Marina Grille is a great spot to grab some drinks and food and spend time on a beautiful day. The place is huge with many different seating options. I always try to sit outside where you see a gorgeous view of the water and boats. This is a great happy hour spot with about $6 margaritas and bellinis and discounts on bud miller and coors light (though I do wish other beers were happy hour price). The food is really what makes this a great happy hour. This is not a cheap place, and the $7-8 appetizers and $1 oysters are a nice touch. I've had the tuna poke tacos (so good- my fave), chicken lettuce wraps, wings, steak bites, and burrata and all have been very good. Service has always been solid. For ambience and happy hour I definitely recommend Marina Grille and I don't know why it only has 3 stars!! read more

My wife ate there with her girlfriend who was visiting from Atlanta Monday night and insisted that we go last night with some friends from out of town. I was NOT disappointed. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive to our needs; the lobster tails (fresh, never frozen) were tasty and delicate. I was actually able to cut one with a fork. The house salad was sublime, very refreshing mixing greens, onions and goat cheese. The ahi tuna nachos were decent but the wontons were very greasy, heavy, and deep fried. I would have enjoyed something a little lighter. The ceviche was good but came with the same greasy wontons as the tuna. There was a lot more wonton then ceviche and not a lot of seafood. Finally, the octopus was tasty and tender. Started with obese rude parking attendant rudely telling my husband (a local and professional driver for a living) how he didn't drop off properly. We live locally and wanted to try it out. Never again. Rude people, mediocre food and warm beer. My drink was served in a plastic up. I asked the waitress could I please have a glass - ordering top shelf liquor and then getting it in a cup really ruins the experience and is a joke. Well my excitement for a new place has come to an END!!! A large group of friends meet at the Marina Grill for a birthday celebration on Monday, July 3rd. Place was busy, but that still isn't an excuse for slow bartenders, to run out of ice for drinks and to run out of toilet paper. These are all unacceptable and avoidable things regardless of it being a holiday weekend. Let's be honest if places like Parker House & Jenks can afford bathroom attendants don't you think you should???? Saying we spent $6 million to build this big, beautiful new place - isn't impressive when the all of the above happens. The oysters were mini and required work to get out of their shells. The tuna nachos were tasty (except for the greasy, burnt chips they came out on). We love hanging out at this place the food is always good and the service, never a bad experience, but lately the food sucks and so does the service. We just went couple of days ago and our server was just miserable. I named her The miserable Ashley!! She didn't even make eye contact or even smiled or laughed, I'm sure she got things going on on the side of your life but please don't take it out on your customers it's not fair, and that effected her tip too and I felt bad for doing that but she didn't even ask if we wanted more water, we were to afraid to ask her but she made us feel very uncomfortable. I came here with my daughter for Thanksgiving and was disappointed. After reading other reviews I can tell they get rated for the view and atmosphere and not the food. First off the server did not know the short holiday menu.When my Turkey dinner came out it had no gravy on mashed potatoes or stuffing and none on the side.Also they were put on the plate with a ice cream scoop.The portion of Turkey was small and disappointing. Management and servers clearly don't review the food they are serving before it is served. My daughter was disappointed with the salmon, it had whole pumpkin seeds on it instead of chopped like last year. The presentation was subpar. For the money I paid I can go to many other quality restaurants in the area.One other thing is they forgot the cranberry sauce. read more

Overall this place is a very nice spot to have dinner. You are truly paying for the view and ambience. When it comes to the food there's nothing special about it but it does the job. I'm so shocked to see so many mixed reviews on this place. I've been here twice once last summer and recently this week and neither experience was ever awful. I never left this place thinking that the food was terrible and not worth it at all. I'm really honest when it comes to food and this place isn't bad at all. We came for lunch and started off with Guac and chips and the wonton chips you get to dip in the Guac were phenomenal and made it so much better. If I do say so myself I feel like the Guac just needs a little bit more flavor...overall not bad at all. For entrees, I ordered what I believe is called a Mexicanli wrap and it was splendid it came with fries and I really enjoyed them (I highly recommend the Mexicanli wrap so so good.) By the end of my meal I was left completely stuffed. My friend ordered a ginger shrimp wrap and said it was actually amazing and beyond his expectations. My boyfriend ordered poke tacos and said they were hot and sweet which gave him a pleasure to eat them. Overall, the view and the food are definitely worth it. I recommend trying this place despite the reviews. I will definitely be back with friends again. read more

