The drinks were honestly not that strong, they were good and creative but I was expecting a bit more of hit. Me and my friends came here for their apps, we ordered a bunch of hummus & pita which was all good. What really called me to leave a review was how wonderful our server was. Mustafa made this experience wonderful, I'd definitely coming back.

The Marcelino's patio is such a vibe! They have a live DJ Wednesday -Saturday at night too! The food was good and the drinks were also really good. The passion fruit margarita had passion fruit flavored popping boba in it. The peach and honey gimlet and the passion fruit margarita were both not too sweet. The cauliflower and the halloumi were both flavorful vegetarian dishes! The service was also good, it felt like the restaurant was well staffed!

Disgusting bathroom. 2 hours after we first told them what a mess it was

I really wanted to like this place but this bathroom was so disgusting. We got there at 550 for our reservation and went into the restroom while waiting. It was a mess so I told the hostess who said they would get someone in there. These pictures are from 2 hours later. No toilet paper anywhere. Someone had brought more paper towels in, but the place was trashed. For the amount of money spent here for a nice meal, I'd like to think they could clean it better. When I see a bathroom like this I wonder how messy the kitchen is too. Ugh. The food was ok and drinks were fine but I couldn't get past the mess

Mustafa was our server- he was incredible ! Great service & great recommendations. Delicious drinks , food and great vibe on the patio on the first 80 degree Saturday of the year. Will definitely be back!!

10/10 would recommend you checking this place out. I found it on social media. It has the waterfront views and its outdoor set up with sofas and tables. They also have an indoor restaurant and huge bar area. I didn't have a reservation but was able to seat at the outdoor bar area. The service was great and helpful when deciding between drinks. They have an extensive drink menu and Mediterranean food menu as well. I got the following drinks: Melon chili, light and refreshing the melon was just a garnish and not really tasted in the drink. There was a chili taste and Smokey element as well. Watermelon rhubarb, was a watermelon refresher with a feta cheese cream top. Very light and refreshing Baklava was their take on an old fashioned. It was honey whiskey and not much on the baklava spices that I could tell the difference

Drinks, hummus, and the fattoush salad were absolutely divine--truly the standout stars of the meal. The flavors were incredibly vibrant and well-balanced, and honestly, some of the best we've had. We would 100% come back just for the small plates and drinks. The atmosphere added to the experience too--intimate, quieter than a typical bar, with a beautifully designed interior and a great vibe. That said, the tuna and chicken dishes didn't quite live up to the same standard. After such a strong start with the hummus and salad, we had high expectations. The tuna lacked flavor, and the chicken dish felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, the incredible flavors of the hummus and salad alone would bring us back, and we're excited to explore more of the small plates--especially from the garden-inspired and artisan dips sections of the menu.

I'll start this by saying: Marcelino's is a tough one to review. It's a beautiful space with quality drinks and food in a prime location, but it's real expensive, and takes itself pretty seriously. We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. There's a bouncer at the front door and while there was no line at 7pm when we arrived, by the time we left there was a substantial line (velvet ropes and all) of people dressed to the nines waiting to get it. The restaurant is really luxurious and vibey but super small - though I think the back room has a DJ that was drawing this crowd in. At its core, Marcelino's is a cocktail bar. The drink menu is all designed around the flavor profiles and ingredients. Some of our favorites were the classic dirty martini, Oregano/Tomato, and Basil. There were some great flavors and everything was perfectly balanced, but at $20-$30 per cocktail, you'd expect nothing less. There's also a full menu of mediterranean small plates (at full entree prices...). Everything we tried was delicious, but with a group of 4, it was really hard to order enough to fill everyone up without spending a fortune. Our waitress was really helpful and the service all around was great, I just probably wouldn't visit for a meal again. It's more of a drinks and a light snack spot for a special occasion in my opinion. Restaurants like this have been popping up more and more to fill a hole in the nightlife scene in Boston (such a casual city), but you're really paying for the decor, location, and IG photos, rather than the actual meal. Still, you have to respect the quality food and cocktails, just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into :)

We've been wanting to try this place for a month or so and finally made it here. It's a nice cocktail bar with really unique flavors. Very pricey though (~$20/cocktail) and some places I think it's worth it but I wasn't blown away by these. Very good but not worth that price. The food was good but it's small plates so it's not really designed for dinner (even though reservations between 4-9 have to be dinner). It was a nice vibe but very small. Overall, I thought it was good but I'm not sure I'll be dying to go back.

