My husband and I occasionally come here for the volcano nachos. It's huge enough to share with 4 or 5 people if you wanted. We almost always get it but I do wish they would make it a little differently. Sometimes they get lazy with layering the toppings well. And I wish they would use some liquid cheese instead of just melted shredded cheese. But it's still a great snacky carby meal to eat on with some margs when you're in the mood for it. read more

After driving around Tulsa area for two days, I heard the radio ads for Margaritaville about 472518 times. I decided I should just go find out for myself. Luckily, I went on a Thursday evening and there was absolutely no wait. The hostess could have been friendlier, but she's probably not really motivated. My server Annie, however, was incredible! Not only did she make several recommendations regarding the entrées and appetizers, she also made an upsell right off the bat! The casino is a Pepsi establishment. BUT the restaurant serves COKE products!!! I would have ordered water, but after being around so much Pepsi, I needed that Coca Cola Classic. It is very loud in there. Be prepared. There's also a corner "stage" that lights up when they dim the primary lighting and makes a whole lot of "musical" noise. Everyone in the restaurant looked that way, but nothing ever happened. Just really showy, without any substance. The fish and chips were really good. The breeding isn't greasy. The fish tasted amazing. The cole slaw was also really good! The French fries were alright. What a disappointment. There was nothing special about this menu either. Had the margarita chicken pasta- dry pasta and barely 4 pieces of chicken chunks smh for they price. I am a local visitor to this restaurant but a worldwide fan of the venue and have visited many around the globe. I visited the poolside tiki dining room part of this complex and had 3 specific issues: 1) the souvenir mug was not the one advertised in the menu and staff had no explanation as to why 2) after not offering a refund for the wrong mug I thought I would try and make the most of the mistake and inquire about the advertised refill special. The bartender quoted me a higher price on a refill in the souvenir mug rather than just getting a new drink! 3) bartender was using the f bomb rather freely and although that word is gaining more acceptance as normal, it's still not pleasant to hear it every 3 minutes or so. Here's the thing...I'm not telling anyone not to go here. I'm a Parrothead and will certainly return. I just wish the people who worked there took the theme, vibe, and patrons more seriously. read more

Stumbled in this place through the bar and onto the boat. So we technically didn't check in with the hostess. The tables were dirty so we waited for someone " for a while" to wipe down the table so we could be seated " in the boat" Everyone was very friendly and just turns out we caught them at 4 o'clock shift change. I've heard that sometimes they have quite a wait to get into this restaurant but the day we were there Saturday afternoon it was wide open. We had drinks and appetizers and they were good ...looking forward to going back and sampling the menu another time ! I'm not 100% sure but I believe that this is in the non-smoking part of the casino. I did not see anyone smoking in the restaurant and I didn't see any ashtrays. Finally, the wait is over! The Margaritaville restaurant and new gaming area are open at River Spirit. My wife and I stopped in Saturday for lunch and to see the new sights. The new area is gorgeous and very well lit. It's bright, fun and everything is themed. The restaurant is located along the back wall. Just walk along the back, and it leads you right to it. The first impression, visually, is WOW! It really looks tropical and exudes that Jimmy Buffet vibe. There is a volcano and a stage for a band to perform. They do a show at night with the volcano, but we were too early for it. There is so much to lol at from the floor that looks like water to the giant margarita blender. You will have plenty to look at while you wait for your grub. We were greeted promptly at the hostess stand by 3 friendly workers. They took us to our seat but seemed a little unsure where we were supposed to be going. Once seated our waitress, Shannon, greeted us right away to take our drink order and discuss the menu. She was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu as well as the restaurant itself. The prices seem high, but the food portions are very large. We saw a plate of volcano nachos go by that lives up to its name! We decided to split the shrimp trio. Our food came out fairly quickly, and we dug in. The breaded and fried coconut shrimp was scrumptious with the marmalade dipping sauce. There was a blackened shrimp on skewers that had great flavor. There was a third shrimp, I forget the name of it, but it had like a tropical scampi sauce; it was also tasty. The fries were hot and crunchy. The coleslaw didn't do anything for me though. It was bland and needed some love or hot sauce. Careful with the