Be kind to the staff, this job is not easy. As a former employee I'd like to say Marina Grille is one of the most beautiful restaurants in town. The staff is amazing from the hosts, to the servers, and to the managers! The food is also delicious. Great atmosphere but the crowd that comes in during summer season completely ruins it! This staff works their hardest every day in and out to provide the best customer service they can. Being a hostess in this restaurant wasn't easy. Neither is being a server or a manager. PLEASE be kind, there are people going through back to back. Treat the staff as if their your family as they do the same. Remember to be kind when you visit, not entitled.. because the staff is trained to leave their baggage at the door when they clock in. You never know what someone has going on employee or customer.. this restaurant is amazing, crowded but it's a nice place. Before you go in demanding things to go 100% your way, please take into consideration that any of your family members could be the one facing the wrath of your bitterness. I loved working here, I loved my managers, and my coworkers but their customers need self evaluating before leaving negative reviews. Did they aim to create a new style? perhaps, "nautical industrial". It feels like they took a Costco building, stuck it on the water and built a restaurant inside. Just like this companies other restaurants it feels like your in an establishment just a smidge step up from TGI Fridays. Very corporate decor and lay out. It doesn't feel authentic; it feels processed, not very welcoming nor cozy and out of place. Now for the food. Mediocre and over priced. Very ballsy charging what they do for what you get. I would take Mr. Shrimp any day over here. I find it super interesting how people will pay for over priced drinks and crappy food just to be on the water. And when you leave and are dissatisfied take note that Pier 9 across the way is the exact same company. Don't fall into the web twice. We went for the view but ended up having to sit inside because they had plenty of outside seats but not enough servers. The food was less than mediocre. Basic burgers with no discernible seasoning, pizzas were ok but nothing spectacular. The hostesses had an attitude, probably because people were asking why there were so many tables but no one could sit in them. I think places like this are for out of towners, looking for a water view but not too concerned with food. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious, and clean. Equipped with huge screen TV on the back wall inside, bar with plenty of room around it inside. We went on a night it was raining so I'm excited to go back and enjoy the patio they have in nice weather! Service was okay, not super attentive - some like that but it was hard to get someone's attention to ask for something. Food was good, but I wish they had a salad option that was more simple/mainstream other than the caesar salad (i.e. garden salad of some sort would be a great option for many). My party ordered 2 pies which looked delicious, filet mignon, stuffed flounder, reef & beef, and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. I am only giving one star because I have to. This place is worth 0 stars to me. I went there for lunch with my co workers yesterday. Place looked like a great idea. Day was beautiful and the place was packed. We had no issue waiting 15 minutes for a table. When we finally sat down it took them 20 minutes just to take our drink order. I have celiac disease. I figured this being a fish place I would be able to eat no problem. When the waitress finally took our order I expressed fully I have celiac disease. I am allergic to gluten. What ever I order please check with the chef and make sure I do not order anything with wheat in it. I know I was very clear. The waitress told me there isn't much I can order as everything in the resturant is made with wheat. I told her I'll play it safe and I will order a salad. I asked her if the wedge with blue cheese has wheat in it. She said she would check with the chef. I figured this would be a safe option as the only blue cheese and dressings I know about that have wheat in them are the cheapest kind. This place looked nice enough and I was hoping by looks they bought quality dressings. The waitress came back and said no, the blue cheese has wheat. I told her no problem. I'll still get the wedge without the blue cheese or blue cheese dressing and I'll put grilled chicken on it and a vinaigrette dressing. We waiting about another 40 minutes for our food to come. She placed the salad in front of me. I took a bite of the chicken. It was cold and stale. I grabbed a tomato and a fork full of lettuce, took a bite and noticed right away there was blue cheese all under the tomato. I spit it out. Another 20 minutes goes by before she even came up to us to check on our food. My co workers finished there meals. I was left not being able to eat and now worried about the allergic reaction I know I was about to face. When she finally came over I told her I don't understand. I am allergic to wheat. You said the blue cheese has wheat in it. Her response " I put it on the side". She offered to get her manager. That didn't happen. She asked if I wanted something else. I said a normal salad to go. I did not eat it. I am still so confused why if I am allergic to something she would put it on the side. It should be nowhere near my dish. I will never return to this resturant. My co workers will never return. This was yesterday and I have now been sick for 24 hours. My co workers said the food they ordered was really bad too. It looks like everything is pre made and they heat it up when they get there. I understand they want to be open for the summer rush but stick to drinks there. No food. If you are going to serve food, train your staff. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more