Usually new places are overhyped but this place was solid! Good vibes and music Service vis bartenders was great and super helpful Eggplant miso 5/5 Lamb chop 5/5 Chicken schnitzel 4/5 Cocktails were creative but not amazing for $22+...should be priced around $15 max

The food at Marcelino is just okay -- a bit hit or miss. Some dishes land well, but others fall short. The squid dish, for example, wasn't what I expected and left me a little disappointed. On the plus side, the drinks are pretty solid and worth trying if you're stopping in. Overall, not a bad spot, they have great view of the water outside

Relaxing ambiance with little be music and relaxing vibes . Service was prompt and friendly . Drinks were fantastic .

Lamb chops were amazing! I'd come back to eat this. It smelled incredible walking in. The view is beautiful from the high tops by the railing. I felt like sitting inside or on the regular tables on the patio had an obstructed view. Service was super slow and inattentive on a Tuesday evening. I can't imagine what this would be like on a busier day. I agree the pricing is high. I had a mid cocktail for over $23 with the taxes included. At this price point, I expect more than a pretty drink. 1 drink and one "larger" item without a side ran me $75. I was on a work trip, so that helped.

    The view!

You must order the kale salad. I am not a kale salad person, yet I have dined here three times in…read morethe last week to eat the kale salad and am already planning my next visit. You know when you're eating a kale salad and the pieces are too big and you're kind of cramming them into your mouth and then the salad dressing is all over your face? This is NOT that salad! The kale is perfectly chopped so you can enjoy it with just your fork as you talk to your friend/spouse/date or just read your book. The dressing is such perfection, and the perfect amount, no gloopiness here! Crunchy breadcrumbs add magical texture and then there's a shower of finely grated gouda cheese on top. Have you ever read a good book and as you're reading it, you're so into it that you don't want it to end? So you slow down your reading speed to make it last a little longer? That's how I feel about this salad. There are other delicious items on the menu, I saw someone eating the burger that looked so good, I also want to try the Brussels but the call of the salad siren is too strong. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly, especially Catherine, and the kitchen team even shared the dressing recipe with me. Excellent wine list, casual and cozy space with twinkle lights, a lot of bar/counter seating, great date spot. Also attached/sister company to American Provisions I believe (great spot in Southie for sandwiches, cheeses, wines, pastries, rare food items).

I absolutely ADORE this place. It's one of my top 3 places in all of Boston. The vibes, the food, the wine, the prices, EVERYTHING is 10/10. This is one of those places where I feel at peace because I feel like my money was 100% well-spent. The prices are fair, and I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of. And the FOOD, the food is exquisite. My favorite time to go is on Tuesdays for the $1 oyster deal, definitely my favorite $1 oyster deal in the city. They mostly have small plates and a few large plates, but you seriously can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the wine options, amazinggggggg. Gray's is a true gem!

Total came out to approximately $80 (not including tip). What's Hot - Menu. Pretty good variety. There's something for everyone, including vegans (for the most part). Specifically for vegans, they do not appear to have vegan cheese. They recently added loaded fries to their menu. - Quality. We tried their buffalo loaded fries, which definitely a good kick of spiciness. There was a good amount of buffalo mozzarella cheese and chicken. Their fries are slightly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. I really enjoyed my pressed veggie sandwich. There were whole veggies, such as broccoli, with a good amount of cheese melted between all the veggies. I liked that it was not a mashed patty. The sourdough bread was not tart (which I prefer), soft, and not too greasy. No skimping on the ingredients either. Their mozzarella bites appetizer is good, not overly breaded, and cheesy/stringy. All of us enjoyed our meals. - Service. We showed up without reservations on a Friday night when it was cold and rainy, and they were able to seat us right away. We tried several other restaurants before getting here, and we would have had to wait at least one hour, because we did not have reservations, even though those restaurants clearly had open tables. Our waitress was helpful. She answered all questions she had and was able to provide us contextual helpful info (i.e., what she's tried from the menu, what she liked and why, flavor level, etc...). She paid attention to detail. One of our friends hates pickles and specifically asked for no pickles with his burger. This may seem like a minor detail, but if a staffer cannot pay attention to detail in the service industry, that is not a good indication. - Price. Good value for money, especially given the quality of food and portions. - Portions. Good amount and enough to get one full on one dish. - Location. Conveniently located in downtown Boston around many other shops and restaurants. - Layout. At the front, there's a pretty large bar area, including high tables and chairs, with booths and smaller tables towards the back. They appear to be able to accommodate large groups and smaller parties, including individuals. What's Not - Acoustics. It's pretty loud inside and sound carries very easily, so it's difficult to carry a conversation. Final Answer Worth returning.
