Ive been here several of times and the service is HORRIBLE however the only reason i keep going back is bc its a nice location and less packed. However management is horrible! I ordered MR steak and they sent MW 3x!. When the manager was told she was not accommodating at all! Please invest in new managers. Ambiance is great but truly disappointed in the service. Will have to stick with East Meadow location! Its worth the wait! Not returning here!.... i forgot to add!!!!! When I returned my MW steak back for the 3rd time it never came back!!! Worst experience at a margaritas chain so far. I've been to many with so much hospitality and this place had none. 45 minute wait which is fine and placed our orders right away. We got the drinks and waited OVER AN HOUR for our BURNT appetizers! It was so burnt I couldn't even eat it. They threw it right in I'm sure right after we complained. We LOVE Margarita's in East Meadow and Merrick (haven't been to Wantagh yet) but this was a TERRIBLE experience! Terrible service, terrible food, great views. The first thing the waiter did was tell us about a problem at another table where he had to buy them their entrees and drinks. Then, took our order. 20 minutes later, he came back and asked for our order AGAIN and after we said "we gave it to you" he told us we didn't. So, we just ordered again. Food came, my wife's fish tacos were inedible and my fajitas came not terribly hot (aren't they supposed to be sizzling?) and no sides. They comped my wife's meal and when we asked for the check, the waiter said "no shots?" My first time there with family out for drinks to celebrate Cinco de mayo. I ordered beef empanadas, I didn't care for them at all, the beef didn't look nor taste like beef. I think because I had it in my mind for it to taste like Cabo. The margarita drinks were good. We ordered patron shots it was like a splash of water and something else. We complained and the manager gave us one on the house, but it should have been right the first time. Nice layout with a nice stage, last nights music, Blue Ruin, was great, the food was ok at best. The service needs work. Everyone seemed to be trying but the waiters and bartenders could use some training. Orders came out without sides, I had two bloody marias, one came with vodka and the second with tequila, I wasn't about to wait another 5 minutes to get another one. As a local resident of Freeport I was very happy to see Margarita's move into the neighborhood. Tonight was my first visit. I have to say BRAVO - the food was on point. The absolute tastiest Fajitas I have ever had hands down. Not many negatives except that they charge for soda refills. I don't mind paying - I just don't like surprises - the server should make you aware of these charges. It's fairly common in Freeport due to the seasonal nature of restaurants. I am hopeful that they will stay open year round - I would definitely like them as an option for the colder months. Lastly - music is a bit loud but festive. read more

The service here is horrible. Ive never experienced service this bad. We got here and the place was fairly empty. When we were seated we waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come over. By that time we were ready to order drinks, apps and food all at once. He took our order and that was the last time we saw him. We finished eating and sat for another 30 minutes before I finally got up to call the manager. I told the manager that it was my husbands birthday. The manager brought out the dessert. No singing, meanwhile other birthdays had full staff singing with moraccas shaking and everything. Then we sat another 20 mins after finishing dessert before I had to go get my own check from the servers area. Meanwhile there's a table full of blonde haired, blue eyed people next to us that our waiter was very attentive to. Every time he went to them, which was frequent, I tried to call him over and he just kept walking. He literally came to our table to take the order and that was it. Never once checked on us. THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!! I would not recommend this place for canines much less neighbors and friends. Their food is mediocre at best but they have zero sense of the hospitality industry. Yes they have other locations and I'm sure the team's there are just as horrible. I ordered food to go, not much more than a 12 year old can prepare and get out of the kitchen, after waiting an hour and half I canceled the order and not only did I not get an apology, I got dirty looks from the manager. Nor did they not offer to buy back a single drink. They hammered us for every watered down cocktail and tried to make us feel bad for canceling the order. Keep in mind I live near by and will tell all neighbors and friends to think twice about going there even for an afternoon beer and snack. Wow! Freeport is moving up! This place definitely is customer service savvy. Leslie our waitress was great made us feel like that we known her for years. Staff was very observant and only came to us at the right time. I love quesadillas and they just took it to a whole new level. I Had a shrimp quesadilla served wit Fresh avocado and cream and like a marinara sauce on the side. It was slightly crunchy on the outside and the inside was fresh shrimp warm and melted in my month. That filled me up about 65% then I had churrasco steak wit Chimichurri sauce. Oh yeah, their BEST drink is definitely the margarita is there signature drink!!! Very good.. Had dinner here with my besties at about 4pm. They serve you with a chips and salsa. The place had an amazing water view. We had a pitcher of mango margarita and sangria ($26 each) both drinks were super good but really expensive just enough for 3 glasses. The food was delicious, we had taquitos, chicken quesadilla, arroz con pollo and fautos. All in all I had a great time. Would be back. read more

