Penne with Sausage & Broccoli Rane

For those missing their Nonna's cooking, or old school NY/NJ Italian cooking, Frank & Kevin will make you feel like home! Small, unpretentious with Godfather & Sopranos posters on the wall, this place has everything I miss about NY/NJ American-Italian. Kevin and Frank are both lovely conversationalist with deep ties to 80/90's NY Italian food. With large portilns, tThe Penne with Sausage and broccoli rabe was as good as my homemade, the carbonara was creamy & decadent, the chicken franchese was tender & flavorful! This is not fancy Italian, this is I came home to Nonna & Nonno's house for soul soothing Italian food and welcome home good feels!

Talia's is one of the most authentic and most casual Italian ambiance's I have experienced here in South Florida. Great service- very quick. From the owner, Frankie, and manager, Kevin, to all of the memorabilia all over the joint, and of course their food, make this place a local hit! My favorite thing to order is their Greek salad, best in Boca (no joke!), cheese pizza (New York style, so dang good and crisp) and occasionally we mix it up with Penne a la Vodka! Don't miss out on this hidden local gem! If you're lucky, you might even get a few jokes out of Frankie and some good stories from Kevin too.

THE MICHAELANGELO! Delicious. Get it on the ciabatta bread. It will blow your mind!

Sometimes the food is good, and other times the food is horrible. They will not make your order well, and they will not accommodate your needs. Beware of this company. Also, the owner literally chased me out of there years ago because they didn't give me the sandwich with the correct ingredients. Never order from them.

Everyone at our wedding had to know who catered it! My guest were raving about how delicious the food tasted! When Frankie says , "you ordered too much food , " listen to him! We enjoyed a ton of leftovers as well! Thank you for making our day extra special!

    Greek Salad???

Sometimes after just one experience, you know there wont be a round two, sorta like dating, right? Stopped in to grab a salad. I asked what ingredients were in the Greek and was surprised when he told me roasted peppers and artichokes are in it. For those of you who don't know me, I am very picky. And I know what I like and I have to be assured there will be no surprises in my food. I peeked at the salad when it was brought out to me & to my surprise there was a balsamic drizzle on top. Balsamic on a Greek salad? I'm not a fan but I was in a rush & thought I could pick around the drizzle. Was again surprised that the Greek dressing also had balsamic. I have my own dressing at work so I didn't swap it out. The small restaurant is not the cleanest and there is no counter to place orders. I stood in the middle of the room and told the owner what I wanted. When I paid him I handed him cash while standing up in the middle of the dining room and he gave me change from his pocket. The entire situation was just so bizarre. He kindly told me to grab a drink from the refrigerated case. That kind gesture was appreciated. I have to give credit where credit is due. When I told him about the balsamic issue he immediately offered to make me a new salad. I declined because I had to get back to my office. As I started picking at my salad I quickly realized that it wasn't exactly fresh. The lettuce was turning brown and the feta cheese was quite sour. I gave him a call to let him know and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong because he just opened a new bag of lettuce and a new package of feta. He also said maybe it was just me because I don't care for balsamic. He offered me a full refund when I come back. That was very nice of him but I won't be back. I didn't like the food at all & it wasn't exactly the cleanest place in town. I didn't feel comfortable placing and paying for my order in the middle of the dining room & the fact he implied I was wrong just completely irritated me. This should be a two star review but I added the third because he tried to make it right and I didn't have time. And also I am giving him the benefit of the doubt because maybe the balsamic did put me off. I know people who love this place, maybe it's just me.

This is my parents favorite place but not mine The place feels dirty. The owner Frankie is really nice but he is all over the place We ordered food and a few dishes we ordered, he gave us something else and but we let it slide The bread soaked in olive oil with garlic was the best thing here The pizza could have been excellent but it was over ricotta cheesed! We had a white clam and bacon pizza but they used pancetta and ricotta. Still tasty but too much The chicken saltimbocca was not good. The sauce tasted like thick canned chicken soup mix Linguine and clams were ok We ordered shrimp with lemon sauce but they sent out snapped with lemon sauce. Good. But not what we wanted When we asked for the bill- he thought about and just said " give me 95 bucks". Unreal Nice guy. But needs to clean this place up

I gotta Talia, this place is the real deal. We are so in love with Talia's, we've come for dinner five times in the past few weeks. My husband says the pasta fagioli is the best he's ever had. He loves the risotto too, and has sampled several of them. My Mom's favorite dish is the eggplant parmigiana. My brother and sister-in-law loved the chicken dishes. Frankie is great. Makes us feel like family and his wife Olga is one great cook!

Hidden gem! Guys who work there are super awesome and kind. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants i've tried in South Florida!!! Penne a la vodka is DELICIOUS 10/10

This review is for Chef Baba's cooking class. He did an Italian cooking class at Tunies. A group of us went for the fun of cooking with an awesome chef. We had a great girls night out and cooked some amazing food and he shared some of his personal home made vino. . Definitely a great way to spend an evening. See the photos of some of the food we all made together. He is very well organized and makes cooking fun and he managed to get the whole group involved in making each step of the meal. I know this is not easy to do.

Turns out this establishment is owned by a fellow Brooklynite. I was sitting outside when these amazing crunchy looking heros came out for the next table. I had the best Greek salad that I've had in a very long time. It was huge. Lettuce banana peppers olives artichoke hearts onion delicious tomatoes feta cheese and a fantastic dressing. I also had a Margarita pizza. It was ok but that's Florida. Just can't get NY pizza anywhere !!!!!! Oh yea also crunchy tasty side of garlic bread with the salad.