salt and pepper shakers. They keep the lids on them, and people try to crank the seasoning out, only to fill up the lid...then when you open it, the seasoning dumps out. That's what happened to me with the pepper anyway. All in all, the food and service were great! We had a good time, and I think it will be a good place to take friends and family when they come to town. Not very busy when we came in; probably like 6 tables total. Waited 20 minutes after being sat with no contact with any employee. Eventually we told the hostess that we had not been seen and she told us that our waitress was "running late" and that she'd be there soon. Why were we sat in a section that did not have a server? Very loud so come for a lively time not an intimate time. The menu is typical. I've always been more of a fan of the Cheeseburgers in Paradise franchise but I was snowed in and not super hungry. During happy hour the waitress noticed I was eye balling a club sandwich that went by so when I returned she remembered me and came right up to me to take my carryout order. I had the club which was cut in half not 1/4's so it was much easier to eat and it was larger than most club sandwiches. It was just whatt i needed not wanting a main entree or burger. I appreciate a side salad was offered in place of fries without an upcharge. This is a fun spot to enjoy tasty drinks and food. Try the Bahama Mama and you won't be disappointed. The nachos are excellent too but can feed the entire table. It's pretty loud with music and a volcano show frequently playing but it adds to the experience. Margaritaville in Tulsa is a pretty cool place! When we arrived it was on a Thursday around noon and we were seated quickly. The layout and decor was pretty impressive with many details. I loved how there is a huge TV playing music videos from Jimmy Buffet. Also at certain times, the music gets loud, lights go crazy, and they start playing the famous Margaritaville song. We did not have a chance to go out to the patio because it was very windy, but I took a glance and the patio looked amazing with the river view. The food was average. I just had the Cheeseburger in Paradise and it was tasty, nothing special. I also ordered a margarita drink called Last Mango in Paris and it was ASTONISHING! They loaded the drink with liquor, which is my favorite! The food and drinks are a little pricey but if you go to the Margaritaville in Las Vegas, it is double the price. Also in the gift shop they have no lapel pins... blah... WHYY?? I know I am not the only who collects those. But anyway, I would definitely come back to this restaurant anytime! To start...you can not get pepsi in the restaurant but you can get it in the casino. So...I ordered a water which had black specks in it. The wings were good. Ordered the fish and chips which seemed as if it was sitting for a while before it was brought out. My wife ordered the fish tacos and she really enjoyed them. The food and drinks are good - if you can stand to wait a while to be seated. We checked in and the host said it would be 20-30 minutes but it ended up being a little over an hour til we were seated. I think they deleted our name off the list accidentally but did what they could to seat us after we brought it to their attention. The food was great, we tried a variety of things. We started with the cheese curds which were yummy and squishy just like they should be! I ordered the coconut shrimp, we also had the blackened ribeye, fish & chips and the island chicken breasts. The shrimp and fish were great. The chicken was dry and could've used more of a sauce. My husband said the blackened ribeye could've been more blackened. All in all it was delicious. We also tried a few margaritas - we had the watermelon which was perfect! Also the spicy margarita which was also excellent and the blueberry pomegranate which was good but not as good as the first two. I've been here multiple times since the opening and each time gets better and better each tine. The food is so good. I recommend the nachos, lobster Mac and cheese, or the coconut shrimp. The nachos can literally feed 5 people. They are huge....but so yummy! The atmosphere is a lot of fun. We had their nachos as an appetizer, which were amazing, but it comes with a lot! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and my boyfriend ordered the fish and chips. We have been to the restaurant several times since it opened. It is all about the atmosphere (especially if you are Buffet or Caribbean fan!!) and not all about the food. We were extremely lucky to have a great waitress the first couple of times we were there. Robin was very friendly and made sure she came back often to check on us. In the last two weeks we have come in with friends to celebrate birthdays. She made it a festive time for all of us by ensuring the balloon makers knew it was a member of our party's birthday and made them a special balloon hat! I've been to other Margaritaville locations including Turks and Caicos and I can say the food was good, I had the Jambalaya, but the Margarita was a JOKE!!