One of my favorite places to go to for sure ! They have a special every night of the week except weekends. Whether it's unlimited tacos on Tuesdays or 2 for $20 dinners on Wednesday's, it's definitely worth it! We frequent Margaritas often because it is in walking distance of our house, we normally get great service and equally great food and drinks, but lately we have noticed that they are understaffed and the customers are definitely paying the price. We arrived at Margaritas around 5pm and did not put our order for dinner to take out until 8pm. We had excellent drink service until then but waited an unacceptable amount of time for our food and finally had to cancel our order. With no apologies or credit towards our drink bill, our food order was removed from our bill and we left very hungry. The food is very good here and so is the service when eating in house, but we were very disappointed in the service tonight and lack of apology from the staff, because we were taking our food to go. Love this location! Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was raining a bit but the manager made sure he got us a covered table. I asked him his name and if i recall correctly, his name is Sergio. Since he was so nice, i couldn't help but pay attention to how well he interacted with the staff and the other manager (tall guy). He was out on the floor making sure the customers were taken care off. The wait staff were attentive and our food and drinks came out in a timely fashion. This coupled with great margaritas and food certainly made our lunch very enjoyable. Oh and it's so awesome to sit there and look at the marina and boats! You'd think they would leave an outgoing message or post on the Instagram if they had to unexpectedly close. Have been to the Margaritas Cafe in East Meadow, although that one is smaller the drinks and wait service is much better. Here at Freeports venue is very nice, large outdoor, beautiful on a nice summer evening, live band was great, however some things are not that great. It took a while for a waiter to come. The kid we had wasn't bad up until the point we received the check. So when you have a group of friends who either deal with numbers and details, yes the check will be scrutinized before paying. They added an additional $20 uptick charge because my friend got 2 strawberry/pina colada daiquiri and told us it was because she added another flavor, (cost of one is $8.95)...... for real where do they do that at. Drank at many places and the bartender makes whatever you want and charge one price regardless. 2nd they charged us $11 for a small side of shredded cheese with our fajitas and called it queso... umm doesn't cheese come with fajitas the majority of time. We said you all need to tell people up front of these up addirinal charges when they're ordering their food and drinks. Then in final they added a 20% gratuity which is ok to add gratuity as it was 6 of us but what happened to 15 or 18%. So as we have food left over to be wrapped up. My friend opened her doggie bag today to find out the waiter didn't put her ribs and shrimp in container, only rice and beans and salsa. Those ribs and shrimps weren't cheap. Margarita management you must pay attention to your patrons and be upfront on charges. That's not fair to customers. read more

This place has a great outdoor atmosphere unfortunately, the service by the lounge area was terrible. I was there on friday evening with a large group celebrating a birthday. We placed a drink order and that came quickly however, we didn't see another server after that for a long time. Finally someone came over to us and I asked if we could order food and she told me she will send someone over to take our order. A few min later a woman came over but only to leave menus and utensils, she couldnt take our order either! I got up and went to another woman serving a nearby table to ask if we could order food, we had been waiting over an hour and she told me she will get someone to help us...this was getting ridiculous so I walked over to the manager and told him we were waiting a long time for food service and all he said was 'I'll get someone to help you' NO ONE EVER CAME! I left and went up the block to the pizza place. It's a shame because the place was very nice, there was live music and the drinks were decent. It was not extremely busy and I don't see a reason as to why the service was so bad. The bar also appeared to be understaffed, there were only 2 bartenders and a long line of people waiting to order drinks on both occasions I went to the bar. The bartenders were both friendly and looked a bit overwhemed. They need to reconsider their manager, he was rude and did not manage the staff properly. read more

I ordered the calamari and had a margarita. Everything was going great until I asked for more marinara sauce. More like marinara water. The food is okay and the outside seating is nice, but we got ate up by mosquitoes. FYI, the crowd is about as "impressive" as the service. Also this place shares a parking lot with an adjacent motel and parking is limited at best. I even called ahead to find out about the parking and the girl I spoke to has an IQ of a pear...she said "we have valet"...which unless she thinks the smokers were parking other people's cars, they don't have valet. Have eating here at least 15 times since they opened. The nachos are great & the steak fajitas are my favorite. They have a nice waterfront view and music always playing. Weekends are very busy so I usually come weeknights. Since there is a lot of seating outdoors we sit outside. The bar is always busy and they have specials during the week. read more
