My favorite Pizza if cooked right but you never know if you will get a good one or bad one. There was a group of 5 of us there last night along with my 7 year old son, we ordered $112 of food and it was good for the most part, one of our group had picked up the check and the rest of us threw in for a tip. Then as we were having conversation and finishing our drinks a regular customer approached our table and gave us a $20 and rudely accused us of not leaving the waitress a tip. After the shock and confusion we noticed the owner and manager looking at us and allowing us to be humiliated, so we decided to confront them and explain that there must have been a mistake we had thought that we left plenty of money for the bill plus tip and that it was not very professional to allow a regular to treat paying guest like that and stand by and watch. The owner was very rude and said she was very aware of the situation as our waitress was her daughter and that her daughter said we had left a very small tip, which was not our intention. We also explained how there were several other ways that this could have been addressed instead of telling everyone in the resturant that we didn't tip. The service was mediocre and was not worthy of a large tip but we eat out alot and realize the importance of tipping well. After that experience I will not be returning. read more

I was shopping in Wadsworth and happened by this place at lunchtime. What a nice surprise! The lunch buffet is a really great deal at $7.99 and includes several types of tasty freshly baked pizza, fried chicken wings (yummy), fries, pasta (meh) and wonderful cinnamon dessert bread. I'm not sure why others are giving bad reviews....I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Everything I have ever ordered has been wonderful. I really love their wedding soup - the best I have ever had anywhere! The pasta is great, the pizza, the cannolli's (mmm!), and especially the GARLIC BREAD! The food is pretty good. My husband likes their Ruben sandwich. This last visit I tried the shrimp and pasta. It was OK, but you're better off getting the fried chicken. The server wasn't friendly, but we have been going there for several years and rarely get a friendly server. My family and I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again! We called to make a reservation for a group of 20-30 people. We had called ahead of time to get a quote on prices and those prices were not honored. We were also charged for more people than what we had in our party. The manager, Gary, was extremely rude and inconsiderate when we spoke over the phone and Maries is not willing to do anything about the situation! Mind you, we were there for a funeral! We have been to Maries at least once a week for the past few years. We love it! The pizza is the best! Love their pasta too. Side salads are quite large with piles of cheese on it. My wife wanted to go to Marie's for her birthday dinner. After reading reviews on Yelp and other review sites I was really worried that it would be a miserable experience. I'm happy to report that we had a wonderful experience at Marie's. Our server, Mike, was not pushy and kept our drinks topped off. I had the meat ravioli. My wife had the shrimp scampi. My son had a kid's pizza which he loved. The food arrived hot and in good time. Nothing to really complain about! The prices do seem a little high but the amount of food you get justifies it. I know they have decent food here, however I was very disappointed today when I stopped in at 8:30 pm to order an anti pasta salad to go. Nothing extravagant or that needs to cook. The closing time on the door is posted as 10pm and a note written on the door that they are closing one hour earlier this week for winter that would be 9pm people not 8:30 pm. Lesson is you may not want to go to Marie's in the even they may turn you away when they want . I was told sorry all salad items and food put away. The food is good. They tend to do a thicker crust that can sometimes be a bit doughy. If that is an issue, be sure to ask for a well done pizza. I like it either way. I like all food options from here but mainly stick to the pizza. The Achilles heel of Maries is the quality of service they provide. As a carry out customer, I often run into order errors and poor attitudes. It's followed by a management group that just doesn't seem to care about the service failures due to their staff. Fixing these issues and removing the staff members that create them would go a long way. read more

This is a very sad and disappointing restaurant for Wadsworth. They build a beautiful facility because he made a bunch of money selling land to Walmart but they brought the same crappy food and style to a nice exterior building. Horrible food tacky servers. My husband and I use to go to Marie's once a month, but the last 2 times we were there the service was absolutely terrible. Last night, we tried it again because we enjoy their food, but we will not be going back. We were seated and watched 3 tables seated after us receive service before anyone even stopped ate our table. It took our server 10 minutes to come to our table. She took our order and brought us our drinks and she never came back. We were to get a salad and bread, which never came. We received our appetizer from a runner, who grabbed us plates, but didn't get a chance to ask him for ranch, we thought our server would be back. But after waiting for another 10 minutes, we watched our server grab her purse and leave. Another server came over a few minutes later and we thought maybe she will be better. She brought us ranch and we asked for the bread and salad, as our meals came to the table. We watched the new server walk by numerous times and never stop at our table with other tables bread and salads, but never ours. She did refill our drinks once, but otherwise she did nothing either. There were so many employees walking around, but I have never seen such bad service. If you want to eat Marie's food just call and order it. The do not know how to take care of their customers. It doesn't matter how good your food is, if you can't even wait on your customers. read more