But the star of the dinner was the chocolate soufflé . It was perfectly served with fresh crème and garnished with a few berries. Melting chocolate but not too dense. I will be comparing any in the future to Tramonti's. We sat on the enclosed outdoor patio and enjoyed being outside without having people leering at our food. Service was brisk and attentive. Our waitress seemed uninterested in being there and completely disappeared when we needed her most. Very disappointing experience overall. We will not be returning. Bread was too hard, rice balls bland and too much cheese. So many more options in Atlantic watch out Tramonti.

We paid almost $100 per person for their omakase experience and it was a complete rip-off. First of all, we left completely starving. There was not one single ounce of protein in any of the courses, and every dish was aggressively salty. The service was just as much of a joke as the food. We never got our water or sodas refilled, and the staff completely ignored every single request we made. They also totally skipped us for the welcome glass of champagne, even though we literally watched them hand it out to everyone else. The most infuriating part was the bread situation. They told us we could not have any because their "upstairs bread oven wasn't working", but we could clearly see them actively serving bread to the downstairs customers. Make it make sense! Also, multiple people in our group had upset stomachs after and could not even stomach the food and left feeling uneasy. They now believe they have food poisoning which is disappointing since we used to love this place! It was also too loud inside and we felt packed as sardines. When we finally expressed our extreme dissatisfaction to the manager, he just gave us a weak "sorry" and did absolutely nothing to make it right. Honestly, the food was worse than cruise ship food and the customer service is completely nonexistent. It was a huge waste of money and a ruined night. Save your cash and go literally anywhere else.

Chef Suzanne Perrotto opened in 2019 and named the restaurant in honor of Linda Rose, her mother. I have been wanting to go for years, but haven't because they don't accept reservations. Everybody seems to have been here from Michelle Bernstein, Guy Fieri, Raymond, Bruce, Greshka, Bill, Martine, Ariel, Quinetlla ... Everyone but me until today!!! Six of us decided to try going early on a Sunday evening off season. We found street parking around the corner. It's too Florida hot to stand outside in the summer heat. There are tables in front, a covered back patio with fans, large bar with a shared table ... There was an open kitchen with a large pizza oven, murals & shelves with ingredients covering the walls. I absolutely love good homemade pasta so this was a real treat. We waited at the crowded bar for :30 until our table for 6 was available. It was frustrating because diners finished their meal, paid their bill & spent :20 scrolling on their phones. While standing at the bar we enjoyed refreshing fruity sangrias. Our server was efficient and on point. The warm bread with butter and olive oil was crisp & delish. My husband & I shared 3 veal meatballs in a delicious red sauce. Couples shared their caesar & gorgonzola salads. For a main my husband & I shared the spicy lamb shoulder rigatoni. The serving was generous , there was lots of tender lamb, with melt in my mouth rigatoni that was full of flavor. To put that claim to the test; I decided to take my girlfriend out tonight and give this place a shot! Going in, there was surprisingly a good amount of seating and outside for a place that doesn't take reservations. For dinner, we ordered 1x wood fired house bread, 1x ala vodka with a chicken cutlet, and 1x short rib pappardelle. As for my review; we both agreed that we were both blown away by the food and service. First off, we ordered our food and received our appetizer within first 5 minutes and main dishes the next 7-10. To include, the food also came piping hot which again is almost unheard of. As for the taste; the house bread is essentially a foccacia; which was crispy yet airy and paired nicely with ricotta, balsamic, and EVOO. The ala vodka has a great contrast of cream to acidity from the tomatoes, a nice al dente bite of from the pasta, and tender crispy chicken cutlet! The short rib parpadelle was a show stopper as the noodles tasted fresh and had a nice chew, savory earthy/ creamy sauce, and tender bites of short rib which all together was AMAZING. My only small critique from tonight is that there is a 3% credit card fee which I think should've been disclosed before paying the bill (just FYI). But overall, this is was one of the best meals I've had in a while and will be coming back. Final verdict 5/5 stars!

That afternoon we asked if we can add one more person (so 6 in total) and were told we'd need to arrive at 6:15 pm. Logistically, that makes zero sense. The extra table seat wouldn't be a problem, and adding 15 minutes for the kitchen for 1 extra meal? But, ok. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant at 6:15. We are catching up, looking at the menus and within 10 minutes the owner is hovering over us asking for our orders. We ask for another few minutes -- we hadn't even gotten our drinks. He tells us we have 2 hours so we have to hurry. Look, I live down the block from Le Sorrelle. I pass it night after night, and yes, it's has its nights where it is party central. People love to host family events there. But most of the time, this place is sorely wanting for business. And while perhaps Le Sorrelle did fill up after we left, there was plenty of seating when we did slip out, well in advance of our 2-hour limit. As for the food -- I can only speak to what I ordered. A Caesar salad and Pizza Margherita. Both were awful. And I'm really not just saying that because of the restaurant experience that night. I previously had pizza at Le Sorrelle (albeit, years ago now) and it was quite good. Perhaps the cheese pizza would have been. As for a good Caesar salad, run, don't walk to Segreto Italia. Actually, just go to Segreto Italia, because Chris, Joey and Chip will treat you like gold and you'll have an overall outstanding experience.
