Service was fine may not be to some people's liking but to me they didn't rush us and we enjoyed spending time with friends! We ordered a greek salad for the table and was plenty for 4. It was tasty and the olives and cheese were delicious! Would also try the walnut gorgonzola salad! No reviews mentioned the toasted garlic bread - it was terrific and brought some more when they saw how quickly it was devoured! We ordered the main course - my wife had a pasta alfredo which she said was excellent but unfortunately I had a chicken parmesan which to me was overcooked ( almost burnt) - perhaps next time it will be better! I had a very delicious chicken parmigiana sandwich with pink sauce (vodka sauce) on the side. The Italian owner was super nice. I had such a pleasant time with my daughter. This is hands down the BEST Italian food you can get here in South Florida. We have tried the penne à la vodka, the carbonara, the eggplant parmesan, the caesar salad, and several of their sandwiches--ALL INCREDIBLE. Their chef is the best. Whatever you get, you won't be disappointed, truly. I would recommend a favorite, but each dish is so delicious, I can't even choose! If you're thinking about coming here, do it! I love this place. Sometimes after just one experience, you know there wont be a round two, sorta like dating, right? Stopped in to grab a salad. I asked what ingredients were in the Greek and was surprised when he told me roasted peppers and artichokes are in it. For those of you who don't know me, I am very picky. And I know what I like and I have to be assured there will be no surprises in my food. I peeked at the salad when it was brought out to me & to my surprise there was a balsamic drizzle on top. Balsamic on a Greek salad? I'm not a fan but I was in a rush & thought I could pick around the drizzle. Was again surprised that the Greek dressing also had balsamic. I have my own dressing at work so I didn't swap it out. The small restaurant is not the cleanest and there is no counter to place orders. I stood in the middle of the room and told the owner what I wanted. When I paid him I handed him cash while standing up in the middle of the dining room and he gave me change from his pocket. The entire situation was just so bizarre. He kindly told me to grab a drink from the refrigerated case. That kind gesture was appreciated. I have to give credit where credit is due. When I told him about the balsamic issue he immediately offered to make me a new salad. I declined because I had to get back to my office. As I started picking at my salad I quickly realized that it wasn't exactly fresh. The lettuce was turning brown and the feta cheese was quite sour. I gave him a call to let him know and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong because he just opened a new bag of lettuce and a new package of feta. He also said maybe it was just me because I don't care for balsamic. He offered me a full refund when I come back. That was very nice of him but I won't be back. I didn't like the food at all & it wasn't exactly the cleanest place in town. I didn't feel comfortable placing and paying for my order in the middle of the dining room & the fact he implied I was wrong just completely irritated me. This should be a two star review but I added the third because he tried to make it right and I didn't have time. And also I am giving him the benefit of the doubt because maybe the balsamic did put me off. I know people who love this place, maybe it's just me. read more

The owner Frankie is really nice but he is all over the place We ordered food and a few dishes we ordered, he gave us something else and but we let it slide The bread soaked in olive oil with garlic was the best thing here The pizza could have been excellent but it was over ricotta cheesed! We had a white clam and bacon pizza but they used pancetta and ricotta. Still tasty but too much The chicken saltimbocca was not good. The sauce tasted like thick canned chicken soup mix Linguine and clams were ok We ordered shrimp with lemon sauce but they sent out snapped with lemon sauce. Good. I gotta Talia, this place is the real deal. We are so in love with Talia's, we've come for dinner five times in the past few weeks. My husband says the pasta fagioli is the best he's ever had. Turns out this establishment is owned by a fellow Brooklynite. I was sitting outside when these amazing crunchy looking heros came out for the next table. I had the best Greek salad that I've had in a very long time. It was huge. Lettuce banana peppers olives artichoke hearts onion delicious tomatoes feta cheese and a fantastic dressing. This is my place. Whenever I get pizza for the office and it's my call I go with Talia's. Yesterday we were due for pizza so we got 4 pies from here. I will have to say that when we went to pickup the pizzas they weren't ready. Really not ready. We had ordered on a very popular day. There was a dozen other people waiting for their orders. It took over an hour wait. So how could I swear by Talia's? Once we got into their supreme, each and every person forgave the wait. I'm sure the beers we got helped calm the masses too. While I was there, the person running the counter came out several times to sit with a table full of what seemed like his family or close friends. Definitely a warm vibe going on. Ordered the "Chopino" for 2. I'm used to cioppino being more like a seafood stew, and I like dipping crusty bread into the broth. However, the dish that came out seemed more like a mixed rice dish. It was still good, but just unexpected. The garlic bread was overdone, and had a strong raw garlic flavor on top. Dessert cannolis were good, but small. Why did I change my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars? Let me first say this: I still really like this place, a lot! Now for the reason I've taken away a star(for now) is because the last time I went there the Bronx Bomer went from this HUGE sandwich to basically a regular good sized one. I know probably about 18 of my friends who go there and they've been telling me and I always say "yeah right" ... well they were right, the sandwiches came out much smaller than what I'm used to. This was the choice for my work catered event and I was super pleased with the presentation, and the taste. The food was all hot and fresh for around 300 employees it would excellent. We ordered a large array from pasta dishes, to the chicken parm etc. it was all great! If you are looking for a Italian spot in the Boca area this is your place! The food is pretty good here and the portions are HUGE. I had the Chicken Francais . It tasted good. I thought they put in a little to much oil, other than that no problem. I was able to get a whole meal with the leftovers. My date had the Eggplant Parmigiana, she liked it and took the left overs home. They have a lunch buffet here, I never tried it. I have to tell you. Not only is the food great but Frank has a heart. I stopped in a little earlier today just before they opened and a gentleman was outside that was a younger kid and didn't seem like that type that was tied into the wrong crowds. My heart melted a bit and I told Frankie that I wanted to buy another sandwich for the boy and Frankie said don't worry about it I'll make him a fresh one, and then proceeded to tell me to not worrying about paying because it was the wrong sandwich. I objected and he pressed his stance. I walked out feeling compelled to write this review as a thank you to Frankie and thank you for doing your share. Nothing pains me more than giving nasty business owners my money, but with today being my first time at Talia's, that's exactly what I was forced to do. Walked into this hole in the wall today which has a very weird restaurant setting and not welcoming at all. After the first 5 minutes he started cursing at one of his employees and then was nasty the rest of the time I was there until my order was ready. Thalia's used to be amazing. I went this weekend and was quite disappointed. The restaurant was absolutely filthy (not OK any time, but especially during a pandemic). No reason for having a dirty restaurant (it was not busy, and there was plenty of time to clean). The guy making my food came out without a mask, twice. This place is one of our local favorites. Went there on Saturday night for a really delicious dinner. Went with a group of 5 at 6:30 and didn't have any trouble getting a seat. When we were seated by the owner, he took our order and provided us with excellent service. All of us were really pleased with our meals and the surrounding environment, full of character. I ordered a Michelangelo hero which was a huge portion and really delicious. The rest of my group got the eggplant Parmesan, chicken Parmesan, another Michelangelo hero, and a pasta bolognese. The whole group loved their meals and had a great time dining here. We also were served some delicious cannolis before we left which were really yum too. Overall, this is a great local spot.