Warning: Stay away from Marie's Restaurant in Wadsworth! The owners treat their customers like crap and doesn't give a damn about you. We ordered takeout from there Sunday night. Starving, I ate the pizza and noticed that the pizza was pretty soggy. I just figured the steam from the pizza box sogged up the pizza. The following night, I reheated the pizza in the oven for dinner. While eating, I noticed that the pizza dough was RAW! I called to speak with a manager but of course after couple of minutes, the employee informed me that the owner was busy and could not get to the phone (even though it was 10 minutes after they closed). I informed the employee of my complaint. The employee stated they must have forgotten to pre-bake the crust. The employee called me back right away to tell me to bring in the pizza to prove my complaint. The next night I took the pizza in and spoke with the owner (he claimed) and he acknowledged that the pizza dough was RAW. He offered me credit. I informed him that I would rather get a refund (It was only $14.99) and he denied me. He stated that they do not do business that way. I then asked him if his business was to serve RAW pizza to his customers and asked again for a refund since I was thoroughly disgusted that I was eating raw dough and it would be awhile before I could come back to eat. He said no and then offered me only 50% of my money back b/c 1/2 the pizza was eaten. To my astonishment, I informed him even before I discovered the pizza was raw, I thought it was soggy but ate it because I was hungry and didn't want to complain. But after I discovered the raw dough, I was appalled and immediately felt disgusted. (It is not my fault that the pizza maker didn't do his job correctly to realize that the pizza dough was not pre-baked before putting the toppings on.) He had the nerve to tell me that I should have complained at that time stating it was soggy. He then gave me an ultimatum and said take option #1 - full credit or #2 - refund of 1/2 price or he was going to walk away from me!!!!!!!!! How can a business owner treat a customer that way! Am I being irrational???? Obviously he can care less about me or any of his customers! Well he lost a customer tonight! Never again will I step foot in that horrible establishment! read more

People who rate this nice Italian restaurant as less than 4 do not know what they are talking about. The food is delicious, I have eaten here twice. Once was lasagna that came with salad and bread, the other time was Hawaiian Pizza. The lasagna was wonderful with homemade sauce. The Hawaiian Pizza was to die for - very few Pizza places use top quality cheeses. Papa Johns and Pizza Hut's cheese is put to shame after you have a Pizza from Marie's. In fact, whenever my wife and I want Pizza, we go to this place. Just confirms that local restaurants are much better than chain stores. read more

Had pizza and chicken dinner. Food was great except for the Cole slaw that was way to sweet. Service however was mediocre at best. Seated promptly by two children probably about 10 yrs old. Took about 15 mins after that to even be acknowledged. Seemed to be a lot of employees there, but few actually doing much. Not crowded at all. First time at Marie's, and it was EXCELLENT!!! Our food tasted great and looked great. Everything was hot and fresh. Our table had beef raviolis, shrimp skewers, shrimp pasta, Tony's pepperoni bread, salad and desert. Our server other staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Marie's Restaurant offers the very best pizza hands down. I've been a loyal customer for many, many, many years and have not come across a better pizza in all of my travels anywhere. They have an extensive menu with lots of variety for the whole family. Chicken wings are outstanding as well and the JoJos are done just right. Not dry or too greasy at all. Friendly faces always welcome you on arrival even though they are often pretty busy which honestly you would expect for a place this good. Terrible customer service! We have lived and ordered pizza from them for over 9 years, today ordered s medium pizza with sausage and green peppers and the pizza had one sausage per slice of pizza and ton of green peppers. When I called to complain, the kitchen manager was completely rude and argued with me over and over. He clearly doesn't know the first thing about customer service! I told him that I was pregnant and had to eat the pizza instead of bringing it back, he kept telling me that unless I brought back he couldn't do anything, who does that? The food is alright. The pizza and chicken are by far the best things on the menu. The tomato sauce on the pasta is very bland, and the meatballs I got with my spaghetti were dry and tasted worse than store bought. The service was slow considering the amount of customers versus the amount of staff, but I understand there are always circumstances beyond the control of a server. If you're looking for great fried chicken or pizza, this place is great for take-out. The rest of menu in my experience is just okay. read more
