later, I met with her on a Saturday (she even met after her shop had closed!); she had her dude Leo out on Monday to template, and by Friday, our new quartz countertops were in!! She and Leo are very upfront. They advised us where the seams were going, how close the edges would cut... If you're shopping for Caesarstone, consider the lesser-known brand Chroma. We got the same exact color for $200 cheaper per slab. Minus one star for a 1-cm nick on one of the edges and my hubby thinks they overbuffed the seam. So fine, it's not PERFECT, but we're still happy, especially given the pricing and the fast turnaround (other places quoted 10 business days!). read more

From the beginning to the end, Marblus is a 5 star company! I had met with Lucia to discuss a few projects we had scheduled for remodel in our local Porcelanosa showroom here in San Jose. Lucia was not only very attentive to our look and feel of the showroom but also offered many ideas in the design process to achieve our concept. Once the planning was complete and design was finalized we were ready for the next stage and that's where Leo and his crew come into play! This team picked up our Xtone porcelain slab material (14 slabs) and got to work! They began with coming in and floating the floor in order to achieve the perfect level conditions needed to install long plank 12mm slabs which they had to pre-cut in their shop to achieve the design we wanted due to the 45 degree mitered cuts to create the perfect floor design. They began setting the tile slabs on the floor working clean and very precise, within just two days the flooring had been completed and ready for grout. Once the floor was completed they began working their magic on wall cladding of full slabs and our kitchen counter tops within the vignettes. We were referred to Marblus by the place we purchased our countertops from. It couldn't have been a better referral! Lucia returned my email within minutes and after a few back and forth emails, had an estimate for us. We compared estimates from a few other companies and theirs was substantially lower. She arranged to have Leo come that day to do our templates. We had some issues with our slab (it was too small for our project) from the company we purchased it from and Lucia stopped at nothing to correct the problem so we could have the perfect fabrication. Fabulous Fabricators! We hired Lucia and her team to install granite in our kitchen and marble in 2 fireplaces and they did an outstanding job on all. From our initial meeting to the last ounce of sealer on the stone, Lucia and her team had fantastic quality and outstanding customer service. She not only advised on what she thought would look nice in our home, more importantly, she steered us out of the woods when we wanted to buy some stone with fissures and she advised us to hold out for better quality. Wow. What an awesome company. I received multiple quotes from several tile contractors. I was referred to Marblus from a friend who is an interior designer. I called on Monday and Lucia, the owner, came to my house to see the work that needed to be completed on Tuesday. She spent time getting all the details (the project was my entryway that another contractor screwed up and left me with plyboard for a floor and hundreds of dollars in damaged marble tiles) Lucia took pictures and take about different options I had to fix the entry way floor and make it look beautiful. Lucia's company was not the lowest quote, but hers was in the range of what I had received. It was her communication and estimated turn around time that made me decide to hire her company. Her crew initially came and measured and discussed the layout- this took several hours. This totally impressed me because they really wanted to get this job right. The job took about 2 1/2 days and the crew took the time to thoroughly prep and clean the area around the job each day. Lucia called and texted with me the entire time the project was going on. I must begin by saying that I opened a Yelp account specifically to comment on Marblus Granite and the exceptional work they did at my house. We went through a year long re-build/renovation of a 1920's Rose Garden home and have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to contractors and service providers. I must say that out of everyone we have worked with in the last 12 months Marblus far succeeded them all. When working on a long and extensive project there are many ways to rank a contractor... and usually it is as the old saying goes you have to choose two of the following: good service- cheap wont be fast good service- fast wont be cheap fast service- cheap wont be good However, this does not apply to Marblus. I went to Lucia with a list of granite slabs I had gotten quotes on (from other companies). She was able to negotiate with outside vendors for the specific slabs I wanted, in turn getting me a wholesale price. In addition, she did extensive research and found better pricing on slabs that that were similar to what I found myself and in-turn saved me thousands of dollars. However, her work on locating and negotiating the material was just the beginning of the superb service I received. Leo, who is in charge of instillation and labor was incredible. He is very knowledgeable and is honest in giving his opinion of the best options for the space, however, he is not pushy and is willing to do whatever the customer ultimately wants. His team is professional, on time, clean and efficient. They ask questions to clarify, however they don't have to be baby-sat. And most importantly they come when they say they will and complete jobs on time. If every contractor and vendor I worked with on my house was as professional and efficient as Marblus I'm sure my project would have been completed on-time and on budget (which is always impossible with large products). I have recommended Lucia and Leo to everyone that I hear is considering a remodel and I will use them exclusively in the future for all the projects that I personally have. read more

I am remodeling a small bathroom and was at a loss as to where to get the counter-top. So many places only wanted to work with kitchen re modelers using huge slabs. My tile store recommended Lucia and Marblus so I texted her to see if she would be able to help. She asked for photos of the tile and my color palate. Within 2 minutes of my texting photos to her, she texted back, "I think I have something you might like." It was perfect! Not only does she have a good eye, she has a crack team of installers.
