The cooler is always stocked with desserts and looks good but now we know. The box was dated 19 days ago. If this was the prep date, it's 12 days past its good by date - especially given the cheese in the topping/filling. It tasted pungent. No go. Another waste of $. Final straw tonight was biting into a staple in my salad. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that it fell in from opening the bag (they staple receipts to the bag and to close). But still the risk not worth it here, folks. Mama Mia would be smart to invest in a roll of stickers. I'm less than impressed tonight by one of our go to fast casual Italian spots. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars, and no fault of their own, was the temperature inside. We went in the middle of August on a 90+ degree day with insane humidity. We walked inside and it was hot. They had fans running. I asked if there was an issue with their HVAC, and the manager told us it's out of their hands. It's their "established" owner who runs the show when it comes to building ordinance and temp. Sitting in the bar area with the air moving was perfectly comfortable. But it was a different story in the back room away from the fans and moving air, where we were first seated. If you're here in the heat of the summer, make sure to get the 5 star experience in the bar area. This is a non issue the rest of the year. Regardless, come and enjoy the 5 star food and 5 star service. You won't be disappointed!

My friend said that he wasn't going to eat any of it and that he'd still pay to which the owner turned around and said that my friend of course still had to pay for the lasagna that he barely ate. They didn't skimp on toppings, especially for the meat lovers pizzas, they were loaded up. The crust wasn't anything that WOWed me though, it was soft, and thin, but lacked any real flavor. But any pizza is good pizza in my opinion. Their pricing was fair, and they delivered as scheduled!

Lately, I had a couple basic pizzas from them at a function in downtown, and we also stopped in for lunch on a total whim, wanting a pizza buffet. First, the pizzas over the years. I would say, on par with most of the locally owned pizza and local franchise spots around, like an Elizabeth's. Sometimes, I would describe the pizza as dry, other times, the sauce ratio is a little better and it is quite good. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, I would say, if you're considering a pizza... go for it, decide for yourself. Now, our most recent experience inside the restaurant, was simply not a positive one. We came in around 1pm, wanting to do the pizza buffet. Unfortunately, looking at what was available, it just wasn't appealing. The pizza was very cold, it needed a refresh. We expressed this to the waitress. If she had said "we'll make you a fresh pizza of whichever type you want" we'd have been game. That's not the response we got, so we moved on to hot subs. I ordered the meatball sub, my wife ordered chicken parm. The meatball was, just ok. The meatballs themselves were sliced and warm, sauce was the same I was used to from the pizza, cheese could have used more time to melt, but overall... I was OK. Her sandwich, was not good at all. She did write her own review about it, and I happen to agree. It's generally expected that ordering a chicken parm sandwich at an italian pizzeria is going to be a breaded cutlet. What was given was the shaved chicken that you would normally see if someone orders chicken on a pizza (not my thing, but to each their own). The result was very very dry chicken. The sandwich sat on her plate with two bites taken out of it for the meal duration. No prompt was given for whether we enjoyed our meal. In all, I learned my lesson that day, that this place is good for a fresh pizza. I'll only go that route in the future. The sandwiches were simply not our preference. The chicken parm needs to be rethought, or better explained as shaved chicken.
